Overall Experience
My aunt wasn't keen to move to a care home, but Warrington Lodge is quite exceptional, and staff won her round quite quickly through their kindness and good humour. She spent the final five years of her life there, with much happiness and laughter, surrounded by genuine affection.

Staff are well trained to support residents with dementia in a sympathetic and reassuring way. The design of the home makes it easy for residents to find their way; the quiet spaces and alcoves offer different places to sit and it is always possible to see outside. My aunt loved that there was a cat she could befriend - just like her own home. Warrington Lodge doesn't have glossy brochures or make big claims about outings, but there is genuine respect for residents and staff make a real effort to create good moments and good days. My aunt stayed mobile until fairly recently; when she needed assistance, it was given with dignity. I'm grateful for all the warmth and love she was given over the years.

Overall this home is a friendly and caring home. Attention to detail is lacking in several areas including cleanliness of residents rooms, ensuring hearing aid batteries are charged and adequate clean clothes being available.

However, my mother's needs seem well cared for on a day to day basis and complaints are taken seriously by management.

This home has provided a safe and comfortable home for me. I have Vascular Dementia and very poor eyesight so I need a lot of help with daily personal and practical tasks.
The carers here are cheerful and patient they are permanent staff so the faces are familiar not strangers suddenly appearing. I am encouraged to join other residents for meals and activities but if I don't feel like it I can always stay in my own room.

My daughter is allowed to bring her dog in to see me and that is lovely.

I'm extremely happy with the care that is given to my father here. Any information about my father ie Doctors, Hospital, is given to me by the care manager promptly by phone. My father is cared for with dignity and compassion. When visiting my father, I'm always greeted warmly and an update on my father (if not visited for a few days) is given to me. When talking to the home's manager about the care needs of my father, the home's manager talked me through each step and was so caring and amazing. I would recommend Claremont to anyone friends/family as this home was my first and only choice for my father. Thank you,.

My mother appears to be happy here and the care appears to be good and pro-active. If there are any concerns with my mother or her care we are kept informed and up to date.

Staff are friendly and approachable.

This is an excellent care home. They looked after my mother in a very caring and thoughtful manner. The staff were always cheerful and took the time to talk to my mother and to address her needs in a very considerate way.

She enjoyed the various activities provided and was very complimentary about the food. Her room was light and airy and had a pleasant outlook over the garden.

I am perfectly happy with my life at this home. The rooms, facilities and staff are of a very high standard.
I would class the rooms as excellent and well maintained. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are well trained and friendly.
The activities are varied and used by the majority of residents. If a resident does not wish to take part they are well catered for in their rooms.

I would say that this home is excellent value for money.

Having looked round several care homes when trying to find a placement for Mum, I am delighted that we found Warrington Lodge and that it had a vacancy. It is very well run, and staff constantly engage with residents and genuinely care for them. The building is beautifully designed to take into account the particular needs of dementia sufferers. It is particularly light and airy, with easy access to a most attractive courtyard garden. Managers are assiduous in involving residents and their families in decisions concerning them. Activities are well thought-out to be stimulating without being threatening. Warrington Lodge is so much more than a parking place for people.

My father, aged 100, was living independently until Friday the 13th of May. He had to go into this home as he was unwell and could not manage on his own any more. Unfortunately over the following two weeks his health declined and he died on Friday the 27th of May. We all hoped he would pull through and enjoy and benefit from the lovely home and it's facilities, but it was not to be.
During his last two weeks, the staff at the home were just fantastic with dad. Nothing was too much trouble. They attended to his every need and cared and nursed him to the end. I cannot praise all the staff enough, as my dad had a peaceful and dignified end to his life.

Thank you to all the staff and carers, and the District Nurses who attended every day.

This is an extraordinary place. The environment is light, spacious, well designed and very well kept. What is striking about Warrington Lodge is the standard of care residents receive. It is visible and clear to see. This is undoubtedly due to the strong leadership and staffing. The atmosphere is calm and caring. Staff engage constantly and meaningfully with the people who live here, showing genuine care.

My mother has been in this home for almost a year, The staff are excellent and she is treated with the deepest of respect, care and thought. They accept all her dementia quirks and are very tolerant and patient with her and some of her more unusual requests. This is an excellent home and i could not recommend it more.
