We were looking for a home for my mother of 98.
We were lucky to find Meadowbrook.
Denise the manager was friendly and very helpful.
Unbelievably she managed to place my mother in the home within a week!
Everything went really smoothly and professionally.
She has been there just over a week
and she is a changed woman. She now occupies her self and makes conversation and laughs and joins in.
We haven't seen her so happy for a quite a while! and she said to me she is very happy being there and couldn't go back home now. Amazing in a week with Denise and her staff to support her she couldn't be happier
She is joining in the activities and is enjoying life again. Cannot fault the home.
Denise and her smiling friendly helpful staff have been brilliant. My sister and I do not have to worry anymore about her being lonely as mother is being taken care of thanks to Meadowbrook care home. Thank you all

It was my dads birthday on Sunday 26th. As there was 16 in our party including 6 children we asked if we could have a buffet lunch, this was really lovely, we had a large pot of chilli with rice, chicken goujons, deviled eggs, wedges of cheese and biscuits pickles. Salad, chocolate brownie, chocolates
for the children, and a beautiful homemade birthday cake in the shape of a hat. Being a beautiful day they had opened the doors to the garden that was decorated with lots of balloons. They had taken great care to make dad's birthday very memorable with a beautiful flowered plaque and balloons on his door. Thank you so so much to Ella and James that was with us for the afternoon. Thank you to the chef, the food was delicious, and of course all the staff the helped make dads day so special. From all the family xx

The care i see is amazing for my father in law, we love him to bits and the staff care so much about him, he arrived in January 2026 and seems to have settled in really well. He has moved floors due to his condition, the transition went well for him, I would highly recommend this care home, we as a

Wonderful afternoon spent at Meadowbrook celebrating VE Day. The staff had gone to so much trouble for the residents, including personalised scarves for the ladies and pin badges for the men.
The cocktails were flowing and a delicious afternoon tea was provided.
The singer was great and involved
everyone. We all really enjoyed it.
Thank you.

My mother has been at Meadowbrook for 6 months and I am absolutely delighted with the care she is receiving. The staff are all so friendly, kind and caring and make such an effort to get to know the residents well and create a very welcoming environment for both residents and their families. The facilities
are excellent and my mother loves to come down to the Bistro with us for coffee and cake. We have also enjoyed delicious meals in the Bistro and had an excellent afternoon tea in the Private Dining Room for her birthday. In addition the playroom (Clown Town!) has been a godsend each week when we bring our young granddaughter in to visit. She has a wonderful time and my mother (and many others) thoroughly enjoy watching her play. It really helps create a happy family atmosphere.
The range of activities at Meadowbrook is also amazing with so many things to choose from and it is clear a great deal of thought goes into arranging them.
Reply from Michelle Humphreys, General Manager at Meadowbrook Care HomeThank you so much for your glowing review. We are truly delighted to hear how happy you are with the care your mother receives from the Meadowbrook team.

Meadowbrook is like walking into a 5 star hotel. It's immaculately clean and nice light decor. The staff are amazing. They are so kind, caring and so pleasant. Always so willing to help with any concerns family visitors have with their loved ones. The food is excellent, make by the chefs. The atmosphere
here is lovely and everybody seems happy and so do the residents. It's lovely and warm for the residents, which is so important and it smells pleasant and not of urine. My father in law wasn't happy with his chair in his bedroom, had a chat to one of the managers and she sorted out for him. The bedroom he has is a nice size and luxurious, with a fantastic en-suite. We love the private family and friends rooms too. We can't fault Meadowbrook. When we are old we want to move in there.

We moved my dad to Meadowbrook in July 2025 after he'd been in care for several years prior at another care home. We were absolutely blown away with what presented us. It was unlike any other care home we'd seen before. More like a 5 star hotel. We wished meadowbrook had been open when my dad first
went into care as he would have felt very comfortable here. Unfortunately having dementia he's unable to enjoy everything that Meadowbrook have on offer. Nowadays we are more interested in dad being comfortable, we'll fed and a high level of care and attention. We can't fault meadowbrook in any way. They tick all of the boxes. Since moving here his personal care has shown significant improvement. He is eating much better. And in himself he seems much happier.
We are so pleased to have chosen to make the move to Meadowbrook its not easy making the decision to move someone with this level of dementia but it was a worthwhile decision. Thank you to everyone at Meadowbrook.
Reply from Laura Adams, General Manager at Meadowbrook Care HomeThank you so much for your kind words. I am blown away with Meadowbrook. I have had to make the most difficult decision to place my brother into care as he can no longer cope with his Parkinson's & Dementia and the home care was not enough. After researching a few homes I was recommended Meadowbrook by my daughter in law who is in the medical
profession, and met with Yvonne and I have not looked back since. Yvonne has been there every step of the way since April when the journey began, her advice and support has been second to none. It is due to her warmth and caring and genuine attitude that without doubt made my decision so easy. Laura the Manager came to my brothers home to do the assessment and again was absolutely lovely. The care team are all lovely and engaging. The home is beautiful, fresh, clean and new, lovely furnishings, food is very good, love the bar/bistro area even has a gin & cocktail menu!! A calm, relaxed atmosphere. I initially booked respite and we are integrating into permanent care.

All aspects and all areas of the residential home work for me and have been successfully well designed for its residents generally. The bedrooms, including ensuite shower/toilet, are comfortable and satisfactorily furnished for residents, in which beds are made and rooms cleaned on a daily basis. There
are also well-equipped bathrooms available for those that might need them. Breakfast and lunches are very good indeed and lunches offer different menu choices each day. Supper is early and has a more limited menu choice with a degree of repetition. An activities programme is published each week, which contains a variety of interesting choices for residents.
Reply from Laura Adams, General Manager at Meadowbrook Care HomeThank you for your thoughtful and comprehensive feedback. We're very pleased to hear that all aspects of the residential home are working well for you and that the design meets the needs of our residents. It's especially encouraging to know that the bedrooms, ensuite facilities, and daily housekeeping are contributing positively to your comfort.

(1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 80 registered maximum number of service users is 16, which has been reached with 44 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
