An excellent venue for my medical recovery needs after a complex series of medical events elsewhere.
The standards of care are first class, including,in particular, those of medical hygiene in my patient care from all sections of the staff, which has been hugely reassuring after my,sadly, experiencing
less stringent standards elsewhere.
At all levels from all the staff, the care of the patient and patient needs have been the priority, which is hugely supportive to those of us here for convalescence.
The food is delicious and varies day by day and week by week, which is an important part of recovery and strength building g during convalescence,of course.
The staff---- nursing, administration, cleaning and catering, are all non intrusive but observant of patient needs again, very reassuring to patients in recovery after complex medical issues.
The activities opportunities are varied and interesting as well,as do the small library of books to be borrowed to keep the mind active.

Arriving at The Albert Suits post/hysterectomy at the Hospital I was unwell. I am 80yrs old & was in pain & discomfort.
That first night I will never forget the kindness & how the night staff preserved my dignity. Slowly over a two week period I started my recovery. Unluckily i developed a chesty
cough, later on Shingles, again the night staff produced fresh lemon & honey drinks. I had good care with kindness.
The food throughout was 5star. I had guests to lunch or dinner. I was encouraged to attend a couple of organised events, also a special Autumn tea. There were guests there from Battersea Place residents Flats & it was a delight to meet & talk to them. This led to a tour of the apartments available to buy.
I am forcing myself to think about my long term care & to consider a new lifestyle. The closeness to The Park, London Theatres, The Arts, nearby shops & general in-house facilities is 1st class.
My start to recovery was at Albert Suits.
Is it my future?
Thank you

I have been staying in Albert Suites for over 3 years now. I came in because I had a fall, but because I love it so much and all the staff take great care of me, and I asked my family if I could stay. The care is excellent, and so are the activities. I do so many things like outings, cheese and meat
afternoons, and movie nights. I also like arts and crafts. My overall experience is 5 stars. Thank you to everyone. I will never leave you.

I stayed at Albert Suites for a week post-operatively and I am extremely grateful for the care and attention I received whilst there. The nurses and care assistants were highly attentive, empathetic and professional at all times. The same can be stated for all the other staff members I encountered.
I always felt safe and totally looked after throughout the duration of my stay. The facilities and services provided were of a very high standard and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Albert Suites to anyone else requiring post-operative care.
Reply from Joana Pereira, Head of Business Development at Albert Suites at Battersea PlaceThank you so much for your wonderful review! I discovered Albert Suites in November 2024 when looking for respite care following spinal fusion surgery planned in May 25. It was by far the best place I found in London and they were very thorough at ensuring they could care for me post-surgery by arranging a meeting with the physiotherapist. This
was a fantastic opportunity to start a prehab programme with the physio at home. The physiotherapist was brilliant and made a great contribution to my recovery. I had a lovely, comfortable room where I could relax and recover and all the staff were friendly and great at caring for me. I'd like to thank everyone and the manager for organising a comfortable and stress-free stay. I'm definitely missing the food now that I'm home.

All very good but impossible to arrange a cup of tea in bed each morning?
They have lovely staff and the food is ok.
Very uncomfortable single bed. A thin mattress on a wooden slatted base! Slightly improved by a mattress topper!

I spent a week in the Albert Suites following major spinal surgery and before returning home.
My room was excellent, well-appointed, clean and air-conditioned.
I found the staff very friendly and efficient, answering the bell for assistance without delay, day and night and providing analgesia as necessary
also without delay. Domestic service was good but the food, especially the evening meal was very disappointing and the method of serving it from a 'steam cabinet' where it has been languishing for some time, is not successful.
However, the level of help which I received as a bridge between hospital and home, was excellent and exactly what I needed and had hoped for.
Reply from Joana Pereira, Head of Business Development at Albert Suites at Battersea PlaceThank you for taking the time to provide your feedback about your recent stay at Albert Suites. We are delighted to hear that you found your room excellent and the staff friendly and efficient, as we always strive to provide exceptional service and a comfortable environment for our residents. We appreciate your comments regarding the food, particularly the evening meals. We understand how important quality dining options are, especially during recovery. I want to assure you that we are actively collaborating with our kitchen team to improve our menu offerings. We are committed to enhancing the dining experience for our guests and will be reopening the Albert Suites kitchen soon, with a dedicated chef. The rooms are clean and warm. All staff are wonderfully polite, pleasant and helpful. The food was a little disappointing in that the food wasn't very hot and portions were small. Plenty of tea and coffee available. The bedding wasn't changed in the week of residence.

