Meadowbrook Care Home

I stayed for another week respite and everybody I met was very nice and helpful. One particular member of the night staff was excellent. Nothing was ever too much trouble. I could ask for anything and I felt well looked after.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Meadowbrook

The Meadowbrook team were responsive, professional, warm and welcoming from the start. From their initial assessment it felt like they were interested in getting to know my mother, her needs and her preferences. The setting and quality of the building is excellent and offers a feeling more of a luxury hotel than my perception, and previous experience, of a care home. It was very easy to obtain ongoing updates on my mothers rest bite recovery with a responsive and friendly reception team who quickly helped communications with Mum. All the admin and charges were straightforward, clear and upfront. Meadowbrook was a great help to us as a family. From the family side particular thanks to Michelle and Denise for the bespoke organisation and execution.

Mum had 2 falls in quick succession, the 2nd one all the way down the stairs. The falls left her badly bruised and her fierce, independent confidence shaken.

3 weeks at Meadowbrook have done wonders, she has rested properly & worked on her mobility/strength with Molly, the PT. She enjoyed delicious meals with wonderful company from other residents & she also had a visit to the in-home salon to have her hair cut. My sister & I enjoyed lunches with her where we saw her delight in the variety of menus. Meadowbrook's catering team provided meals that had her interested to try new flavours rather than pick at familiar ones.

Mum said Meadowbrook is like a posh hotel with beautiful touches at every point. Her room was bright, cheery & comfortable with the outlook over the gardens & car park, she would wait at the window to wave us off. We noted that Housekeeping kept every area of the home beautifully clean & everywhere smelt fresh when we visited.

My husband and I stayed at Meadowbrook in the Summer of 2026 for a period of respite. We found staff to be professional and friendly; nothing was too much trouble. Requests and questions were dealt with quickly and efficiently. We found all the staff; from the management, the receptionists, housekeeping staff, carers, in fact everyone, was caring and made a real effort to get to know the residents. Interests and hobbies were encouraged. Residents were listened to with regular meetings. Visits from family and friends were encouraged. Food was good and varied, and special diets and food requests were organised, just a mention to a staff member and it was done. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned daily, Regular trips out. a changing activity chart and regular events meant there was never a dull moment. We didn't know what to expect when moving to a care home, we were pleasantly surprised and plan to return for another period of respite.

Was shown around and could not fault anything spotless

All staff were so friendly the home was so amazing the friend we came to see was happy he had slept really well ( like a log ) he said everyone was nice and all talked to him. He said better than a holiday we had dinner there and food was great.

On every occasion the staff and facilities have been excellent. The residential areas are very comfortable and have none of the institutional feel that so many care homes have. And the staff are exceptional. Many of the staff are of long standing and remember my wife from visit to visit. They are wonderfully welcoming and caring. Visiting is always a pleasurable experience.

All day staff were excellent. Minority of night staff were good but others were very casual but a gew words of comfort would have been very welcome. Best care home I have ever been in (despite the high cost!!!)

Your policy of 7 days + 6 nights is a niggle that could put off respite stayers and I can see no advantage to management.

The character and care are excellent. My mother is encouraged to live rather than just exist. The facility is of a very high standard. We are very happy that my mother is happy.

Absolutely beautiful setting, stunning interior design and facilities within the home. But most of all, your staff are so kind, caring and empathetic, really treating Su's with such dignity and care and kindness. It really is beautiful to see residents treated with such love and care.

Denise and her smiling friendly helpful staff have been brilliant. My sister and I do not have to worry anymore about her being lonely as mother is being taken care of thanks to Meadowbrook care home. Thank you all

It was my dads birthday on Sunday 26th. As there was 16 in our party including 6 children we asked if we could have a buffet lunch, this was really lovely, we had a large pot of chilli with rice, chicken goujons, deviled eggs, wedges of cheese and biscuits pickles. Salad, chocolate brownie, chocolates for the children, and a beautiful homemade birthday cake in the shape of a hat. Being a beautiful day they had opened the doors to the garden that was decorated with lots of balloons. They had taken great care to make dad's birthday very memorable with a beautiful flowered plaque and balloons on his door. Thank you so so much to Ella and James that was with us for the afternoon. Thank you to the chef, the food was delicious, and of course all the staff the helped make dads day so special. From all the family xx

The care i see is amazing for my father in law, we love him to bits and the staff care so much about him, he arrived in January 2026 and seems to have settled in really well. He has moved floors due to his condition, the transition went well for him, I would highly recommend this care home, we as a family are felt so welcome too.

The range of activities at Meadowbrook is also amazing with so many things to choose from and it is clear a great deal of thought goes into arranging them.

I have nothing but excellent in all aspects of care shown both to me and my dear friend, David. Although only a short stay he was very very happy. Thanks to all the staff at Meadowbrook.

Unfortunately, the difficult decision had to be made to move my mum into a care home about a month ago. Meadowbrook have been amazing. All the staff in every department are caring, thoughtful and genuine. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are supporting mum with the appropriate love and care. Thank you to all. It's so comforting to know how well she's being looked after.
