My mother in law's care in her last few months at Middleton Manor before my wife made the decision to find her mum a more suitable home was unacceptable.
My wife was keeping her mum at this care home in hope it would sort through it's major issues but after months of being patient it was getting much
worse. Making sure that the correct people are looking after our most vulnerable people should be priority. Anyone who is reading this will know putting your nearest and dearest into care is one of the hardest decisions to make and when you feel your unable to come home and be happy that the care is to an acceptable level then something is very wrong. But my advice would be to find another care home because the difference has been outstanding.

My mother spent her final months of her life at Middleton Manor (17 months). During her last days the home provided mam with the utmost care and welcomed and facilitated our family whilst visiting. The staff were no less than amazing. The new management have improved the general running and functioning
of the facility no end and the current team are the most caring set of people we as a family could ever of wished for.

My sister was a resident at this care home for just over two years, we were told it was a general nursing unit which was what she needed.
The unit started to slowly get more residents, but mostly EMI residents who could be quite troublesome and my sister is bed bound unable to defend herself, however
she coped with the situation very well.
Eventually she was moved to a completely different section of the building as we were told general nursing should not be mixed with EMI residents. We didn't want her to move to become isolated which is what happened. Then old management left.
This is when the real problems started and it became extremely worrying, my sister wasn't getting proper nursing care at all. Medication errors/delays. Lack of any care compassion and understanding resulting in my sister becoming very unwell. Lack of strong leadership.
My sisters last few months in this care home and the things we have witnessed has been utterly shocking.

Mum was a resident for just over two years at Middleton manor mostly happy times, however The past two months have been nothing short of horrific.
We did try to work through issues but they become extremely worrying to say the least.
Mum is in a new home and it's so nice to see her laughing again.

My mother was treated with warmth and respect by all the staff. Any medical needs or health issues were dealt with promptly and professionally. All the rooms were kept clean. She was a fussy eater but always complimentary about the meals and snacks in this care home. Staff quickly learned how she preferred
her tea and coffee. The staff were friendly to us and answered any questions fully. My mother was there for six months. During her final days, she was accompanied around the clock and I was phoned whenever there was a change in her condition.
We did not select this home, she was sent there by the hospital, but we think she was very lucky. There were sufficient staff with sufficient time to care for the residents. The staff were also very kind to me, especially towards the end.

Staff at the care home are very caring and approachable. They tend to all client's needs.
Clients are always well-presented and appear happy in their environment.
Food is appropriate for the clients and dietary needs are catered for.
If my mother has any extra needs or if I have concerns I can approach
carers or management and they are dealt with in a timely manner.
It is very reassuring for me to know that my mother is cared for and in good hands.

My mam has been a resident of Auguste just over a year now, this is her 3rd care home! Due to no fault of her own. We moved our mam due to lack of care all we want is for our mam cared for and how we would look after her, if that's possible! We have addressed any issues we have had and they have all
been addressed promptly. I must add that one of the staff at Auguste is amazing! I just wish all care homes had staff like her! She is our go-to person should we need anything with regards to my mam, and this carer will tell us how it exactly is! No pussyfooting around which we'd rather it was that way. The care home is clean and tidy and my mam's bedroom is always clean. The majority of the staff are accommodating and will speak upon arrival and will answer any questions asked. I believe my mam deserves to be in a care home that will do everything it can to help her with her illness and allow her to be comfortable there as if she was in her own home and Auguste does that.

My grandad was admitted to this nursing home in November, visited Xmas day, no activities, staff on their personal phones (personal phone cases visible - not pcs devices!) no music, no Xmas atmosphere, no staff spending time with residents, residents struggling to eat their Xmas chocolates. I had to
tell staff that people were hanging out of their beds. Role onto January, an altercation between my grandad and another resident, ended up with my grandfather being hit and falling to the ground breaking his hip, unfortunately passed away days later, had staff intervened when this altercation began our loved one would still be here. Now we are planning his funeral. That being said, the clinical lead is supportive, caring and has a passion to the care sector. Shame about the rest of the management team.

A few weeks after our mother had moved in from her previous care home, my brother and I visited and were so relieved and reassured by what we found and experienced at Auguste. The home itself is bright, airy, well equipped and comfortable. The staff are amazing people, insightful and experienced professionals,
and kindly took the time to explain some of the care strategies which had already helped Mum to settle and which they expected would continue to support her needs. Being at a distance from an elderly parent is not easy but knowing she is at Auguste, which is a different calibre to the average home, gives us peace of mind that she is now in the best place for her.

My mam has been moved to Auguste Nursing Home from a care home
I visited today to see her with my brother.
I can only say how delighted we were with the home, staff and how settled my mam was. The staff spent time with us too explaining what was happening and what they were working on with Mam.
The
staff appeared well versed and knowledgeable in the specialism that Auguste has, and we both came away relieved and happy in the knowledge Mam was in excellent, caring hands.

My mother came to Auguste Communities Care Centre on 21/9/23, therefore, has only been in for six days. She has settled very well. All the staff are helpful, pleasant and reassuring to Mum and family. Her room has a lovely view to the front so she can see people coming and going. The gardens are pretty

We visited an elderly friend with whom we have been friends for over 40 years. She was quite poorly so wasn't able to communicate with us.
