I think Weavers care home in Cookstown is bright, airy, clean, good food, and staff are very professional. They make their job look easy (which it's not) therefore creating a very related atmosphere. My mother is very well cared for.

Overall Experience

When I walk through the door of Weavers House it is such a different experience to any other care home I have been in. It smells good, fresh and clean (no urine smell). There is music playing in the background, all the residents are given the best possible care and attention. Residents are encouraged to join in activities daily. My brother and I attended the Easter party where there was music, making of Easter bonnets and a raffle. Food and refreshments were also general. The staff are all very caring, attentive, polite and are good listeners to all residents needs on floor two. Especially two members of staff who are exceptional in all aspects.

The carers are very good to my mum, they look after all her needs. They are in touch with me if anything happens and that is very helpful.

Review from Harry J (Husband of Resident) published on 5 June 2017 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
My wife is extremely lucky to have been placed in Weavers. The care and attention she receives is second to none. All of the staff are very attentive, patient, understanding in their day to day work.

They provide a professional service in a very friendly, open and transparent way. They have time to listen (in their busy standard). Any queries regarding clothing/health/continence are fully addressed. Their communication skills are very good. It is a very busy unit, but the atmosphere is very relaxed.
