Cypress Court is a privately owned care home offering a wide range of care including residential, nursing, respite, palliative and intermediate care.

There is a comfortable lounge where residents can relax, enjoying both socialisation and quiet time alike. The menu will be nutritional and varied, and all food can be enjoyed in the spacious dining area. Treats and snacks are also served throughout the day.

A garden is available for residents to enjoy some outside time, and there will be a range of activities for residents to engage with.

Always exceed our expectations with regard to the care of our mother. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, all are friendly and attentive to our mother's daily needs. She's happy and we are extremely happy. 10/10.

The staff at Cypress Court did an incredible job with my aunt, they provided the most wonderful care. The team at Cypress have such a nice caring, responsive and warm attitude, I could not recommend them more highly. With the manager at the helm, this place should be rated number one in the industry

All the staff were very kind and caring and helped in any and every way they could. It always felt a very safe environment to be in.
My contact with the home could not move from his bed to anywhere without a lot of help which the staff very generously gave but he is a very intelligent man who needs
stimulation. Most of the activities he couldn't get to.

This home is absolutely lovely. Mum passed away in 2020. She was able to pass with dignity and compassion; the staff cared for her with great empathy; I will always remember that.
The staff kept me well informed and I was able to see Mum. Mum's final journey was from Cypress Court, and it was lovely
to see all staff say goodbye, so thank you and keep up the good work.

The staff at this home are very caring. When asked to do something for my brother it is done with kindness and patience and efficiency. If we have any problems they have been talked through and sorted out immediately. Some of the carers in this home have gone above and beyond their duty of care and
feel more like friends to my brother. The handyman service at the home is excellent and nothing is too much trouble for them. Very helpful.

I have not been able to visit my mother due to the COVID-19 shielding policy but family and I have spoken to her via phone calls and mother is quite happy. The staff has handled the shielding policies very professionally. The use of Facebook is a good idea and helps us to see how mother, fellow residents,
and staff are coping at this difficult time.

We are extremely satisfied with the care that my husband has at Cypress Court. All of the staff are very kind and courteous and go out of their way to keep the residents happy. He thoroughly enjoys all of his meals and the extra little treats during the day. The staff is always jolly and cheerful and
the atmosphere in the home very relaxed. All the staff work extremely hard.

Staff are very caring and friendly and have provided and continue to provide excellent care for my father. They have taken the time to get to know him and understand his likes and dislikes well and he has settled down well. He particularly enjoys the social activities and is encouraged to join in as
much as possible which is lovely as he was on his own at home before.

After 12 months in another nursing home, it is like going from a 1 star to a 4 star. I am much more relaxed about my brother's welfare as are the rest of the family. I suppose no nursing home is 100%, but Cypress Court is far and away the best for my brother.

Overall we are happy with my father's care. He is kept clean, safe and the food is of a good standard. Whenever we visit, he is sat alone in silence in his room. We would like for someone to switch his TV or radio on each morning. Occasionally, we have to ask to have his hair cut. Otherwise, we are
happy with the standard of care provided.

Bethuel has worked at Cypress Court since 2008, and has worked his way up through roles to becoming Home Manager in 2018. With a passion for nursing and care, Bethuel has dedicated his working career to caring for the elderly, and loves to face the challenges his job brings him.


Why did you decide to join Four Seasons Health Care?
My passion is to care for elderly people. I particularly like to work for Four Seasons because it has a good documentation process for the residents. There are also good documents for completing the audits and it has different departments, all of which are very supportive.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I like my role because it is always challenging, and it has a range of goals that I need to achieve. I also like to care for people who are unable to look after themselves due to their ill health.


What are your favourite hobbies and pastimes?
I like watching football, my favourite team is Liverpool FC and I like listening to music.


Are there any highlights in your career you are particularly proud of?
Yes, I'm proud that the staff at Cypress Court worked as a team to turn the home around in relation to quality, meaning we could return to our normal ways of working within 4-5 months.


What do you feel is your biggest achievement outside of your career?
My biggest achievement outside of my career was to send my children to private schools in South Africa before they came to join me in the UK, so that they won’t struggle to communicate with other children in the UK.


What are your Qualifications?
I have a degree in General Nursing, Midwifery, Mental Health Nursing and Community Health Science and graduated in 1994. I started working in the care industry as a nurse in a care home for 4 years (2004-2008) before I joined Cypress Court in August 2008 working as a Nurse. Since then I worked as a the Clinical Lead for the home in 2014-2015, the Deputy Manager in 2016 and in 2018 I was promoted to be Home Manager for Cypress Court.


What top tips would you give someone when looking for the right care home?
I would advise the people to check the home’s most recent CQC Report, and ask for information such as routines, and the staffing levels for the home to familiarise themselves with how the home works.
