The Downes Residential Care Home is a grade 2 listed historic building situated with 7 acres of grade 2 Registered Historic Gardens overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
The Downes offers the highest quality standard of care and accommodation in a welcoming, warm and friendly environment together with the freedom to live with as much independence as suits the individual ability and wishes. They welcome residents for short or long term stays. Each individual room has its own bathroom, TV point, telephone point, 24hour call bell. There are several communal rooms of different sizes offering the scope for residents to enjoy some space on their own or to mix easily with others. Throughout the building there are handrails where needed, lifts and hoists and all residents’ areas are wheelchair accessible.
