My mum has been in various care homes with varying levels of care. She had a setback and ended up in hospital. The care home she was in felt they could no longer meet her needs. This care home offered Mum a room. I've been impressed with the care levels, but more importantly, with the positive effect they have had with Mum's attitude. The staff are always upbeat. Very happy with the home and staff.

I have found my experience in Roebeck Nursing Home to be very friendly as well as professional. I have nothing to complain about, they all do their best for you. Personal care is excellent. I would recommend this place for a long or short stay. As of this moment, I cannot get out of bed, there is always someone checking that I am okay, from cleaning staff up to management.

I would like to thank all staff in this nursing home!

Excellent care, friendly helpful staff are hard working. Dad worries about Mum being in a home and the staff are always reassuring him. The manager is brilliant. She provides holistic care to her residents and looks after their families.

Everyone is treated with respect and dignity and the atmosphere is always happy.

My father went to the Roebuck Nursing Home for end-of-life care from the local hospital.
From the very first day, we knew it was the right place for him.
Even though he could sometimes be difficult (due partially to dementia), the staff treated him with the utmost dignity, care and love.
All staff took the time to smile and chat every time we visited (which was almost every day).
My family were made to feel so welcomed.
The staff all treated my father like family and in such a short time until his death, they were truly a part of ours.

We miss going in to visit and are so thankful that fate led us to such a wonderful caring place for my father to end his days.

Roebuck is very friendly and welcoming. The staff are lovely and care for all the residents to a high standard. The managers are very approachable and do their utmost to see to all needs or concerns.
The food is to a very high home cooked standard and always served hot. The garden is a lovely place for the residents.

All in all, Roebuck gets the thumbs up. Maybe could have entertainment monthly.

The staff do as good a job as they can give the numbers of staff employed (not enough staff). But what they have time to do is generally good. The food is acceptable but there is room for improvement.

I have been here for 3 years and I suppose there are a lot more residents. It can be very overwhelming with noise and visitors. The food is very good and on the whole, there is a constant change from the staff which troubles me over my relationship with them. They could be better trained.

This home is right for me. The activities, quiz, art etc still leave time for quiet spells in my room, for reading, crosswords and the daily paper, plus a rest in my armchair now and then. The patio also enables me to enjoy a walk around and be involved with the flower garden.

Following a very stressful situation due to NHS hospital giving me 12 hours to find a care home for my father - I visited the Roebuck NH and was shown around without me giving the home prior notice. The staff were very accommodating and answered all my questions fully. As a nurse by profession, I needed to know that the care my father was to receive was the best I could provide him with.

I was extremely impressed and glad they had a room available for my father straight away. He was transferred from hospital the next day. The care staff were extremely caring and never too busy to help. They made me and my family welcome. The manager always kept us informed of how my father was doing. My father's medical condition, when he left the hospital, left a lot to be desired and sadly my father passed away unexpected having only spent 6 weeks at the home. This was through no fault of the care home. I can only speak highly of the care and dedication that was shown to my father and would like to thank all the staff.

My mother has been a resident since June last year and I cannot praise the staff and management higher.
The care she continues to receive is one that gives her a better quality of life.
When she first became a resident, she did not want to get up out of her bed (and was like this when in her own home), but due to the encouragement of the staff, most days she now goes and joins in with the activities and uses the lounges and dining rooms. Her mobility has improved since taking up residence at the home.

The manager was also quick to spot an infection my mother had in her legs and by having a doctor on call 24/7 meant that swift diagnosis and treatment cleared up the infection in no time.
