Our family member has only been with you for a few days, after months of being in and out of hospitals and rehabilitation care homes since January 22nd. We can honestly say this is the best place ever.
It's clean. You truly care. You take the time to get to know the person, not just the patient. Even
when his needs are complex and sometimes unclear, you still try and that effort means everything.
After six long months of sleepless nights, we finally feel like we can rest easy knowing he is being treated with the dignity and respect he deserves.
Your care has not only helped my grandad, it has helped us too by restoring our faith in humanity after some heartbreaking experiences.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

I just wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks and congratulations to all the staff at Beaumont House, Hucknall, for the absolutely fantastic VE Day celebration you organised. My dad, who lives with advanced vascular dementia and Alzheimer's, thoroughly enjoyed himself-something that means more to us than
words can express.

It was incredibly heartwarming to see so many residents engaged, smiling, and being so wonderfully stimulated throughout the day. The attention, care, and love shown by every member of staff was truly exceptional. Your team went above and beyond to make every resident feel seen and valued, and it didn't go unnoticed.

Thank you for creating such a joyful and meaningful experience for everyone-especially those like my dad, for whom these moments of connection are so precious. Your compassion and dedication shine through in everything you do.

With deepest gratitude

Reply from Zoe Elliott, Registered Manager at Beaumont HouseThank you for your great review. The activities team worked very hard to organise the celebration. I will share your review with the team which I am sure will be most appreciated. Thank you.

Dad has been here for nearly 4 weeks. He's been very pleased with the care he's received from all the staff. They are now all used to his profound deafness and use the whiteboard. His only complaint is about the food. He's always eaten spicy African food. (Here, the food is too bland for him.) I'm not
aware of any other complaints.

Very impressed by everything, the staff, nurses, food, equipment, and cleanliness. My dad arrived looking like he had a few days to live, and a month later, he looks like he is going to make his 98th birthday in October.
Please, can I reserve a place for myself?
Could do with an ice machine for
any gin & tonics.

A beautiful setting with lovely caring staff. Mum is comfortable, settled and taken great care of here. All mums needs are met and staff are patient and friendly. The establishment is run to a high standard and staff all work very hard. Only negative is waiting to gain access or leave at weekends/evening
but I understand it is a security measure and staff are extremely busy.

The care home is very clean and modern with excellent facilities and a good range of activities for residents to get involved in. On occasion we have found there is a wait when the call buzzer is pressed, however, this is a reflection of how busy the home is.

The care that my dad received at Beaumont House was outstanding, the dignity respect and compassion and all the carers and staff did a fantastic job looking after dad. We felt comfortable whenever we left him knowing he was in safe hands. After visiting for the first time we knew it was the right place
for our dad to be. We would highly recommend this wonderful place. Thank you to each and everyone of you.

Three points I would like to make:
1 - Sometimes I find he needs to be changed more often as I don't think he asks for the toilet and I know he spills a lot of food on his clothes.
2 - He is not one for joining in activities. I hope staff try to get him to communicate more.
3 - At weekends, there
is no one to let you in and out. You have to wait for care staff to let you in. I know they must be busy.

Dad was warmly welcomed to Beaumont House, he is well cared for, warm, well fed and above all safe.
We are able to visit at our convenience and are always welcomed by the admin and carers.
Communication from the carers to the family is good.
Plenty of activities for the residents cheerfully led by
the team.
The home and rooms are very clean, the cleaning staff work hard to maintain a lovely environment.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.793)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.793) out of 10 for Beaumont House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 55 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 55 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.793 for Beaumont House is calculated as follows: ( (520 Excellents x 5) + (111 Goods x 4) + (8 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 641 Ratings = 4.793
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Beaumont House is based on 55 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 79 registered maximum number of service users is 15.8, which has been reached with 55 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
