My grandad seems really happy and settled here. The staff are always friendly and accommodating.
He is well looked after and always has a smile on his face when we visit. The home is clean and well maintained and the food looks and smells lovely when we've been during meal times. The new makeover
of the garden is a great addition, especially for the summer months. I would highly recommend his home.

Every time I have been to the home to visit, I feel welcome. The staff are exceptionally kind and pleasant. I feel the residents are happy in the many activities they provide and it always smells inviting from the food and cleanliness. I really enjoyed sitting in the new garden with my husband and I
couldn't wish for him to be in a nicer place. Thank you to all the staff for all you do.

My wife has been resident at Church Manor since September. At first, she was very disturbed and confused to be away from home and family. However, thanks to the constant care and support of the staff, she has now settled down and she appears to be happy and enjoying her new life. It is a great relief
to see her smiling when I visit and to see the varied range of activities provided by the staff each day. The staff are patient, friendly and helpful, and I feel that my wife is in good caring hands.

I visited my father-in-law with my husband and children in August and I cannot commend the staff enough. They were very friendly, caring and professional and we felt very welcomed during our visit and seeing how kind and patient they were with my father-in-law was really heart-warming. Thank you so
much for all that you do with all the residents and especially making their stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. We feel very glad that my father-in-law is in good hands, being well looked after and that is very comforting.

What a wonderful experience to see my mum today looking so wonderful and happy. The staff are superb, I as an ex care assistant couldn’t ask for more. The home is clean, airy and extremely friendly, I wouldn’t mind living there myself! The staff are always available to talk to and are extremely professional.
The food is out of this world, that’s another reason why I want to live there! Out of ten I would give the home and staff 100%. Thank you everyone for taking care of my precious mum.

Church Manor is a wonderful care home. All the staff and management are always friendly, professional, hardworking and extremely caring. All residents, one of which is my Dad, are happy and well looked after. My Dad is a lot happier since moving to Church Manor in February 2023. He enjoys all the activities
and is very comfortable around all the staff. The staff also encourage family to visit and always keep us updated on any changes. Would recommend to anyone looking for a care home for their family.

I cannot begin to thank the staff at Church Manor Care Home for the wonderful care they gave to my mum during her recent stay. They are simply the best, no questions. I am just gutted that Mum decided to return home rather than stay on a permanent basis. Thank you so very much for everything - I really
do appreciate it and I, personally, will miss you all.

My mother was admitted for respite back in October 2022 and loved it so much decided to stay permanently.
All staff were excellent and went above and beyond to care for my mother.
Their entertainment, craft, baking were amazing also taking them out to afternoon teas and theatres were fantastic and
was talked about continually with great love.
Cannot express my gratitude enough (save me a bed) it’s one home I would recommend 100%. Thank you.

My father was a resident at this care home from March 22 till November 22. Whilst he was living at Church Manor, he was highly respected and treated like family; they looked after him exceptionally, and he really enjoyed his time with them. Unfortunately, his needs have become greater and have been
moved to emi care, and I am saddened that he had to leave this fantastic place. Would highly recommend.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.800)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.800) out of 10 for Church Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Church Manor is calculated as follows: ( (95 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 95 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Church Manor is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 31 registered maximum number of service users is 6.2, which has been reached with 8 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
