This was our dad's second stay at The Chase, and once again we honestly can't thank the staff enough. From the moment he arrived, he was made to feel so welcome, and that warmth extends to us as a family every single time we visit. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble, and there is always a friendly
face, a kind word, and a genuine sense that they really care.
The care our dad receives is absolutely fantastic. He is so well looked after, and it's clear that the staff take real pride in what they do. They go above and beyond to make sure he is comfortable, supported, and treated with dignity at all times. Knowing he is in such safe and caring hands means everything to us. When he's there, we can truly relax, knowing he is being so well cared for, which is something you can't put a price on. Thank you to everyone at The Chase for the incredible care, kindness, and effort you show day in and day out. We are so grateful for everything you do.
Reply from Laura Adams, CRM at The ChaseThank you so much for your incredibly kind words. It truly means the world to us that you took the time to share your experience.
We are so pleased that your dad's second stay with us has been just as positive as his first. Making both our residents and their families feel welcome, supported, and valued is at the heart of everything we do, so it's wonderful to hear that this has been your experience each time you visit.
Your comments about the team will be shared with everyone - they will be so proud to know their care, compassion, and dedication have made such a difference. Providing care with dignity, warmth, and genuine kindness is something we are deeply committed to, and knowing that you feel able to relax when your dad is with us is the greatest compliment we could receive.
Thank you again for your trust and gratitude. It is a privilege to care for your dad, and we look forward to continuing to support you all in any way we can.

From the very first call, to book a visit, to then viewing the Chase, we knew it was the best place for my mother in law.
It has such a homely atmosphere and every member of staff we have interacted with are absolutely professional, kind and supportive.
It has been 3 weeks since my mother in law
moved in and she has clearly felt very comfortable and settled. The food is delicious and they have really thought about the way the choices are given to the dementia residents. Instead of a list of choices, the meals are plated for them to see what they want. How brilliant is that. The rooms are so lovely and all the clothes have their labelling tags put on at arrival. The staff really know their residents and want the best for them and it really shows.
It was a difficult decision to make for my mother in law, but seeing her joining the different activities, looking more relaxed, it's clear to see that the Chase invests in its staff which then shows in their high level of care.
Reply from Laura Adams, CRM at The ChaseThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful message. It truly means a great deal to us.
We are delighted to hear that from your very first contact with The Chase you felt confident it was the right place for your mother-in-law. Creating a welcoming, homely environment and offering support from the very beginning is extremely important to us, so it is lovely to know this was your experience.
We are especially pleased to hear how comfortable and settled your mother-in-law has become in such a short time. Your comments about the food, the way choices are presented to residents living with dementia, and the attention to detail with rooms and clothing labelling are greatly appreciated. These small but meaningful touches are all part of our commitment to providing person-centred care.
It is also wonderful to hear that she is enjoying the activities and appears more relaxed. We will be sure to share your kind words with our team.

My step-mother has advanced Alzheimer's. She has recently moved into The Chase on a permanent basis because we could no longer ensure her safety at home. The staff made enormous efforts to make her feel welcome, understand her needs and help her settle in. The transition has been very successful
and we, together with her friends who have visited, believe she has settled extremely well and is happy.
All of the staff are friendly and professional and all already appear to be well acquainted with my step-mother.
Reply from Laura Adams, CRM at The ChaseThank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful reply.
We are truly pleased to hear that your step-mother has settled so well and that the transition into The Chase has been a positive one for her, for you, and for her friends. Supporting residents through such an important change is something we take very seriously, and it means a great deal to know that our efforts have helped her feel safe, comfortable, and happy.
Your kind words about our team will be shared with the staff, who are deeply committed to providing compassionate, person-centred care and building meaningful relationships with every resident. Knowing that this has made a difference is incredibly rewarding for us all.
Please be assured that we will continue to do everything we can to support your step-mother's wellbeing and to work closely with you and her loved ones.

Mum moved to The Chase at the end of October 2025. All staff members made mum feel at home from the outset despite her anxieties. Since this time I have visited on a regular basis and have always found mum's room clean and tidy and mum well dressed and cared for. Mum is still settling in but I'm sure
everyone will continue to support her. Food choices are good and there are daily activities which she joins in with.

Thank you again for your trust and confidence in our team. We are very happy to have your mum as part of our community and will continue to do all we can to support her wellbeing.

I am very happy to be a resident here. Without exceptions all the staff are kind and friendly which I think is most important, and they are also efficient. Activities are varied and there is always something to do. Food is very good - I have never gone hungry at mealtimes for there is plenty of choice.
Wherever I go in the building there is always a friendly person to talk to. I have experienced life in one other home - only briefly - and I know how lucky we are here!

