The care all staff showed to both my mum and dad was amazing. After mum passed, dad needed a lot of reassurance, they were so patient and kind.

My husband had a bad experience in a different care home and refused to go into respite again. When we were offered West Lodge he was more than happy to go. He said it was like a 5-star hotel and the staff, food were all fantastic, and he wants to go again.

My parents have received exceptional care at West Lodge. The food is excellent, the home is always clean, and well maintained, and the staff are consistently kind, attentive and professional. Most importantly my parents have been treated with genuine dignity and respect at all times. It has given our family real peace of mind, and we are extremely grateful for the care provided. A big should out to Abby!

Well yet another care home that is worse than disappointing! How come care homes don't show compassion in any way. My poor mam has dementia, which is bad enough, I go to visit my mam and she is covered in bruises all over her already frail body! And management don't like it when i challenge them about these bruises.All accidents are unwitnessed, I may as well have let my mam loose on the streets than get them to so called take care of my mam. The managers treat the staff with utter disrespect too and your lucky if they last 6 months before another manager comes along to promise to sort the place out, yet it doesn't happen.Recently under yet another embargo, well doesn't that tell you something? They withhold medical charts, care notes and body maps from someone who legally has power of attorney, that would tell me that they clearly have something to hide after already not giving my mam the anti seizure medication she needs daily.Units are filthy, residents left unwashed.AVOID Middleton Manor

I was very happy with the original management team but on my recent visit saw that the new team have made many improvements. The level of cleanliness has definitely gone up to a very high level - both in the communal areas and in my mother's room. All of the staff are still just the most amazing bunch of people - upbeat and friendly, considerate and caring. It is tremendously reassuring knowing that mum is in a safe secure caring environment which is now being managed by a strong senior team who have upped general standards, and hopefully all of the staff are also now enjoying an improved workingenvironment. Their efforts are greatly appreciated by all my family.

My wife was keeping her mum at this care home in hope it would sort through it's major issues but after months of being patient it was getting much worse. Making sure that the correct people are looking after our most vulnerable people should be priority. Anyone who is reading this will know putting your nearest and dearest into care is one of the hardest decisions to make and when you feel your unable to come home and be happy that the care is to an acceptable level then something is very wrong. But my advice would be to find another care home because the difference has been outstanding.

My mother spent her final months of her life at Middleton Manor (17 months). During her last days the home provided mam with the utmost care and welcomed and facilitated our family whilst visiting. The staff were no less than amazing. The new management have improved the general running and functioning of the facility no end and the current team are the most caring set of people we as a family could ever of wished for.

Mum is in a new home and it's so nice to see her laughing again.

My sisters last few months in this care home and the things we have witnessed has been utterly shocking.

We did not select this home, she was sent there by the hospital, but we think she was very lucky. There were sufficient staff with sufficient time to care for the residents. The staff were also very kind to me, especially towards the end.

My mam has been a resident of Auguste just over a year now, this is her 3rd care home! Due to no fault of her own. We moved our mam due to lack of care all we want is for our mam cared for and how we would look after her, if that's possible! We have addressed any issues we have had and they have all been addressed promptly. I must add that one of the staff at Auguste is amazing! I just wish all care homes had staff like her! She is our go-to person should we need anything with regards to my mam, and this carer will tell us how it exactly is! No pussyfooting around which we'd rather it was that way. The care home is clean and tidy and my mam's bedroom is always clean. The majority of the staff are accommodating and will speak upon arrival and will answer any questions asked. I believe my mam deserves to be in a care home that will do everything it can to help her with her illness and allow her to be comfortable there as if she was in her own home and Auguste does that.

My husband spent his final two weeks at this care facility and his care was exceptional. A member of staff even returned when off duty to offer comfort and support.

My grandad was admitted to this nursing home in November, visited Xmas day, no activities, staff on their personal phones (personal phone cases visible - not pcs devices!) no music, no Xmas atmosphere, no staff spending time with residents, residents struggling to eat their Xmas chocolates. I had to tell staff that people were hanging out of their beds. Role onto January, an altercation between my grandad and another resident, ended up with my grandfather being hit and falling to the ground breaking his hip, unfortunately passed away days later, had staff intervened when this altercation began our loved one would still be here. Now we are planning his funeral. That being said, the clinical lead is supportive, caring and has a passion to the care sector. Shame about the rest of the management team.

The staff appeared well versed and knowledgeable in the specialism that Auguste has, and we both came away relieved and happy in the knowledge Mam was in excellent, caring hands.

My experience visiting my friend (long-term friend) has been very positive, very welcoming by office and care staff. They are friendly and chatty. My friend says how nice and kind they are to her too.

My mother came to Auguste Communities Care Centre on 21/9/23, therefore, has only been in for six days. She has settled very well. All the staff are helpful, pleasant and reassuring to Mum and family. Her room has a lovely view to the front so she can see people coming and going. The gardens are pretty and peaceful.

The nursing home's care for my husband, who battled dementia and ultimately passed, was truly exceptional. The staff's kindness and support created a compassionate environment that eased his journey. Their expertise in handling dementia-related challenges and their inclusion of our family in decision-making were invaluable. I'm deeply grateful for the comfort and care they provided during this difficult time.

We visited an elderly friend with whom we have been friends for over 40 years. She was quite poorly so wasn't able to communicate with us. Absolutely all the staff we were involved with - reception, gardener, cleaner, and carer were so supportive, helpful and efficient. Well done team Auguste Communities Care Centre - we know they our friend is in good caring hands.
