My Father in Law came into Askham Hall almost 2 years ago, very frail and a shadow of himself after spending a considerable amount of time in hospital. When we first visited him about 2 weeks after he went in, I was shocked at how frail he looked, I burst into tears!
We hadn't seen my Father in Law for 4 months as we live in Cornwall and visiting regularly isnt easy.
I said to my husband, I'll be surprised if dad is still alive at Christmas... fast forward 6 months...

Looking a LOT healthier. He wasnt skin and bone, he had put on weight, was healthy & had that cheeky sparkle back in his eyes!!!

I come daily, and everyone from management, nurses, office staff, carers, cleaners, laundry ladies and cafe staff are all so friendly and polite, everyone uses my dad's name to speak to him, and some of the carers go beyond what you would expect. The pressure has been lifted from me, and I thank all at Askham.
