My mother moved to the home because of medical issues related to vascular dementia, it was a very challenging time for all family members. Roseville provided a reassuringly high level of care via dedicated staff who were well trained in both elderly care and in particular dementia care. All the staff
were friendly and welcoming to all visitors. My mother's room was comfortable and homely. Sadly my mother's health gradually deteriorated because of the dementia, but the staff explored every avenue to ensure she was comfortable. I would like to express our thanks to all the wonderful staff. Roseville is an excellent Care Home.

Excellent care given to my sister on the dementia ward. When she was on the nursing ward the care and dignity she was shown was exceptional. I wish to express my heartfelt thanks to all the staff

Although my mother was only with Roseville for 9 months, her care was outstanding. The staff always went above and beyond their roles. I always felt that they took a personal interest and care in my mother. I could never thank them enough, right up until Mum passed away. Even the Manager took great
interest in her. I feel lucky that I chose this care home for Mum.

My mum spent the last ten months of her life on the nursing unit at Roseville. Mum received the very best of care from every member of staff who engaged with her, and she was treated at all times with dignity and understanding.
I cannot fault any aspect of Roseville, it was always clean, friendly
and extremely welcoming, and when mum called it her home a couple of months before she passed away my sister and I knew we had made a good choice.

Staff at all times showed a truly personal, respectful and loving approach to ensure my partner received the best quality of care. From nurses and carers to activity coordinators and cleaners every member of staff went above and beyond to ensure her quality of life was enhanced. I truly appreciated
the help and support given to my partner and myself over the past 18 months.

My mum was nearly 98 years old when she moved into Roseville in May 2017. Although unhappy to leave her home, she always said that the staff were very good and that they looked after her very well. The staff supported her to remain as independent as possible and always treated her with respect. Laughter
was a major factor in maintaining Mum's spirits.
When Mum had a fall, the staff provided excellent care at the time and when she was subsequently admitted to hospital a member of staff accompanied her until I could be there and some also visited her while she was an inpatient. She returned to Roseville on a palliative care basis and was given the very best of kind and gentle care during the last days of her life.
No residential home is perfect but the managers and staff at Roseville do their very best to make life as happy and comfortable as possible for their residents. Their care for my mum at the end of her very long and happy life was the best that anyone could hope for.

I have been visiting Roseville from February 2017 until my mam passed away recently.
From our initial visit to her last days, we couldn't have been treated with more respect.
From the unit manager who was extremely helpful and always kept us to date with things; the carers who were always willing
to help, the kitchen staff, cleaners, and all staff have been kind, very courteous, very helpful, always respectful and compassionate.
The care mam received was exceptional and all the staff were brilliant with her. Would definitely recommend Roseville to anyone.
A huge thank you to all the staff from all the family.

Roseville Care Home is an outstanding care home for the simple and overriding reason - the staff and management genuinely care about the health and welfare of their residents. My mother was in Roseville Care home for four and a half years up until her death on 1st August 2018 aged 88. During that time
she was cared for in a way I could only wish for. I have bad experiences of other care homes with other elderly relatives and none have come close to matching the standards of Roseville. I recommend this provider to anyone who has family members or friends in need of good care.

We have been visiting this care home for over two years, nearly every day and cannot recommend this place highly enough. The staff are all lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them. We have peace of mind that my mother-in-law is well looked after. All the staff at all levels are brilliant! And
very professional.

My mum has been in Roseville since December 2017. She is happy and safe and thinks the food is excellent. I have noticed that my mum is reluctant to get involved in some of the activities but I think she thinks that some are a bit monotonous - and boring. She likes to be quite active and enjoys light
exercise. The staff are friendly and mum thinks they are great.

Current Review Score: 8.6 (8.619)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.619) out of 10 for Roseville Care Centre is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.3 out of 5 from 14 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.310 for Roseville Care Centre is calculated as follows: ( (106 Excellents x 5) + (27 Goods x 4) + (22 Satisfactorys x 3) + (7 Poors x 2) + (6 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 168 Ratings = 4.31
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.309 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Roseville Care Centre is based on 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 = 3.775
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 103 registered maximum number of service users is 20.6. 11 Positive Reviews ÷ 20.6 = 0.534
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
