My sister needed respite care following a fall and subsequent hip replacement. Cotswold Rise provided a safe space for her to recover and regain her confidence.
The staff were lovely, helping her to continue practicing walking up stairs. She particularly enjoyed the visits from the hairdresser & chiropodist as well as the companionship of the other residents.

The food was good, particularly the cooked breakfasts & cakes !

My mum has been visiting Cotswold Rise on average once a week for respite day care since March 2026, with a couple of short overnight stays. We have found the home to be clean, and the staff / residents very welcoming which has helped make her feel part of the community there from the very start. There are lots of activities that the staff organise daily which is nice and the staff are very caring and supportive.

Dad has been in Cotswold Rise for a while now, being one of the first intake. This was and continues to be a daunting experience for us all, including dad. The caring and supportive staff within Cotswold Rise continually support the family, helping us navigate dementia and Alzheimer's, a first for our family. They always have time for explaining and reassuring us and the care dad has received has been amazing. It's not just the residents that receive a high level of care and support, it's the family too. We cannot thank the staff enough for all they do for us and dad, even within the challenges of Alzheimer's. If you are considering a home from home for your loved one, you must visit Cotswold Rise. You won't be disappointed.

Mum has been so well looked after for the 2 yrs 4 months she has now been in the care home. She settled from the very first day she arrived at the age of 99 years old not long after the Care Home opened. Staff have been so attentative and caring towards Mum in all that time. A comfort to family knowing she is so well cared for and happy in her surroundings. I can highly recommend Cotswolds Rise Residential Care Home

I can't thank the team enough for the care and kindness they've shown my Grandma. Once reluctant to go into a care home, she quickly grew fond of the staff, environment and care provided. The staff are genuinely compassionate, attentive and always willing to go the extra mile to make residents feel comfortable and valued. The home itself truly feels like a home rather than a facility.

It has given myself and my family real peace of mind knowing my grandma is so well looked after. Highly recommend.

I would like to thank the staff for the kindness and care they showed my mother when she recently celebrated her 90th Birthday while living at Cotswold Rise.
A family birthday tea was organised in The Garden Room and the staff went out of their way to make the day special.

My mum has resided at Cotswolds Rise Care Home since June 2025. She is treated with compassion and care by all staff. The residents have regular activities to keep them engaged. The food is also superb. Mum was taken to hospital. Special thanks to Poojs (senior carer) for her care and compassion whilst mum was ill. Pooja also took the time to contact me to keep me updated via mobile.

Lovely spacious care home - like a hotel. Good size and well equipped bedroom & ensuite. Staff kind and friendly. Food excellent. Bins and rubbish not emptied or removed daily. Clothes not labelled in order to be washed. Clothes lost. Table/pill found on floor of bedroom. Dirty bed linen not seen until pointed out by family. No floor sensor mat as promised to monitor dad at night. Dad's legs not regularly washed and treated leading to bleeding and soreness. No consistent supervision when walking and lack of regular monitoring. Family seeking recompense.

My grandmother has been living at Cotsworld Rise a while now, and we couldn't be happier. The staff are so caring and always take time to chat with her. She especially loves the activities - bingo night is her favorite!
The home is clean, welcoming, and feels like a real community. Her room is cozy and a great size, and we always feel reassured knowing she's safe and well looked after. We're so grateful for the kindness and attention the Gemma, Tim and the team show her every day.

I would highly reccomend Cotsworld rise for the quality of care and the building is beautiful.

My mother-in-law had a 2 week respite stay after her care home closed suddenly.
Cotswolds Rise supported the transfer of residents and professionals to this new home with grace and compassion.
Mother-in-law enjoyed her stay and felt she was a favorite with staff before moving back in county.

This care home is lovely for mobile, articulate residents. There are plenty of activities, trips, entertainment, good food, and friendly staff.

However, it's not suitable for those needing higher levels of care. My grandmother, who had mobility and communication difficulties, suffered multiple falls due to poor lifting techniques. Staff didn't help her eat, leaving her malnourished, dehydrated, and with untreated bed sores. Despite being continent, she was wrongly put in nappies. Communication tools we provided were ignored, and staff relied on her first response, which was often incorrect. Since moving to a better care home, she's regained weight, can swallow again, no longer wears nappies, and her communication has improved. This home is not equipped for vulnerable residents needing consistent, skilled support.

I booked my mother-in-law into Cotswold Rise Care Home for respite care following a stay in hospital. From day one she has been happy and settled. The staff are amazing with her and us alike. My dad currently attends Cotswold Rise Care Home as a day care visitor, twice a week and has also had a respite stay for three weeks. The atmosphere, care and attention he has received from all the staff has been excellent. From the moment he walks through the front door he is welcomed and taken great care of. He thoroughly enjoys all of the activities and the food. During his respite stay his room was very comfortable and clean. All the staff treat the residents/day visitors as individuals, the daily routines are relaxed to allow flexibility with how individuals are feeling each day.

Although as a family we never wanted to be in the position for dad to have to go into a care home, we are very pleased we chose the Cotswold Rise Care Home to support him. I would highly recommend the Cotswold Rise Care Home and the team who work there.
