The staff at Cherry Grove Care Home are always welcoming. They always give me an update on how my mum has been and to whether she has eaten well or had an off day but they always try to encourage her. I am always updated by the nurses if there is going to be a change in medication or if she has not been very well. They have a hairdresser that comes every Wednesday, my mum likes to have her hair done. It's nice to visit on this day to see all the residents with there hair done and they give you a smile when you walk in. The chefs that cook the meals are really nice. The menu is really good and there is a good choice of food for them all. The laundry is done of site. They have a activity person that comes everyday. Well done to all the team for there calm approach to a well run home.

Both my mother and father were residents at the home each between 2 and 3 years in residence. During this time I got to know the staff very well and what struck me was the genuine care and concern they showed towards each resident. Kindness and patience were evident everywhere. I toured several homes in the Newton Mearns area, many of which had all the bells and whistles, but none had the feeling of family and warmth that Westacres offered. The staff provided individualized care tailored to the needs of each resident and came up with creative approaches to put a smile on my dad's face during a difficult time in his life. There were daily activities and lots of encouragement to join in. The social aspect really helped my mum's wellbeing and the support of the staff and her friends at the home really helped her cope when my dad passed away. Knowing they were cared for so well in the home helped put my mind at rest as I live out of the country.

I spent a considerable amount of time at the home during many of my visits from abroad. My father and mother-in-law were both residents at Westacres for several years.

My lasting impression is of the warmth, compassion, and empathy shown by all members of staff. An example was when my father-in-law passed in the care home, the staff went to great lengths to not only look after my mother-in-law but also other family members. We witnessed countless acts of kindness including a young carer late at night, pulling out his guitar and soothing a distressed resident through music.

When my mother-in-law moved in, the social support available enhanced her quality of life despite her worsening condition. She loved to join in musical events and was known for her dancing. She got involved in everything from baking to art to gardening.

Moving into a care home is not something anyone wishes for but we couldn't have asked for better care or a more homely, supportive environment than Westacres.

Caring and attentive staff that are always on hand. My wife has severe dementia but I feel that my wife is in good hands and is being looked after well in a peaceful environment

I would like recognise the brilliant manager Sophy and her extraordinary team for the care they have shown my father (who is in care at Abbey Court Care Home) and the compassion they have shown towards me and my family. They have all been incredible. Attentive towards my father, which is so reassuring. My father loves the staff and is very well looked after. He eats well. They team also keep me well informed. We recently attended the Abbey Court Care Home fete. It was well organised with stalls and a brass band. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and it was great to see them, including Sophie, get well involved. Well done all!! Thank you Sophy and team.

All staff do everything in their power to ensure that residents are completely cared for, challenged and live as active a life as they are able. Many staff even use their own spare time to enhance the environment for residents. It is like residents are living with family.

Mum can move freely around to different lounges and dining room as all on one level, she had difficulty doing this at home. Big thanks to all staff.

My father in law has been in Fountains Court for 4 months and is being well cared for. The facilities and cleanliness are very good. There are lovely outdoor seating areas and quiet lounges for visiting. The staff are very friendly and patient and very engaged with all the residents. My wife and I would recommend this care home.

We are very grateful to the entire team for their dedication and hard work. We would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and supportive place for their loved one.

All the staff are kind and friendly with us and keep me informed on my dad's progress as his speech and understanding is now poor. I can fully recommend Fountains Court and have no major issues with the care they provide. I hope my father remains happy there in the years to come.

The home has a hair salon, American diner, cinema and games room. It is always very clean, as are the residents. We would highly recommend if you were thinking about a nursing home.

Because we live a 3 hour drive away from our friend in the care home, it was important that she was receiving good care and we could not have been more assured of the wonderful care she received. The staff were all conscientious and diligent in their care all the time with love and compassion. Right up to the end of our friends life, they treated her with dignity but also with encouragement and positivity. We are so glad that we found this care home.

As a friend of one of the residents, I just wanted to say how impressed we have been with the care and kindness shown by everyone at the home. The staff are always warm, welcoming, and genuinely go above and beyond to make residents feel safe, comfortable, and valued. It's clear that they truly care about the people they look after, and the attention to detail is outstanding. A special mention must go to Lucy, the care home manager, whose professionalism, compassion, and dedication really set the tone for the whole team. She leads by example and has created such a positive and caring environment. It's incredibly reassuring to know our friend is in such capable and compassionate hands. We absolutely love this care home. Our Nan came here and we were very nervous about how she would react as she is very particular and stubborn ! However she settled in well and loves the way the home is presented. Not too Shabby for our nan ! the food is well prepared and balanced and the staff are wonderful and very patient and do treat the residents well. We love the courtyard too !
