The care and support my dad has had during respite has been superb. Thank you everyone, very much appreciated. The environment, food and general atmosphere is calm and welcoming. Should dad require respite again, we will definitely use Collington Park.

We had to have my dad in respite following a fall and time in hospital. From visiting the site to getting him settled in was a very easy & quick process to which we were very grateful to the admin/mgmt team. The whole team were incredibly caring & efficient, doing their best to help our dad with this
transition. The actual home and facilities are superb. I would have no problem using the home again if needed or recommending it to others. Thank you!
Reply from Bianca Wilson, General Manager at Collington Park LodgeThank you so much for the review! We are so glad we could be of assistance and made this transition as easy for everyone as possible

My sister and I have been visiting our Aunt who lives in Collington Park Lodge.
Our Aunt is as happy as she can be in the care home.
We - her family - are very happy with the facilities, the care and the staff who look after our Aunt.
We travelled from Australia to see our Aunt and feel reassured
that she is in a new, modern facility that is purpose built for the needs of the residents who live there.
Communication has been very good and meeting the team who look after our Aunt has been terrific.
Our Aunt lives in a clean, modern light filled home and is respected by the staff who look after her.
Reply from Bianca Wilson, General Manager at Collington Park LodgeThank you for your lovely review, it makes us so happy to read this positive account of not only our home and our staff but how reassured you are with the home! My mum has been in the care home nearly three weeks and the staff cannot do enough for her, they are all amazing. She went in for respite care but we now realise she needs full time care. No job is too much for them. Any problems and they deal with it straight away. They are wonderful with all of us,
family as well, looking after us too. There is a lovely atmosphere in the home.

My mother in law broke her leg and has on coming dementia and is 94 we could not leave her alone in the house, so we looked for a respite home. We found Collington Park Lodge location was perfect for us living in Eastbourne and my Brother living in Hastings so we booked her in for a month, it was beautiful
and clean the staff go beyond themselves to be helpful and kind, after three weeks it was clear that she needed this care all time so decided to make it full time, she has a lovely room with on suite and a garden view and she loves it.

Everyone at the Collington park lodge in Bexhill have been amazing, welcoming and so friendly.
It's been a really hard decision to put my Nan in a home but that decision has been made so much easier with the help and support from everyone here.
Everyone has gone above and beyond to help my 94 year
old Nan with dementia settle in and within a week she has been calling it home and looking very relaxed and happy here.
Reply from Bianca Wilson, General Manager at Collington Park LodgeThank you for the lovely review! We all try our best to deliver the best care daily. We are so happy that Nan has settled so well

My mum has recently moved to Collington Park Lodge for respite care. She has settled in very quickly and is enjoying her stay. All the staff I have met to date have all been very kind and caring, nothing is too much trouble. It does not feel like a care home, it is very relaxed and the facilities are
much like a luxury hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend this rest home.

A friend is a resident at this care home, and so far, I can't fault it; the care she receives is beyond what I expected. They are caring and friendly. The food, from what I've seen, is amazing, and the choice is excellent. I know she doesn't take part in much, but this could change, hopefully, but it
seems as though they encourage residents to join in. The feedback page is a good way to keep in touch overall.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.955)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.955) out of 10 for Collington Park Lodge is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 24 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.955 for Collington Park Lodge is calculated as follows: ( (274 Excellents x 5) + (11 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 286 Ratings = 4.955
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Collington Park Lodge is based on 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 66 registered maximum number of service users is 13.2, which has been reached with 24 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
