The care has been exceptional since my mam went onto palliative care. Nothing is too much. They have talked us through every process with a lot of patience and care and the care mam has recieved has never been too much. They have also looked after the family making sure we are comfortable in Moms room
as shes reaching end of life.

Sam is part of the domestic staff but she goes above and beyond the call of her duties to bring love, care and attentive. She has known my mother for many years and always takes time to chat and cheer her up in any spare moment of her busy day. Mam's room is always spotless as well. So thank you Sam
and God bless you for your loving kindness.

My brother was a resident in Rosevilee Care Centre for 8-10 months in 2025, prior to him passing away at the end of the year. He built up an amazing rapport with his immediate team of carers. He loved them and they loved him. The level of care was excellent. They were friendly, approachable and informative.
My brother was very happy considering his situation and we were happy with his care. He was treated with dignity right up to the end.

If I had the choice again I would never send anyone I love to this place. Although some staff are really good, a lot of staff simply don't care, are not trained properly, and can't speak English in a way some elderly people can understand. There are also not enough staff, my poor mum with bowel cancer
regularly has to wait ages for the toilet. Food is disgusting and on top of what we pay we have to take food in. The list is endless - not enough space!
Reply from mark mounter, operation manager at Roseville Care CentreThank you for sharing your comments. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not reflect the standards and values we aim to uphold, and we appreciate you taking the time to provide your perspective.
We are pleased to hear that you found some members of our team to be caring and supportive. Our staff work hard in challenging circumstances, and we continue to invest in training, staffing, and communication to meet the diverse needs of our residents. We recognise that caring for individuals with complex medical conditions can present difficulties, and we do our best to manage these while maintaining dignity and respect at all times. We would like to reassure you that the home has an open-door policy, and the management team encourages the raising of any concerns at the time so they can be addressed promptly. We are sorry that you were unable to do this during your experience.
Your feedback has been noted and will be considered as part of our ongoing reviews of services.

The care my mother receives is very good. The carers are generally very committed and respectful. The management has changed a number of times since my mother has been resident with some ups and downs during that time. Currently, I would say that in our family's experience, this is the best period to
date.

Issues began with a high turnover of regular staff. Sometimes staff talking among themselves whilst jobs need to be done.
Food doesn't really meet mams needs, she has a bland diet, but for the money she is paying for the good is appalling, most times its cold and repetitive. Some of the carers give
mam her drink but they give it too fast, so it spills down her chin sometimes the bed us half down when feeding. When mam falls they don't get picked up straight away, sometimes they say she slipped when she fell.
Those of the staff are friendly and happy to see you.
Reply from Julie Armstrong, Home Manager at Roseville Care CentreThank you for shearing your feedback. We truly sorry to hear that your experience with our care home has not met with your expectations. Providing compassionate, high- quality care is something we take seriously, and its clear we fell short in your case. We'd appreciate the opportunity to learn more about what happened so we can address it directly and ensure it doesn't happen again. Your experience matter to us and we're committed to doing better.

While most of the carers are 'caring and professional' in their daily duties, some are not and seem to show no interest in the personal needs of residents.
Management are less than adequate when approached with issued and only offer a verbal apology with no real results in action. Do they have "quality"
polices in place?

My mum has been living at Roseville for almost two years. In this time, she has been looked after by the home carers with dignity, care and respect. My wife and I live in Calgary Canada, and we try to visit the UK as regularly as possible. The support provided by your staff gives us the comfort knowing
that she is safe and cared for. Mum has always been an active member of the community and was very outgoing. The staff, in particular the activity coordinator, at Roseville are absolutely awesome. She has a great relationship with her and we can see the mutual respect both ways. We are very fortunate to have weekly video calls where we and our kids (her grandkids) can catch up with events at Roseville. In addition to this we also have access to the photos shared on your social media page. Overall we are very pleased with the level of service and the positive atmosphere at the care home.
Reply from Kevin Robinson-Husband, Group Operations Manager at Roseville Care CentreThank you for sharing these comments, it is great to see that you have that regular contact with your mum and lovely to see how the staff team support your mum to maintain the social skills. We would like to thank every staff member on ground floor who supported Mam during her stay at Roseville. Times were challenging but staff never faltered and respected Mam's wishes right through to the end. Mam was treated with dignity and respect at all times and all staff tried their very best to
provide the best support they could which at times wasn't easy. The support for our families was outstanding. RIP Mam.

My wife has been in Roseville Care Centre since October 2021. During this time, she has had first-class care, formerly in dementia care and now in the 24-hour nursing wing. It is a home-from-home. My beloved mum came into the care at Roseville in July 2023 and the holistic care she has received has been completely outstanding. The staff are excellent at their job, which they evidently take extremely seriously to provide the utmost level of care- they treat residents with dignity, understanding,
patience, and knowledge and from what I have personally seen they genuinely care, having gone above and beyond to make my mum’s transition into nursing care as smooth as can be. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Roseville - we, as a family, truly appreciate the difference you have made.

The care at Roseville Care Home, Ingleby Barwick, is first class. The management and staff are warm, friendly and professional. The cleanliness of the home is exemplary.
My father went into the home for respite care for three weeks having been unwell and feeling very down. The improvement in his health

I have no hesitation in highly recommending Roseville.

My dad has been a resident at Roseville for 2 years, although we had some teething problems at first (to be expected) his care from the cooks up to the management is very good. Any problems are solved if possible and the management, carers, and nurses are fully approachable and help in any way they
can. Recently I had help from a senior nurse to tell my dad of a family death. She was fantastic.

My mam was fast-tracked into Roseville in May 2021 during Covid - from the first phone call from Roseville, the staff provided peace of mind that my mam was in good hands. The care provided by the nursing ward team has been professional and compassionate throughout my mam's two-and-a-half-year stay.

I can't recommend Roseville Care Centre enough. Twice they have built my nana up from an unhealthy place. She had a fall and within a short time they got her back to her normal self. They are professional, considerate and they truly care. She loves the activities, such as singing and crafts, and all
of the interaction between everyone. I know she's in the best place now and I would recommend it to anyone. I'm so grateful for all of the care and support from all of the staff at Roseville Care Centre.

Current Review Score: 8.6 (8.619)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.619) out of 10 for Roseville Care Centre is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.3 out of 5 from 14 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.310 for Roseville Care Centre is calculated as follows: ( (106 Excellents x 5) + (27 Goods x 4) + (22 Satisfactorys x 3) + (7 Poors x 2) + (6 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 168 Ratings = 4.31
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.309 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Roseville Care Centre is based on 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 = 3.775
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 103 registered maximum number of service users is 20.6. 11 Positive Reviews ÷ 20.6 = 0.534
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
