I visited my friend at Almond Valley Care Home today. I was also having a meeting to go over my friend's 4 week review. My husband and I took her along to the café for coffee and cake and while we were there a member of staff advised that there was going to be musical bingo starting in 10 minutes and invited us to stay and take part. We did and had a great time. We also got to meet another resident who sat with us. Everyone joined in and thoroughly enjoyed listening to theme tunes from television programmes. It was also lovely to see our friend enjoying herself. Afterwards there was tea and lovely homemade cake for everyone who wanted it. An enjoyable and memorable afternoon.

My husband has now been living in Almond Valley for a year and he has settled in so well. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. They always use his name and have a real understanding of who he is which is so important to me. I love the idea of the mens club and as his dementia progresses they are always ready with solutions to deal with the problems. As the home is reaching capacity I do feel the areas where they socialise are too small but I believe they are addressing this situation.

Agonising and handing over the devoted care of my Mum was the hardest decision iv ever made. However, after only 8 short weeks iv watched Mum thrive, flouish, make lovely new friends and generally be happier and healthier. Never did l expect every single member of staff to b so dedicated, warm, caring, respectful and welcoming. Nothing is a bother. Also outstanding is the activities team. What they do on a day to day basis for the residents is amazing. Thank u also for making my life better too. Visiting Mum is a pleasure now!!!

My cousin was one of the first residents at Almond Valley and has been in residence a year now. The accommodation and staff are lovely and they constantly try to involve my cousin in stimulating activities whilst still accepting her limitations which change as time goes by.

My cousin is very happy in Almond Valley and I feel reassured that she is well cared for and I can speak with the staff for updates on her condition and care.

Our experience with Almond Valley Care Home has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were struck by the warmth, professionalism, and genuine care shown by every member of staff. Not once have we had a negative experience - the team is consistently attentive, kind, and compassionate, treating each resident with dignity and respect.

The home itself is beautiful, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed to meet the diverse needs and comfort levels of its residents. The environment feels more like a home than a facility, with comfortable living spaces and an adaptive approach that ensures each individual feels safe, seen, and supported.

One of the standout features of Almond Valley is its incredible activities team. The ladies go above and beyond to engage residents with daily activities, outings, and special events - always with a personal touch. They take the time to understand each resident on a personal level. Highly recommend!!

As a family we've been thoroughly impressed with Almond Valley- it has exceeded all expectations and felt truly welcoming from the moment we walked through the doors on our first visit. We visited several care homes in the area before deciding on Almond Valley and it feels like we made the correct choice.
Every member of staff we is very caring, compassionate and respectful to our Dad and all of us. It's not an easy decision to put a member of your family into care and the Almond Valley team have been there to mop up our tears and offer guidance and advice as we've gone through this journey.

The facilities are amazing from the People's Cafe where you can take your loved ones for a cuppa and where there are always fab cakes to munch. To the onsite cinema, hairdressers, lovely gardens and quiet rooms. Then there are the fantastic activities coordinators who constantly have engaging activities to suit every persons needs, all of which family members are encouraged to participate in.

My mother has been a resident at Almond Valley since late November 2024. So, we have had a good number of weeks to assess every aspect of the care home.
The management team are excellent. They have dealt with all the family in a professional and friendly manner.
The nursing staff have been thorough and attentive. They have also been very good at keeping us informed of any medication changes or medical issues regarding Mum.

The care staff have also been great, looking after Mum in a friendly manner. All in all, I am very satisfied.

Almond Valley is a lovely, homely place for my Mum. The staff are absolutely brilliant, and as a registered nurse myself, I recognise good care when I see it. Nothing is too much trouble, especially for Mum and our whole family. Going through a recent traumatic bereavement, we very much appreciated the support given to us all.

I'm very happy that Mum is well cared for in a supportive and friendly environment. Thank you.

My dad arrived into Almond Valley a very frail man who was bedbound. The care and support he has received is beyond expectations. It has taken a while but he is now very settled. The team take care to do things at his pace, making sure he is comfortable and happy at all times. With their support and encouragement, my dad is now able to walk short distances. My dad feels safe, happy and at home at Almond Valley. Initially, I thought Almond Valley was a little pricey, but the fact is, you can't put a price on having the best quality of life possible for him. All I can say is a big thank you to all of the team, the difference you have made to my dad's life is fantastic.

When the time had come to choose a care home for my mother who has Alzheimer's, I always thought I would visit various homes before making the decision but as soon as we started the search at Almond Valley the search ended. Not only did the place look fantastic and is spotlessly clean but the staff immediately made us feel this was the right choice and a place where my mother would thrive. We receive regular calls with health and well-being updates which really puts our mind at ease. The staff have made it easy for my mother to settle into the home, and daily events keep my mother occupied and engaged with others. The events coordinators are fantastic and post regular social media updates so I can see what activities have taken place and I can see that my mum is enjoying her time in the home.

It was a tough decision to put my mother into a care home at the time but it is 100% the correct decision and Almond Valley is 100% the correct choice.