I had dinner with my Dad today, we ate in the bistro off the extensive menu, the food never disappoints along with the excellent front of house on this occasion Chris. We both had the Brie to start then I had Caesar salad and dad had one of his favourite meals ham egg and chips, we finished with strawberries
and ice cream

From the moment we first stepped inside 'The Chase', we knew it was the right place for Dads respite stay. The home is modern spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. I loved every piece of furnishing. Dad's room was large, spacious, the ensuite was well equipped to cover all his needs. What really
stood out was the staff, every singe member of the team were friendly, helpful, and seemed genuinely happy in their work. That positively created such a welcoming atmosphere. It was clear that dad felt very comfortable and well looked after. The food was excellent, lovely bonus was family and friends could eat when visiting. He was very proud giving his visitors a guided tour!. I will absolutely recommended The chase! Thank you everyone for making dads stay such a lovely experience. He'll definitely be back for future respite care.

I came into The Chase following a spell in hospital and could not cope on my own. I do not have dementia so just needed looking after while I rested and recovered. This means I do not need the specialist care offered to majority of patients. For me I would have liked more activities as there is a lot
of 'dead' time between meals. Definitely need more things to do! Why no cinema? i have to accept the home is not the right place to be! I think it serves dementia residents very well from what I've seen.
Reply from Jessa Avila, General Manager at The ChaseThank you for your honest feedback and for sharing your experience at The Chase. We are pleased you were able to rest and recover during your stay. Our activity programme is designed for both dementia and residential clients and is enjoyed by many residents. We appreciate your comment about having more to do between meals; while many prefer some quiet time to relax after eating, we will continue to explore more options for those who wish to stay active. We are delighted you regained your strength to return home, as it is always rewarding to see residents recover and feel ready for the next step. At The Chase, we are proud of the specialist dementia care we provide, and equally proud of the supportive environment we offer to all our residents. Our dedicated team works hard to ensure everyone feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for, whether here for respite or long-term support. Your feedback is valued and will help us enhance our services further.

Outstanding Care at The Chase - Highly Recommended
My mum is currently staying at The Chase for temporary respite care, and I can honestly say that the staff are absolutely amazing. Nothing is ever too much trouble - they go above and beyond to help with anything you need. The care is truly first-class.
Following
an unexpected trip to A&E before her admission, we were naturally worried, but the staff were second to none. Their compassion and professionalism were outstanding - not just in the way they cared for my mum, but in how they supported us as a family too.
I can't thank them enough for the exceptional level of care and kindness. I would 100% recommend The Chase to anyone.

My father was moved from another care home in the area as the care and food was not up to standard. Since being at the Chase care home, my father has become a lot more active and his dementia has stabilised.
When visiting my dad, I am always offered lunch as I Make a two hour journey to see him and
have an occasion stayed for lunch which has always been exceptional. The care That my father has been given.is excellent ..
Thank you to all the staff for taking such good care of our precious Dad.

My Dad had terminal cancer when admitted to The Chase as he needed 24 hour care. From the first day we knew we had made the right choice. Every member of staff were caring and compassionate - we were kept informed every step of the way. You not only showed amazing care for my dad but also looked after
the whole family - everyone was made welcome. Although my dad wasn't able to participate in the activities, we especially enjoyed our Easter- making it special for my 20 month old grandaughter.
In the final hours I was even given access to a room next-door to dad, so I could be with him. No words can express how grateful I am.

We moved our dad here from another care home as he wasn't getting the right care or nutrition, he has been at the chase for 8 weeks now and all we can say is WOW,
The staff are amazing they go above and beyond in caring for all the residents .
The food is absolutely incredible, the quality is outstanding
and we his children eat here with him which is something we never did at his last placement..
To see the standard of food served is just outstanding.
Because my dad has dementia we were concerned the affect of the move would have on him, but it's actually the opposite he is so much happier .
Thank you all so much for making my dad so happy

My mother recently moved into The Chase as a resident. All the staff , from Reception, management, carers, activity staff, bar staff, cleaners , have been so friendly and welcoming , not only to mum but to myself and other relatives that have visited. Their support has really helped the transition to
residential care.
Their activity programme and enthusiasm of the staff has been fantastic! Mum especially enjoys the flower arranging and bingo, and enjoyed the carpet bowls too!
Mum comments regularly on how delicious the meals are and we also enjoyed a wonderful meal in the private dining room for a special Birthday and were surprised by a beautiful Birthday cake too.
I can highly recommend The Chase and Thankyou to all the Staff for all their kindness and hard work.

It's hard to put into words quite how incredible The Chase is. The facilities are second to none, the activities are amazing and the catering is brilliant. However, what sets the Chase apart from any other setting is the team that work there. Everyone we came into contact with was just phenomenal, so
kind, friendly and caring.
The Chase enhanced so many aspects of my Grandma's life and created the perfect setting for us to spend quality time together as a family.
In difficult times, they offered so much support and care and really felt like an extension to our family. The treated my Grandma with so much dignity and respect and everything was done to ensure she was as comfortable and happy as possible. Nothing was ever too much to ask and our experience with the Chase was truly outstanding. They allowed us to spend invaluable time together as a family and we are so incredibly grateful to every single member of the team.
Reply from Nicola Orwin, General Manager at The ChaseThank you so much for such a kind and heartwarming review. Your words mean so much to us as a team and I will share with everyone. 1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 61 registered maximum number of service users is 12.2, which has been reached with 34 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
