The staff are extremely helpful, and the home has a lovely ambience. The residents all seem happy and well cared for. The rooms are a bit tired and could do with a coat of paint. Overall very good. Also front entrance has had cigarette packets on the flour for a good few days

Review of Fountains Court from A B (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 8 August 2026 Submitted via Website

One of my relatives currently lives here. They are treated with immense kindness and care. The staff always have their best wishes and dignity at heart. When I visit, I am treated with the same kindness and respect from all of the staff and colleagues. The environment is warm and welcoming. Even when my relative is taking part in activities, there is always an invite extended towards the families of those within the care home. There is a different type of activity for everyone even those with limited mobility. The residents are in the heart of each member of staff and colleagues. There is no one left out or alone. Every member of staff knows the residents families, which makes it easier to interact and communicate with the home.

Our mother who has Parkinson's disease has lived at Midfield Lodge for 15 months, and we are very grateful for the high standard of care she receives. All of the staff ( no matter their role ) are very kind, caring and attentive, always treating her with the utmost dignity and respect. Where any issues have arisen, as nowhere is perfect, the administrator and the management team have been highly approachable in getting them resolved. In addition, the management team provide regular relative meetings plus support group sessions for family which are informative and invaluable for all who attend. We appreciate that we can visit at any time, which adds to the warm, welcoming environment. It is comforting knowing she is in such safe and compassionate hands.

Review of Bon Accord Care Home from Maxine L (Daughter of Resident) published on 4 August 2026 Submitted via Website

My mother has dementia which makes her care difficult as she does not understand and is not always compliant , in June she became very unwell to the point the family thought it was end of life , through out that very stressful time we were all treated with the utmost respect, constantly informed of any changes and treated like we mattered !

I could not fault the care that my mother received throughout that dark time , for which I will always be grateful, my mother has made a full recovery and that is down to the care she received

I am very impressed with Midfield. The staff do their best to make a difficult situation the best it can be. There is an overall sense of calm and caring with the needs of residents met with compassion and understanding. The layout of the building is pleasant, clean and without any smells. I like being able to sit in the garden when the weather's good, nothing worse than being indoors on a summer day. When living alone it's a bonus to be able to mix and make friends with other residents. The staff are are very helpful and friendly and I feel safe living here rather than in the detached house, living on my own. The food is nicely cooked, like home cooking.

Review of North Court Care Home from Jon H (Son of Resident) published on 27 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My overall experience with North Court has been very positive. Staff are lovely, although sometimes I feel new staff aren't up to speed with residents needs and likes.
Food is good, although choice could be slightly better. I think the home will only get better as time passes, with more robust systems in place.

Important thing to say is, do I think my mum is looked after and safe, yes is the answer.

Review of Eastwood Court from Caroline E (Regular Volunteer) published on 20 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

I take my dog Skye into Eastwood Court once a fortnight. She is a therapet, so we visit any residents who like dogs. This service is organised by the activities team. I find the care home staff extremely friendly and organised, communication and flexibility with our visits is key, and works on both sides (mine & theirs). I am escorted round the home, as the safety of everyone is paramount. The best part of our visits is seeing the residents' positive reactions to Skye (all smiles & laughter)!

Reply from Zac Heller, Regional Manager at Eastwood Court

Thank you so much for bringing Skye to visit us! She has become such a highlight of the fortnight for so many people here. It is wonderful to see the smiles and laughter she brings out, and we really value how well organised and flexible you are with her visits. We're so glad you enjoy your time with us, and we look forward to seeing you and Skye again soon.
