Being faced with having to put a loved one into a Care home is not only upsetting, its terrifying.

When mum had a fall and broke her hip, we needed to find a care home for dad at very short notice. I visited Riverdale Manor and met Clare, I was very impressed with everything I saw. We knew it would be a very traumatic move for dad, but Clare and the staff did everything they could to make the transition as easy as it could be for him. Not only was Dad well looked after, the whole family were made very welcome. They took time to talk to Dad and find out what his likes and dislikes were, even going as far as playing country music for him while he had a bath. Knowing he was so well looked after give us huge peace of mind.

Sadly, Dad's time at Riverdale wasn't too long but he was treated with dignity and respect right up until the very end and again the whole family were supported, especially when the staff laid on a beautiful high tea and planted an apple tree in Dad's memory.

In my experience I have found park ville care home,a wonderful and professional place with outstanding staff and management. Place that you can feel relaxed and secure knowing your loved ones will be cared for with love and respect.You can walk away feeling at ease and no worries that all is OK. I found the manager professional in all her dession making.Her dedication to her job is a 100%.

From my first conversation with the Manager, Clare, I felt Riverdale Manor was a very special place. Our visit as a family confirmed this. The purpose built home is beautiful, but it is the kindness, warmth and compassion of the staff that make it exceptional.

Dad is well cared for, well nourished and becoming more engaged again. Knowing he is in such caring hands has given our family real peace of mind. We would wholeheartedly recommend Riverdale Manor to anyone seeking exceptional, person centred care.

Although Mum has dementia, she tells me each time I have collected her just how "lovely" everyone is and how "they can't do enough for her". The home is always very clean & tidy.

My husband was taken into Sand Banks, Redcar on 13th June as an emergency patient. He received the very best care from the minute he arrived. His care was end of life and i can't thank all of the staff for their kindness shown to myself and my daughter at such a distressing time, i am so thankful that we were so lucky for ray to be cared for at Sand Banks every one went over and beyond for us all. Words could never say how thankful we are to everyone - Sarah, Milly, Julie, Emma, and others I dont remember their names

My mother has only been at Merlin Manor for a few months, but we are already seeing a big improvement in her overall health and wellbeing. She always tells us that the staff are lovely and very kind. They made a real fuss of her on her 93rd birthday, which made her feel very special. A first-class care home, I would have no hesitation in recommending Merlin Manor. A big thank you from all of our family.

They have also been such a huge support not just for Grandad, but us as a family. I would recommend Merlin Manor to anybody looking for their loved one. I have zero concerns and know that my Grandad is loved and looked after and has the best possible care.

Her room is lovely and looks out onto a lawn. The public lounge is spacious and there are doors out onto a terrace and lawn. Of special note is the excellent food, with plenty of vegetables and fresh fruit. After previous mixed experiences with care for my wife, I feel I have real piece of mind that my wife is truly being cared for.

I visited Riverdale Manor seeking residential care for my mother, having seen a number of other settings, and I knew from that first visit that she would be exceptionally well cared for.

It was a big step for Mum as she had lived independently but following a number of falls, was no longer safe on her own.

Mum has been a resident now for nearly a month and she is very happy and comfortable. The whole team have made sure that her needs were met from the first day. They took time to learn about her before she arrived meaning that Mum felt instantly at home.

Mum is reassured that she doesn't have to worry about waiting for help, which had been a problem previously. The team are extremely attentive and patient.

Riverdale Manor really feels like home, family and friends are equally welcomed.

What makes it truly special is that I no longer have to worry about Mum and her safety. I know she's being cared for as if she was family by the entire team at Riverdale Manor.

Since my dad came here three weeks ago, I have noticed how happy and settled he is. The staff are brilliant, nothing is too much for them. My dad joins in with all the activities and enjoys them. I really enjoy my visits here and would recommend this home to anyone.

When Dad wasn't able to return home after a spell in hospital we visited a number of care homes. None of them felt like a good fit until we walked through the doors of the wonderful Riverdale Manor. Riverdale Manor is a beautifully decorated, purpose built home which is spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. More importantly the manager and staff are excellent Every member of staff I have met has been professional and caring and have treated dad with patience, dignity and a sense of humour. Communication is good and as family we are included in decisions being made about Dad's care. The care offered to him is second to none. The transformation in him in just a few weeks is remarkable. They have got him up on his feet, lifted his spirits and got him engaging in activities. We can rest easy knowing that he is being well looked after. There is always a warm welcome when we visit and staff show us genuine care too. I couldn't recommend Riverdale Manor more highly.

We have found the nursing care to be excellent. The staff are lovely and very friendly. Any issues are dealt with discreetly and professionally. A good choice and would highly recommend.

Both of my in laws are now residing and being cared for here. My mother in law has been in nursing care since October 25 and her care has allowed her to improve following discharge from hospital. Carers annd nursing staff are friendly and listen and act upon any concerns we have . Her great grandson on seeing her improvement said ' they have fixed her ' . When her husband needed to move into residential care it was a relief to us that they had a room available for him. There have been good days and bad days along the way but we know that the home is committed to supporting them and us in managing their needs . The home management iare approachable and really know about the needs of residents and strive to ensure that very high standards are maintained. It is pleasing to see high levels of commitment and compassion amongst the whole team involved in providing the care individuals need.
