- Mum's finger nails not being trimmed depsite me asking several times and only today being told that I need to provide kit for doing this (when she was at home the podiatrists trimmed finger and toe nails) One of the dishwashers has been broken for a number of weeks - this is not acceptable and affects staff and residents - is a hygiene issue.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on Coronation House. We would like to sincerely apologise that this has been your experience. We hold ourself to a high standard at Care UK and these standards have not been met.
Please be assured that we will remind the team of the importance of ensuring all trays are clean before meals are served and will monitor this more closely.
Regarding the dishwasher, we appreciate your frustration. We agree that having a dishwasher out of service for an extended period is not acceptable. The fault has been reported, and we are continuing to escalate the repair with the contractor. In the meantime, alternative cleaning procedures are in place to maintain hygiene standards, although we recognise this is not an ideal long-term solution.
Regarding your mum’s personal care, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further. Please could we ask that you contact the Home Manager if this is something you would be happy to do.
Thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention. Your feedback helps us identify where we need to improve.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. We're delighted to hear that your father enjoyed his two weeks of respite care at Coronation House and that he felt so welcomed and well looked after during his stay.It truly means a great deal to us to know that he found the home to be a lovely place and that our team's kindness made such a positive impression. Hearing this from someone with experience working in care homes themselves is especially meaningful, and we are incredibly proud of our staff for delivering the genuine care and warmth you describe.
We're so pleased your father had a good break, and we hope to welcome him back again whenever he may need us. Thank you once again for your kind words they are deeply appreciated by the whole team.

My 94 year old Mum was in Coronation House for a month's respite care/rehab following a fall at home and also 2x hospital stays. From the very first phone call and then the initial meeting at my mum's house, we knew that Coronation House was going to be good for our family. During her stay, we were all impressed by the care given and the friendliness of all staff. It was lovely to be able to visit our Mum at any time, and also to be able to make tea/coffee whilst there. My mum had initially been resistant to staying, but agreed in the end that it was a lovely place and that the care given was excellent. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your very kind words. The manager and her team spoke very fondly of your Mum and said what a lovely lady she was and that it was a privilege to care for her. We are all really pleased that she had a wonderful time and that you were pleased with the care she received.

My parents were really looked after at Coronation house whilst enjoying some well needed respite. The staff were friendly, caring and always professional in their work. The residence itself is beautiful and more like a hotel than a care home. My parents are vegetarian (and fussy eaters) and they thoroughly enjoyed the varied menu. My mother has complex medical needs that require timely medication and this was taken care of perfectly. I confidently recommend this loving care home to anyone who is looking for the very best care for their loved ones, it's amazing.
I am delighted to hear that your parents had a wonderful time at Coronation House and that our team were able to meet with your expectations. Thank you for taking the time to send your feedback and to provide your recommendation, it is very much appreciated and I will certainly ensure all the team are able to read your very kind words.

I have been hugely impressed by Coronation House. The staff show genuine care for the residents, spend time with them, encouragement do things for themselves, show signs of knowing them well individually. They are very responsive to the resident's needs. Everytime I visit (on average every 2 weeks) some kind of activity is underway, singing, dancing, quizzes, film shows etc. The food looks very good. The rooms and decor are fantastic. The staff is very welcoming to visitors. They are clearly proud of where they work. As with the every care home I have visited, I do wonder if residents get enough vitamin D! I love the clothe labelling - v. efficient + works!
Thank you for your feedback. it is so pleasing to read your comments as all our staff are very passionate about the care and service they provide to our residents. i can assure you that residents do go out for walks and trips and are actively encouraged to enjoy the sunshine when we finally have some.
My mother in law started this adventure in November 2024, and from all the times we have been here (as well as other family members) the care and support has been fantastic. We are so glad to have mother in law here safe and extremely comfortable.
