In April 2021 our friend suffered a number of falls in her home which resulted in a stay in hospital and it was decided by the medical professionals that it would be advisable for her to be transferred to a care home. Church Manor was suggested as being convenient and came well recommended. It was the best decision we could have made as prior to her admission she had been withdrawn and lonely.

In the period to date, she has recovered her confidence and has integrated very well into this small community. We are extremely grateful to the management and staff for the care and attention they have given her to date and we have no hesitation in recommending Church Manor to anyone looking for a care home.

My father lived at Church Manor Care Home for the last eighteen months of his life. These were difficult times because of the pandemic. The manager of the home speedily made a safe space for us to visit Dad indoors and made every effort to make our time special. Dad became ill late last year which was age-related. The staff made me aware of the situation and made every effort to encourage him to eat and drink and raise his spirits. Unfortunately, Dad did not respond and became weaker. Although we were in the middle of a pandemic the staff and manager ensured we spent every last minute with Dad and were exceptionally compassionate to Dad and our family. Dad had a wonderful time there and although he was a very stubborn man he joined in with activities and made good relationships with the staff. I would definitely recommend the home to anyone who is looking for a home for their relative as they are all respected and cared for and the staff go above and beyond their duties, thank you to all at Church Manor.

Mum has now been at this exceptional care home since October 2021 after spending the best part of the year in and out of hospital. She had lost her confidence and became quite withdrawn. In the time Mum has been at the home the wonderful, caring staff have coaxed her out of her room to enjoy the extra activities that this home puts on and now goes downstairs on a regular basis for meals. Mum has also enjoyed her 100th birthday in December and was made to feel very special indeed, even receiving a card from the Queen which the home have framed and put up on her wall.

Mum is not the easiest resident to deal with as she has dementia and is always losing her hearing aids. However, the staff have the utmost patience, which I have seen for myself on video calls. My sister and I got so frustrated at not being able to find the right home when we were searching but the wait was worth it. In these strange times, it’s wonderful to know she is being so well cared for. Cannot speak highly enough.

I want to more than thank the owner and the amazing team at Church Manor Care Home for the care, love and dignity that they give our mum. I can't put into words just how lucky we are that a place became available in October 2021 at Church Manor for our darling mum. The Church Manor team are very caring with a lovely family atmosphere. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they go that extra mile to make our mother feel very much at home. Bless you all, you are more than superstars.

Due to Covid and my location, I have been unable to visit however all the staff I have spoken with have kept me informed about my mother. It has been a difficult time but my mum seems to have settled in well and all the photos we have seen on Facebook have been encouraging. I look forward to when I can visit Mum and meet all the staff who are doing an excellent job and thank them. When I phone the staff always give me an update on Mum and when she was in hospital, took the time to update me daily even though they are extremely busy. A very big thank you to all the staff for the support they are giving to my mum.

I went to take a Xmas present for my mum and some chocolates for staff just before Xmas as my mum was in quarantine as she had been in hospital. As I got there mum was released from quarantine and a member of staff asked me if I would like to see mum as I have not seen her since February because of lockdown and I live in England. I was so pleased, I went around to the secure room and mum came in with staff members and they really showed compassion and care for her. I was so pleased to see her and grateful to all the staff, even when I call to speak to her nothing is too much trouble, so thanks to all the staff for looking after and caring for our mum.

My mum is in Church Manor she is very happy there, all the staff are lovely and keep me well informed about mum during this awful time when we can't see each other. They have tried their best with outdoor then pod meetings. I'm looking forward to meeting mum in the future in their garden setting.

My 100-year-old Mum spent three weeks at this lovely home while I had a minor operation. She tells me, I would highly recommend Church Manor', stating,
'Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, even in the middle of the night, they were kind, the food was lovely and m room was very comfortable'.
Unfortunately Mum was in the home during the Covid pandemic, so even with a negative test, she had to isolate for two weeks. During this time I was able to FaceTime her with the help of the staff. Her hearing is very poor and they patiently"translated' for me! So it was a joy for her to mix with the other residents when she was able and I was delighted to see photos of her engaging in various activities.
If the need ever arose again I would have no reservation in phoning up to enquire about a vacancy.

Heartfelt thanks to all at the home who took such good of my mum.

I am very happy with the quality and standard of care provided by Church Manor Care Home. I am so pleased that my Mum is receiving the best of care. From the management to the staff, the whole operation is run professionally and with the greatest of expertise and care. The staff and management are excellent and provide the highest level of service and care to the residents. My mother-in-law needed to go into care urgently at a very difficult time at the start of Covid lockdown in March. Church Manor were very accommodating and a room was allocated at short notice. They have helped her tremendously through this change in her life. Nothing has been too much trouble and there were a few health problems with her at the start. My mother-in-law is very content at Church Manor and is now staying there permanently. I would recommend Church Manor to anyone. The staff and management have been brilliant.

Mum has been at Church Manor for nearly one year now, it has a real family home feel about the care home, the staff are kind and efficient, very happy to just sit down and spend time with the residents. Mum has dementia and her care is really important that the carers understand how to help Mum if she is stressed or confused, they do this with care, compassion and kindness for each resident. I am very happy with Mum's care.

Mum took up residence in late October and has found the transition remarkably easy. In her own words, she has found Church Manor to be homely and very caring and the staff very attentive, with a lovely sense of humour.

We would highly recommend Church Manor to any potential resident.

We visited my mother on a Friday for a few hours in the afternoon. We were offered to sit in the lounge and offered tea or coffee. We had a pleasant experience and my mother is very happy here at the Manor.

Thank you for taking care of her. Mother says it is like a big family.