Having been in hospital for a few days, I needed to spend a week to recover without the need to look after myself and with the benefit of some nursing facilities. Albert Suites suited my requirements very well. My room and bathroom were comfortable and clean, the air conditioning worked well over some
very hot days, the staff was all friendly and pleasant and the food was healthy and well-presented.

The staff were uniformly kind and friendly. I had a fall while resident (not the fault of anyone at the home) which resulted in an ambulance taking me to A&E. Following a week in the hospital I returned to the home but had to go back to hospital for numerous tests. I was always accompanied by a member
of staff who made it all as smooth and stress-free as possible. My daily Physiotherapy sessions definitely helped to get me back on track after my fall. The food was generally very good, healthy and plentiful. I would definitely recommend the Albert Suites.

I spent two weeks in Albert Suites at Battersea Place after a half-hip replacement. I was primarily here to recover but also to do physio and get used to walking with a stick - I needed to practice stairs because my flat is on the third floor without a lift and physio was especially sensitive to this.
The nursing care was excellent, the staff were unfailingly courteous and helpful. The food was delicious.

Another excellent stay at Albert Suites at Battersea Place which is a great place to go post-operative for recovery. Lovely, kind staff who are also very upbeat and caring, special mention to the nursing team. Having stayed here twice I'm happy I don't need to come again, but should I rock up on the
Albert Suites doorstep again in a few years I know I'll be well looked after.

The overall stay was good. I was there with a fractured pelvis for three and a half weeks, therefore needed a lot of help and care. The food was just terrible, same menu for two weeks. Extremely badly cooked and the taste was terrible.

Altogether excellent, particularly the nursing staff, who were extremely thoughtful and patient and with a good sense of humour.
The food was good. Had the menu been changed every week rather than once a fortnight, I think it would have been better. The situation is on the edge of Battersea Park. It
is particularly good enabling me to be taken for a walk in the park nearly every day.

The accommodation and staff were all great. It was very helpful having on-site physiotherapy support available, so I was very pleased with the level of care I received during my stay. My only criticism relates to the catering side of things. It was very rare that I received a tray that had all the things
I had ordered for any of my meals. The carers were unable to do anything about missing or incorrect items as their role was just to bring around the trays. Having a member of the kitchen staff available when meals are served would be helpful. They would at least be in a position to address any problems. The quality of the food was good; it was just getting the order correctly filled that let things down. Seems like something that should be easy to resolve. Seems like a minor issue, but when it happens at almost every meal, it can get a bit trying!

I had a wonderful experience in November 2022 recovering from a hip operation. As a result, I have returned for a week of rest and TLC. The welcome I received on return was heartwarming and I felt I had 'come home'. I cannot praise enough the kindness, compassion and excellent nursing received. Talking
with some other residents, remarks were made regarding the relaxed, calm atmosphere and the lovely amount of laughter. Thank you, all of you.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.226)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.226) out of 10 for Albert Suites at Battersea Place is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 11 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 10 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.476 for Albert Suites at Battersea Place is calculated as follows: ( (80 Excellents x 5) + (29 Goods x 4) + (14 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 126 Ratings = 4.476
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.75 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Albert Suites at Battersea Place is based on 10 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.75
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 registered maximum number of service users is 6, which has been reached with 10 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
