Overall Experience

After mum broke her hip she ended up at Brook Lodge. From the first moment we met the team they all were excellent. Mum had some trouble settling in but this was dealt with kindly by the staff. She is now happy and content. Dad is able to visit frequently and as a family we can be assured that Mum is

in the best place. I can't praise the professionalism and kindness of the staff enough.

Overall Experience

My dad was placed in Brooke Lodge for respite recovery. They have helped dad settle in very quickly. Always notified of any new information regarding my dad. Majority of staff are friendly and helpful. Would love dad to stay here long term if possible.

Overall Experience

My stepdad went to Brook Lodge for a dementia assessment for a total of 12 weeks. The kindness that they showed him and how they looked after him went above and beyond. The support they gave to my mum and myself was so helpful we cannot thank the team enough.
Day one was tough but we slowly got to

grips with everything and they were hugely patient. He settled in well and took part in activities that are regularly laid on. He is also a bit fussy with his food but he ate very well and enjoyed his food.
They have extensive knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's and treat residents with dignity and respect. This is a special skill as I have (especially in hospitals) witnessed carers who get annoyed at the repetitive nature of the illness. No one is made to feel silly and they are just so patient with what is a very stressful and difficult job. We are so grateful.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brook Lodge and when respite is needed will definitely be back.

Brook Lodge Lotus unit has a family atmosphere "it's a home for the residents, not an institution"
This is reflected by the individual care provided to my mother. Contact with the unit manager has always been positive, going above and beyond to act in my mothers best interest, observing mums likes

and dislikes. My mother's safety and happiness are paramount and I am grateful that this is provided.

My stepdad is brilliantly cared for at Brook Lodge: he is happy, content, healthier than he has been for a very long time, and he is very fond of the staff who build personal relationships with him. How good Brook Lodge is was born out again recently when my stepdad had his 80th birthday. The staff

arranged a safe and secure room for us to celebrate his special day. This room was beautifully decorated with banners and balloons, there was a lovely afternoon tea and a birthday cake baked! It was wonderful. All staff had spent so much time, alongside regular duties, preparing and then hosting us with the additional safety requirements of the present time. We were overwhelmed, and so was he! We cannot thank Brook Lodge enough for everything they continually do to provide above and beyond care.

I am very impressed with the care and compassion shown to my friend. He has improved more in the last few weeks than previous home. It's been a hard struggle going through this emotional roller coaster of a journey with my dad, seeing him slowly disappear with this awful illness, but I can't recommend this place enough apart wow amazing!! They are outstandingly professional and so thoughtful and caring its like they are caring for

their own family members you can feel the love. They have made such a difficult ,sad time a little easier with regular contact keeping us up to date on how dad is doing also making sure dads getting all treatment and assessments docs etc top of their list whilst still keeping his dignity in the process absolutely brilliant... it's just made it a bit more easier on the family dealing with the decision the doctors made!! knowing he is in very safe hands receiving the best care we could possibly wish for !! The staff work hard. Some give that extra bit of dignity as well. The staff are always welcoming and the manager informs as well. Mum loves the activities that are provided on top of the care. I was mums part-time carer and home support but not as well myself and mum worsened. I am happy my mum is in

Brook Lodge it's nearby where I live. The laundry mum says gets confused and she worried it goes missing but it's labelled. Mum enjoys the care home and they have helped mum feel less anxious and I am 100% happy.

All the staff we have encountered have been genuinely caring. Mum has improved less anxious due to the excellent quality of care. Mum is able to walk a few steps with a frame, which she wasn't able to. The activities within the home and made friends. Mum has allergies and the staff have gone out of

their way to ensure she has a good choice of food.

Overall Experience

I can not explain how amazing Brook Lodge has been over the last month. My grandad is a new resident here and they have done their absolute utmost to help him settle in in every way possible. It's never easy having a family member have to go into a residential home but I would 110% recommend this home

to anyone in the same situation. The Operational Lead Lady has been such an amazing support to us, keeping in contact and letting us know things every step of the way. The place is beautiful and the staff are amazing thank you.

Overall Experience

I am delighted with the care that Brook Lodge gives my stepfather-in-law. His health and well being have improved dramatically over the year he has been a resident. The staff are so friendly and he feels safe and cared for. Brook Lodge has long term highly experienced staff who develop lovely stable,

consistent relationships, and this has been particularly helpful for my shy,
elderly stepfather-in-law. He is really happy and content, and more independent and interested in things he used to do before he became unwell. I never thought he would read again, which he did avidly all his life, but this week he actually showed us a 500-page crime novel he is reading! Amazing! Thank you, Brook Lodge! He talks about the quizzes he enjoys, the books he reads, and the activities he takes part in. Excellent all round. Thank you to the staff who are ALL so hard-working, dedicated, helpful and friendly to residents and family members alike.

The staff are always friendly and helpful at Brook Lodge, my aunt is happy there and they cater for her needs which is paramount. The staff always let me know if there is a problem or if my aunt requires anything. During the pandemic the staff were extremely busy but always made time for me on the phone,

they also had the connect set up for video chatting which was great.

Overall Experience

My mother moved into Brook Lodge in December 2020 so she has been there for 3 months. She has settled in very quickly and is enjoying the various activities. She also likes the food. The staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. Although we haven’t been able to visit due to the Covid 19 pandemic,

her enthusiasm during phone conversations and video calls says a lot.

Overall Experience

Nothing too much trouble for the staff they look after the residents with impeccable care and attention. The residents are always clean and tidy, they are fed well and always seem to be relaxed.
I have never looked back since the day my mother moved into the Jasmine Unit I was a little worried because

I thought my mother would feel as though I had locked her away but she quickly made friends and gets a lot of chance to help out where possible. Thank you Jasmine Unit keep up the good work.
