Byng House Care Home offers residential and nursing care for a variety of different needs including dementia, mental health conditions, old age, physical disabilities and sensory impairments. The home is open to adults of all ages.

Conveniently located on the Southport promenade, Byng House offers easy access for relatives or loved ones visiting by car or public transport. The home's central location also offers lots of opportunities for residents to get out and enjoy the sea air.

Inside the home, rooms are spacious and light, making the most of the lovely views. Residents can socialise in the large dining and living areas, or relax from the comfort of their own rooms, each with en suite facilities. There is also an outside area where residents can enjoy the fresh air if they would rather not venture outside or their health prevents them from doing so.

The home is run by a team of experienced care professionals who are committed to ensuring each residents' stay is as comfortable as possible, giving loved ones the reassurance that they are safe and living each day as happily as possible. The support & care that my brother received from all the staff at Byng House was outstanding. It was evident that the excellent management of Byng House reflected is all departments. All members of staff were cheerful, supportive & relaxed in their approach to my brother's care.

I would like to say thank you for all the care and support and friendship I received during my 6 week stay at Byng House. From arriving feeling very weak and greatly under weight to when I was discharged, feeling really well and having regained a substancial amount of weight and energy. Thanks to all
the good food each day. I would like to express my deepest thank you to all the staff who helped and cared for me during my stay.

My father was discharged from hospital to Byng House for palliative care after a stroke and with an advanced cancer. The care he received was exceptional. From the moment he arrived he was valued as a person. Throughout his two month stay he was comfortable and lived in a lovely room, where his family
spent time with him, talking and listening to music. Each evening when we left, we were sure Dad would be well cared for until we returned.
For two months Dad actually got better and enjoyed talking to staff, having meals in his room and the restaurant, and going to a concert. Then the cancer symptoms worsened and he was re-admitted to hospital. But the following day he returned to Byng House where he was looked after with great skill, and where he passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family a few days later. We will always be grateful to Byng House for providing truly transformational healthcare for Dad, enabling him to be happy despite an enormously challenging illness.

Mum was transferred from the hospital to Byng House for palliative care after a major stroke. As a nurse myself, I have never come across anywhere like Byng House. So many exceptional human beings working together in one place is so rare, including domestics, kitchen staff, laundry staff, admin staff,
nursing staff and carers. Mum was reviewed by a palliative care nurse so that her needs could be met swiftly and appropriately. Mum was kept free of pain and comfortable. Care was delivered with dignity and compassion. It was comforting to know mum had the best care, in a peaceful environment. A bed was put next to my mum's so that I could be there at night. This enabled us to be there when she passed away peacefully at 1.50 am. We have 'peace of mind' knowing Mum was in the right place, at the right time, with the right people. We will always be eternally grateful to the Home Manager and her exceptional team, who were comparable to angels when we needed them the most.

I can not explain the complete satisfaction I have experienced with the care and dedication that every member of staff at Byng House has given to my mum. I will be forever grateful for the care that they gave her, allowing me to go home knowing that she would be comfortable and well looked after. The

My mother was in Byng House following discharge from the hospital. From first, going to view the place to when my mother went in, you could tell she was going to be cared for well. You hear so many stories about homes but Byng House, from my experience, is the exception to the rule, all the staff were
great from the start and treated my mother with the care, compassion and dignity she deserved. The room was clean, and modern, nothing was too much trouble, food good. They even took time to ask how I was doing, and would happily make time for a chat or answer any of my questions. Whilst not able to partake due to her condition, there is a nice dining room and also organised activities. If ever a loved one has to go into a home then this is where I would want them to go.

The care and compassion, the privacy and dignity shown to my mother and myself at a time of life when it is most needed reflects on the standards of Byng House and all the staff.
I cannot express enough praise for this establishment.

My father ( Des ) was discharged from hospital and spent his last couple of weeks at Byng House. As a family we always thought we would keep my dad at home but in his final days his nursing needs were too great . All the staff I met were kind and compassionate . They treated my dad with respect and
made time to keep us updated . We could visit at any time and were always made very welcome . The care was second to none. My dad's passing was dignified and I felt really supported at a very difficult time . My dad was treated as an individual and although he was only there a short time I felt staff really got to know him . I knew that my dad was well cared for. My dad unfortunately couldn't take part in any of the activities or therapy as he was too poorly but I did observe lots of interactions with staff and residents. I can not thank Byng house enough. You only get one chance to make a death a positive experience and they did this perfectly . Amazing home and amazing staff .

The quality of care and nursing support at Byng House was (is) outstanding. I cannot find fault in anything at this care facility. The staff are incredibly attentive, well-trained and provide a full care package to all the residents. The management and admin team run the home with precision functionality.
Mention must also be made of the support staff, cleaners, cooks and the ladies in the washing area providing excellent support to the running of this facility. My wife passed many weeks here, entering Byng House a very sick and frail person.
She leaves with very much improved health, ready to face the challenges ahead.
My thanks to all the team at Byng House, you are all amazing and making a real difference for people that are lucky enough to spend time with you.

My husband is waiting for his belongings to be delivered as promised. It is taking some time for this to happen - over two weeks now.
My husband was satisfied to be at Byng House. He found the staff to be available when needed. Loved having a television in his room and the view of the promenade from
his bedroom was enjoyable for him.

Every member of staff in Byng House was wonderful with my husband, he had gold star care from them all the weeks he was there, his comforts and health were well looked after. Wonderful location on the promenade, enclosed garden with lots of birds. Rooms well decorated and comfortable. Staff well trained and very friendly and caring. It is more like a wonderful family than a nursing home. Activities organiser is exceptionally good and office staff are very friendly.

My brother has only been in Byng House for just over two weeks, I cannot thank you enough for the care you are giving him. Although my brother is on end-of-life. I have seen an improvement in him, he looks so clean and comfy. When he was in hospital, I kept asking them to shower and shave him, he never
got that in the weeks he was in there. When I saw my brother for the first time, I thought I had walked into the wrong room, he was shaven and was lovely and clean, I can't thank you and your caring staff enough for caring for my brother. I know when the time comes he would not have had any pain and will go peacefully.

From the first day our mother arrived to stay at Byng House Care Home, she was given the utmost care and attention from all the team. She was very happy, the whole team genuinely cared for her and she felt very loved. As a family, we can't sing the praises of Byng House enough. They were truly dedicated
to giving outstanding care in beautiful surroundings. In our mum's final days, the compassion shown to us was nothing short of outstanding, nothing was too much trouble for them. They far exceeded out expectations on every level.

My mother had a stroke and after nine weeks in hospital went to Byng House Care Home. From day one, the care, compassion and kindness were wonderful. All the staff were so friendly while remaining professional. I could not fault anything about Byng House.
Sadly, Mum passed away recently. Byng House
staff made it easier for my family to deal with. They could not do enough for us.

My dad was taken into Byng House on an end-of-life pathway placement from the hospital. As someone who has worked in adult health care for many years, I was very anxious about entrusting my precious dad to someone else’s care; I need not have worried! The staff have been amazing! Some staff members
have been phenomenal in the care they have shown my dad. The matron is one of the loveliest down-to-earth ladies I have ever met. They helped get my dad up and outside so he could enjoy a final day in the sun, nothing we asked was too much. All the staff in this building care; they have made my dad's final days worth living, and that is truly priceless. Not only did they care for my dad, but us as a family too, offering us food and drinks and emotional support. I could not rate the prices as my dad was a fully funded patient. Thank you all so much.
