My mother-in-law had a 2 week respite stay after her care home closed suddenly.
Cotswolds Rise supported the transfer of residents and professionals to this new home with grace and compassion.
Mother-in-law enjoyed her stay and felt she was a favorite with staff before moving back in county.

This care home is lovely for mobile, articulate residents. There are plenty of activities, trips, entertainment, good food, and friendly staff.
However, it's not suitable for those needing higher levels of care. My grandmother, who had mobility and communication difficulties, suffered multiple falls
due to poor lifting techniques. Staff didn't help her eat, leaving her malnourished, dehydrated, and with untreated bed sores. Despite being continent, she was wrongly put in nappies. Communication tools we provided were ignored, and staff relied on her first response, which was often incorrect. Since moving to a better care home, she's regained weight, can swallow again, no longer wears nappies, and her communication has improved. This home is not equipped for vulnerable residents needing consistent, skilled support.

I booked my mother-in-law into Cotswold Rise Care Home for respite care following a stay in hospital. From day one she has been happy and settled. The staff are amazing with her and us alike. She likes it so much she has asked to live there permanently when her respite ends, we are all delighted with
the outcome. This speaks volumes about all the staff and Cotswold Rise.

My dad currently attends Cotswold Rise Care Home as a day care visitor, twice a week and has also had a respite stay for three weeks. The atmosphere, care and attention he has received from all the staff has been excellent. From the moment he walks through the front door he is welcomed and taken great
care of. He thoroughly enjoys all of the activities and the food. During his respite stay his room was very comfortable and clean. All the staff treat the residents/day visitors as individuals, the daily routines are relaxed to allow flexibility with how individuals are feeling each day.
Although as a family we never wanted to be in the position for dad to have to go into a care home, we are very pleased we chose the Cotswold Rise Care Home to support him. I would highly recommend the Cotswold Rise Care Home and the team who work there.

My husband enjoyed another two-week break at Cotswolds Rise Care Home in October/November. It was so nice when we first arrived as several members of the team welcomed him back and remembered his name. He was able to take part in many activities during his stay. Nothing seems too much trouble. He was
even moved back into the room he occupied during his first visit because he became confused being in a different room. Thank you so much to all the caring, compassionate staff.

My mother has been a resident at the care home since February and is now very settled and happy there. She enjoys the daily company of others enormously. The management and staff organised a wonderful 100th birthday party with singer for her this month, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The staff and carers
are doing a great job, so friendly and helpful.

My mum and dad had a respite stay at Cotswolds Rise Care Home. The care they received from the staff was excellent. The staff made a real effort to get to know them and what they liked and disliked. The room was very clean and comfortable and it was lovely to have a double bed so they could stay in
the room together. The food was excellent and the chef was happy to accommodate any likes and dislikes. Overall an excellent stay. We would definitely use Cotswolds Rise again and can highly recommend them.

Making the decision to have my Grandad in a care home was very hard for us as a family. However, the service and reassurance from Cotswolds Rise Care Home has been exceptional. Every time I come and visit the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The home just feels like a second home for us and really
nice to see how well my Grandad is being cared for especially given how complex his health needs are. The home has been decorated and maintained so well. Thank you to all the amazing staff.

Every time I go to see my brother-in-law I am welcomed by the care staff who are always very welcoming. My brother-in-law is always dressed, clean and tidy. His room is always clean and the bed is made just like a hotel.

Moving dad into Cotswold Rise Care Home came at a difficult time, but the whole team made this very easy. Dad has settled in well and enjoys the company of other residents and the friendly staff. I feel at ease that he is somewhere that looks after him well and care about him as an individual.

My grandad has been in the care home now for over a year after living at home with my parents. It's so nice that the family no longer need to worry about him on a daily basis as we know he is being well looked after by the wonderful team working everyday.
The staff are very engaging and make me feel
welcome. My grandad's first language is not English but this doesn't stop the staff from talking and interacting with him throughout the day, this is very nice to see as it would be easier for them to not bother but they go the extra mile to make him feel safe and comfortable.
Every time I go there, the staff know exactly where my grandad is and they provide me with a full update on his past 24 hours, which reassures me that he is constantly being cared and looked after.
I cannot speak highly enough of the staff working at the care home, however I am aware I am getting to my 1000 limit. I just want to say a huge thank you from my family for looking after my grandad.

When my Mother-in-law came to stay for 2 weeks respite I was very pleased that we'd found a safe comfortable place for her to enjoy.
I settled her in and right from the start she seemed relaxed and settled.
My MIL is not one for getting too involved and the carers/staff soon realised this and put
in the effort to include her.
It's warm caring friendly and welcoming.
She went home after 2 weeks but the very next day she wanted to go back.
Now even more than before she seems so settled and is enjoying her new routine and keeps telling me she is so well looked after.
Thank you to all the lovely friendly caring staff for doing a great job.

Last month two senior care assistants were on leave during this time it was great to see two young carers step up and take on added responsibility they both provide care with a nice smile on their faces and never complain about anything. If all youngsters had the same work ethic, England would be great
again!

Looks more like a hotel than a care home. Everyone was friendly and helpful. My friend has settled in nicely and referred to it as home, which is definitely a step in the right direction. The food was great in quality and quantity. It was nice to see some nik-nacks had made the journey too.

A very welcoming. homely experience. The home was very clean and the day out was very good. The staff could not do anymore, always on hand and very polite and friendly. The additional support and needs seems to be taken care of, and it was like visiting home to home. I was very impressed with the layout,
and the facilities available for us to use. I was pleasantly surprised with the fine details and care whilst visiting.

My mother has been at Cotswolds Rise for respite following a fall at home. Since arriving here, she has improved with her diet, she loves the food and feels safe. She has made the decision to stay permanently, which makes us as her family happy.

My mother went to Cotswolds Rise Care Home for respite for five weeks. She really was well looked after, and I found all the staff to be helpful, caring and kind. I found the managers to be approachable and professional and quick to respond to any queries. My mum was treated with dignity and respect,
and the staff became fond of her firing her stay. Mum talked about the chatter and laughter she experienced there.

I have worked in residential care supporting older adults for the last 12 years; the values and ethos of Hartford Care resonate with me personally and professionally, and therefore I am thrilled to be a part of the Team.


I started my career in care as a Care Assistant and fell in love with supporting people and assisting residents living with dementia to live as fulfilled a life as possible.
