Mum stayed for 4 weeks for recovery from breaking her leg.

She had excellent care and attention during her stay down to the staff managers cleaning side. She felt like family. Thank you.

Lovely home (having seen a few)
Food, location and staff all good.
Only fly in the ointment is an issue with medication protocol which I am assured has now been resolved - I feel this is a communication issue. Management and staff are hard working and motivated - far more so than in other homes.

All in all very good :)

There has been a few changes at the Rectory in the last year however this has not affected the standard of care, which is still excellent.
My brother is one of the longest serving residents, as he has been at the Rectory for 10 years.

In this period the standard of care has been outstanding and the staff have done an amazing job.

My 100 year old grandmother has been at the Rectory Care home for 2 years. During this time as a family we have been able to relax knowing she is loved, cared for medically and possibly fed the best meal available in Shropshire . I can't recommend the home and praise the staff enough. Well done all

Review from Robert P (Son of Resident) published on 27 January 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

The Rectory is a wonderful, caring and delightful residential care home. The highly professional staff offer a concierge level of service, facilitating the resident's health, stability and mental well being. The cuisine is first class, cleanliness is impeccable, medical support outstanding, and location tranquil, next to an ancient Church whose bells are delightful. Most importantly they care about each resident as individuals, treat them with dignity and provide a happy, vibrant environment. I can't recommend them enough. Ten stars if available.
