Warrington Residential and Dementia Care

I cannot praise the staff enough for the care and kindness mum received during her recent respite stay. This was mum's first experience of in-house care and she was very anxious. Happily this fear of future respite/long-term care has been dissipated thanks to the team. They were caring and professional, and obviously formed a stable and established team. Mum enjoyed the food, environment and services such as the hairdresser. Mum had a serious issue with her power chair which was dealt with quickly and efficiently ensuring she regained her mobility with minimum delay. I obviously have no hesitation in recommending this home.

Warrington Lodge Care Home is a very friendly, well-managed care home for dementia residents. My dad has been here since April 2022 and he has gradually settled into his new surroundings really well. The direct care staff here are excellent. There is no doubt they fully understand the difficult time dementia residents are suffering constantly and they treat the patients with dignity and respect. Without these carers, life would have been unbearable for our family so a very big thank you to the carers and all the support staff and management who do such wonderful work looking after all the residents, including my lovely dad. You should all be immensely proud of the work you do for the families and the wider community.

I also feel the staff really care about me and are always happy to have a chat, they work so hard.

Cannot praise the staff more highly for the care and consideration for the last four years of my mother-in-law's life. She was comfortable and thought a lot of by all the staff who cared for her. She was treated as we were with dignity and love and the care they gave her at the end of life was heartwarming. We were kept informed of all things relating to her care and concerns.

I would recommend the home to anyone.

Very recently my aunt, a resident for over four years, was suddenly taken seriously ill. Flatly refusing to go to hospital. The staff at the home then supervised and looked after her during her "end-of-life" care. They were excellent, caring, compassionate and administered all her needs. They even gave time to me, my sister and my wife, ensuring that we were also "ok". I can't praise them enough.

I can highly recommend this home. Mum was well looked after, safe and happy. The rooms are lovely and well maintained. The staff are fantastic - friendly, helpful and caring. Communication with the home is amazing, even through the difficulties of Covid. I am so sad that Mum now needs more care and following a hospital stay needs to move home. I hope I find one as good!

Mum has been with this home now for nearly two and a half years. We were so pleased with the home when Mum first moved there. I can honestly say how pleased with Mum's care we still are. With all the ups and downs of the last two years with the pandemic, I was still able to keep in touch with Mum. I was notified straight away of any falls, changes to medication or if things had changed in any way. The staff are all so lovely, and I know at any time I can contact them if at all worried re Mum.

I couldn't be happier with the care my mother received at this home over the past three years. The atmosphere is friendly and the staff are helpful and caring. I was kept informed of any concerns or changes to Mum's medication and was reassured to know that when it was needed Mum would be seen by doctor. The home is well managed and has seemed to cope remarkably well through all the challenges that the Covid pandemic has brought. Although at times I was unable to visit Mum, the staff helped me and other family members to stay in close contact with her through Skype and I always felt that she was in safe hands.

My aunt was in this home from 2014 until 2021. Each time that I visited her, I felt she was well looked after in a super friendly environment. The staff were always helpful and often went out of their way to provide advice and information. I know that my aunt was extremely happy at the home and really enjoyed getting involved with the activities. Since the Covid-19 restrictions, I have become more and more impressed with the actions taken by the home, the care taken, and specifically the amazing communication. I received regular emails from the staff and the manager outlining actions taken with constant updates on the health of my aunt, the residents and staff. I could not have wanted better advice, information or help. Following the death of my aunt, once again, the staff acted in the most caring and sensitive manner; the comments about her for the eulogy for her funeral were very touching. As I live in Belgium, I have been unable to visit the home since my aunt's death. The staff, and particularly the manager, have all gone over and above what would normally be expected to help me with the necessary arrangements.

It was a huge relief to know they were safe, comfortable and very well cared-for.

My mother spent the last 3 of her 90 years here and was extremely happy there. When it became obvious that we could no longer care for her within the family, a move to this home was our first choice. The staff, both carers and management, continually demonstrated the genuine care they have for residents. She was always treated with dignity, respect and above all compassion and kindness. She quickly made new friends and joined in the stimulating activities, her interest in knitting was reignited and she greatly enjoyed group projects. The level of cleanliness, laundry provision, and the choice of high qualify food was excellent. She felt really at home, while her needs were always provided for, not just to the highest professional standard but always with great love and kindness. I will always be grateful for the care my mother received particularly at the end of her life and the support which was shown to me at such a difficult time. My heartfelt thanks to everyone.

I recently placed Mum at Warrington Lodge, as her previous sheltered housing was no longer meeting her needs owing to her cognitive decline from Alzheimers. I also wanted to move her closer to me. My decision followed a couple of visits to Warrington Lodge to view their facilities, accommodation, and to discuss Mum's care needs with the regional manager and head of care. Mum has now been resident there for over two weeks and I couldn't be more relieved and grateful for the support Warrington Lodge is providing to Mum. Aside from a well-designed, safe and bright home, there is a beautiful self-contained garden, two lounges, spacious hallways and the place is impeccably clean throughout. The entire care team and management treat Mum as if nothing is too much trouble. Of particular note, they are responsive to Mum's medical and mental needs and keep me informed about how Mum is doing. Everyone has been so kind to Mum and helped her to settle in, eat well, and develop a contented life. I highly recommend this home.

This care home really cared for my father who has increasingly complex medical and physical needs. The staff are very caring. I would definitely recommend the home.

My wife was at this home for four and a half years. During that time I managed to have a lunch with her in the main dining room, most Wednesdays and Sundays. I always found the food excellent and the staff courteous and pleasant. The home put on events and visits to help and make the residents stay interested and to help and fill, what could be a dull day. If anything happened to me I personally would be happy for my family to put me in this home. During the latter time, as my wife slipped back a little at times, I have had lunch on the man's table rather than wake my wife up. The home did offer to put a table in my wife's room, but it was my choice to have my meal this way. My wife was 96 years of age when she died, the home informed us early enough so we could all visit her and say our goodbye. I have always found them caring for the residents and us as her family.

Extremely high standards of care and compassion, so accommodating of individual personalities and a wonderful home for my mother during the 20 months. Her end of life care was the very best that I could have wished for. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My family have been very happy with the excellent care provided by the whole staff. From the moment we first visited back in June 2016, we were, and have been, very satisfied with the environment, the professional approach by staff. The care given and the attention given to individuals has been excellent. 13 staff attended Mum's funeral - this speaks volumes.

To us as a family, Warrington Lodge is first class. My aunty lived here for 7 years. She was the longest running resident since her passing last month. In this time, the staff were kind, caring and treated her with utmost dignity and respect. They helped make her life more comfortable and tolerable and nothing was too much trouble.

The home is beautifully decorated and has a well-kept garden with shrubs, water fountains and a fish pond. A well thought out daily activity programme is organised and Aunty was able to choose to participate if she so wished. A three-course meal was provided each day and Aunty was encouraged to sit and talk to other residents which she really loved.

We looked at many care homes but Warrington Lodge was definitely the right choice. Aunty was very happy, well looked after and we cannot thank them enough. A truly amazing team. Thank you, Warrington Lodge, for the warmth and love that you gave her over the years. We cannot recommend this place enough.
