Our friend has been in yew tree for 6 months no and his mobility and condition has improved incredibly he is encouraged to move and not just sit like other homes he's been in he's happy always clean and dry. And eating more than previously did. There are always plenty of staff around who know him well
and are very helpful and welcoming. The management are always there to help answer any questions and their communication on any issues or requirements have been brilliant.

Mam is happy. Staff are very friendly. Personal cleanliness not as good as I would like (teeth and fingernails). Food is good. Mam has been here 3 - 4 months and staff still learning about her.

Inside the care home is lovely, looks the part, but the staff need more training, especially when it comes to dealing with medication, lack of knowledge, need training with administering medication, don't read mar charts correctly, which leads to patients been short dosed of medication, management rude,
on experience with dealing with this care home ide give it a 0,

Well yet another care home that is worse than disappointing! How come care homes don't show compassion in any way. My poor mam has dementia, which is bad enough, I go to visit my mam and she is covered in bruises all over her already frail body! And management don't like it when i challenge them about
these bruises. All accidents are unwitnessed, I may as well have let my mam loose on the streets than get them to so called take care of my mam. The managers treat the staff with utter disrespect too and your lucky if they last 6 months before another manager comes along to promise to sort the place out, yet it doesn't happen.Recently under yet another embargo, well doesn't that tell you something? They withhold medical charts, care notes and body maps from someone who legally has power of attorney, that would tell me that they clearly have something to hide after already not giving my mam the anti seizure medication she needs daily.Units are filthy, residents left unwashed.AVOID Middleton Manor
Reply from Lynn Maddison, Chief Operating Officer at Middleton Manor Care CentreWe are disappointed to hear that your Mum and you have had had a negative experience at Middleton Manor.
Living with Dementia is extremely difficult for the individual and their families and sadly explanations cannot always be provided when incidents occur, however when such incidents occur we work closely with families and safeguarding to investigate and learn lessons to reduce the risk of reoccurrence and provide reassurance.
I would like to acknowledge that whereby there have been some issues at Middleton Manor the newly appointed leadership team are working closely with the Local Authority and Safeguarding team to make and sustain improvements, and I am pleased to say that we are now seeing the impact of this work. I understand and take on board your concerns and I am sorry for any distress that may have been caused.

The care my mother receives is very good. The carers are generally very committed and respectful. The management has changed a number of times since my mother has been resident with some ups and downs during that time. Currently, I would say that in our family's experience, this is the best period to
date.

I was very happy with the original management team but on my recent visit saw that the new team have made many improvements. The level of cleanliness has definitely gone up to a very high level - both in the communal areas and in my mother's room. All of the staff are still just the most amazing bunch
of people - upbeat and friendly, considerate and caring. It is tremendously reassuring knowing that mum is in a safe secure caring environment which is now being managed by a strong senior team who have upped general standards, and hopefully all of the staff are also now enjoying an improved workingenvironment. Their efforts are greatly appreciated by all my family.
