I was transferred from my home to care centre after the death of my husband. It is the first time I have stayed in a care centre.
I have found the staff pleasant and helpful and friendly. The food is good and it is good that I do not have to shop or cook any food.
My family are happy that I am being looked after.

I did spend some money on clothes when we had a clothes show. I am having some toothache so will see a dentist.

I am disabled and in need of twenty-four-hour care. I came here five years ago for two bookings of respite care. Each period of two weeks duration.

During the second period, I decided to stay. It is the next best option to living in my own home which was no longer possible. I cannot fault this home. I am very happy here.

My mother has been a resident here for over 3 years and during this time she had excellent care.
The staff and management are caring, attentive and genuinely supportive of all the residents and their needs.

My mother feels well care for and extremely safe and this is very comforting to me.

The staff worked hard to make my mother quickly feel at home. All staff including managers, carers, kitchen staff and cleaners treat residents with care and respect. The ethos throughout the staff is warm and friendly yet professional. It is apparent that the staff treat my mother as an individual and are aware of her needs. They are always approachable and will listen to any concerns and act upon them. When necessary, the staff have contacted me regarding any concerns they have had regarding my mother's health so that a plan can be activated without delay.

I am able to visit the home at any time, just as I could if my mother still lived in her own home. The meals are home-cooked and there is plenty of choice. Residents are encouraged to join with others in the dining area to eat and also in the large lounge. Staff are constantly supervising these areas, which are central to the building's layout, making sure that residents are relaxed and comfortable.

My mum is a resident at Temple Manor Care Home. She is well looked after and the staff always go above and beyond what they are expected to do.

The staff are extremely friendly and kind to my mum and the catering staff are exceptional.

My mum recently had a birthday and the catering staff arranged a party buffet for our family with chocolate cake (this is my mum's favourite). They arranged a singer to come in to the home on her birthday and put balloons and banners up.

This made it an extra special day for my mum and our family. The rooms are always clean, with an en-suite and it is all on one floor, which makes it easier for the resident.

My mother was reluctant to go into a home she agreed to go for a few weeks respite, but then was happy for the arrangement to be made permanent. She has settled well and it is good to see her clean and cared for. The staff are all very friendly, patient and caring, and nothing seems to be too much trouble.

I selected this care home for my sister's care. It looked "a cut above" other care homes in the area for the level of care provided. This is so as I have kept my sister there for almost 3 years. Had I not been satisfied I would have moved her elsewhere. On rare occasions, I have had an issue and immediately taken it to the directors. The issues have been resolved immediately to my utmost satisfaction. I continue to be most satisfied with the care delivered to my sister. She always informs me that she is happy here when I ask her the question. I don't know about activities as my sister is a very private person prefers not to be included.

We tried a number of care homes in the area before selecting temple manor. The friendliness of the staff and the atmosphere within the building were excellent and what persuaded us to choose it staff team leaders are outstanding and all staff show care and compassion towards the residents. Catering staff go the extra mile for everybody's benefit and we are kept informed regularly. Visiting is completely open and we are always made to feel welcome and included.

The care and attention that I have received from the owners and staff has been exceptional. The admiration that I have for the staff in their attention and care is wonderful. I have never been refused any need that I asked for. I have asked that if necessary, I will be offered care and attention. I would recommend this home to anyone.

It is always a pleasant experience to visit my grandparents in Temple Manor, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Their room is always clean and tidy, and they always seem well refreshed and fed. There seems to be a good range of extra curricular activities for them to engage with and they seem happy and settled at Temple Manor.

I was only visiting for just over half an hour and in that time 3 very helpful staff members helped and assisted us. The response time was impressive and nothing seemed too much trouble. It was after lunch and all residents appeared very content and restful. It looked like a lovely atmosphere to maintain.

Everything seemed nice and clean inside, smells nice. My mother said food was very nice, cups of tea whenever she wanted. If ever she was up in the night there was always someone there to see to her needs and help and assist her. Everyone was nice and friendly, my mother said she would definitely return. Plenty of activities to do, icing buns, Easter bonnets etc...

John Reader
John ReaderJob Title:Company Director/Registered ManagerJoined: 2009

I have worked at Temple Manor Care Home since early 2009 and was very much involved in the refurbishment, interior design of rooms, choosing colour schemes and the general structure of the building.

Since we have opened I've learnt many things, gained trust from service users and relatives and achieved the statement of "Bringing care back into caring".

With our current rating at 9.7 within the area I like to believe I am currently part of one if not the best care home in the area.

I am the Registered Manager of Temple Manor Care Home, but its the highly dedicated staff that make this care home what it is, we are a dedicated team and in my opinion are delivering the best care in the area.

I'm fully trained in all aspects of care work and I have recently finished my level 5 NVQ diploma in Health & Social care.

I like to class myself as a very dedicated, kind, and respectful member of staff, available 24hrs a day to assist with any queries and support my staff to the maximum of my capability.
