Askham Hall went over and above to ensure our Mum had a lovely respite stay. She was superbly cared for and enjoyed all the activities that took place. The staff were very friendly and helpful - and very hard working!

My brother was transferred to Askham Hall in early March 2025 & I have made regular telephone calls asking after him and have made 3 visits so far...
First impression of community buildings - what a lovely place!
On my visits I found all the staff very welcoming, friendly, helpful and caring. There
were some difficult challenges to deal with regarding my brother's early days in the home and I had no problem believing that these were handled most professionally.

Dad is well looked after and taken care of. All the staff are friendly & chatty. As a family we like knowing he has 24hr care as he has a few health problems. Being able to take him for coffee & cake is a great change of scenery for him also.

Overall my stepdad is well looked after. He seems to be happy and content overall. The food seems very good and no complaints there. He has put on weight at Askhall but he tends to not want to join in activities, this would help. Overall is very good.

The staff are polite, helpful and professional.
The home is clean and tidy, staff are friendly and helpful.
A good range of activities and Nana encouraged to take part.
Lots of choice of food and cook with prepare if other foods are requested.
The laundry staff are friendly and helpful - clothes
washed and returned quickly and very smart.
Office staff are very helpful, always answer my many questions or find someone who can.
Cafe - my Nan enjoys a cup of tea with family, a lovely area to chat, and staff are very friendly and work very hard.

We were recommended by friends and the recommendations have turned out to be good. It's always a difficult decision to admit a loved one to a care home, but we do not regret taking it.
