We are more than happy to have my father living in this nursing home. He is receiving excellent care. The home has a lovely homely feel, very welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. We have peace of mind knowing that he is receiving the best of care.

As soon as we walked in we knew this was the place for dad. I was there when dad arrived and the staff were brilliant with him. He settled in very well and every time - everyday- we visited he was up dressed and sat in the lounge. It was unfortunate that dad was not well at all and took a turn for the worst very quickly. We cannot express enough for the love, care and attention we received from everyone. Thank you all.

I am a friend and visitor to a charming, elderly gentleman at Fairfield House. He has mobility and sight problems but loves his music, a chat and the odd piece of chocolate! He has no close friends or relatives but is a valued and well cared for member of this nursing home family, which I would recommend in every aspect.

My brother was with you for five years. He suffered with dementia, renal failure and other problems. He received full care and attention all the time, from all the staff, even getting a birthday cake on his birthdays. Thank you to all the staff.

Some initial concerns relating to a member of staff were swiftly dealt with to our satisfaction. We are pleased with the room that mum has. It offers her privacy as is required from time to time. The home is very well managed and the staff are courteous and caring especially with our mum who we are aware can be difficult at times due to her situation. Thanks to all at Fairfield House.

My Mum has been in the home for 18 months. She has Lewy Body dementia, walking difficulties and partially sighted. Throughout her stay and during several demanding moments, I have found that Mum has been treated with care and respect. A recent remark from a family member visiting for the first time was 'you can tell when someone does a good job or when they love a job, these carers love their job'. Such friendly welcomes when we visit and information shared when asked (I am POA). I only wish that Mum could be taken out more, but I accept that with her difficulties that is a problem.

My father's been there just over a year. In all this time I cannot fault them at all.

Always very friendly. They come promptly when called by the residents and are helpful with everyone.

Activities are good and engaging, really first class and well run by the manager.

We tried several care homes for a week or two for respite. Really the difference was staggering. Fairfield House is excellent.

Please do your homework when choosing a home for your loved ones. I'm not easily impressed but Fairfield house we found has surpassed all our expectations.

My son's physical needs are met. If there are any problems, special needs etc the home always informs us to discuss the solution, which is helpful. My son does not join in any activities. We are not responsible for payment so cannot answer value for money.

Fairfield House has provided outstanding care for my mother for years. She has dementia and needs a high level of personalised support which has been delivered by the kind and caring staff to such an excellent standard that she looks happier and more relaxed now than ever. The environment in a large period house is clean, bright and cheerful and the equally cheerful staff are unfailingly patient, caring and attentive. In fact, it is a home from home where the activities and care are tailored to the needs and preferences of individual patients. The manager is an exceptional leader of her team and, importantly, equally adept at managing the needs and anxieties of relatives and carers when required in the best interests of her patients. The overwhelming impression is of a very happy place to live where quietly professional staff are always on hand to keep residents safe and well. I have no doubt my mother is alive today thanks to the reliable, high-quality care she has received.

My brother was a resident at Fairfield House care home for five years. He suffered from multiple myeloma and also had mental health problems and extreme OCD. He received excellent care treatment there, in spite of his health issues. I feel that Fairfield House gave him an excellent quality of life for the last five years.

Dad has dementia and has been at Fairfield for 2 years. It is a friendly small home that caters extremely well for all their residents. The staff are brilliant, home is very clean and the food is lovely and plentiful. The only thing that would improve it is more staff to take non-mobile residents, like my Dad, out for frequent short walks so he can see 'normal everyday life' around him. The fresh air would do him good as would the stimulation of the outside world.

Reply from Kennedy Sabapathy, Director at Fairfield House

We are grateful for the overall positive comments. The level of activities capable of being enjoyed differs from resident to resident and management are always willing to discuss this aspect with the family.

My mother has severe Alzheimer's and has been resident at Fairfield House for 3+ years.

I cared for her and my father for several years at their home and mine until this became impossible.

My mother was in her wandering phase on arrival here, the staff are very good and my mother seems content.
