Mum went to stay in Dale Brook for 2 weeks respite while I went away. So impressed with everything. Mum enjoyed her stay and will be back on June. All the staff are so lovely and nothing was too much trouble.
The staff at Dale Brook went out of their way to help me when emergency repairs needed doing in my mums bungalow. She went in for daycare and had a lovely day. Everyone was so kind and helpful to both her and me, and made a very stressful situation so much easier. She enjoyed her lunch and coffee and cake! I cannot speak highly enough of Dale Brook. Since it opened last year, we've also enjoyed coffee mornings and community activities there on a regular basis
Many thanks for your kind review Helen. We were very happy to help and hope to see you soon!
My Mum had a 2 week Respite stay at Dale Brook. Her room was just like a nice hotel, very comfortable as well as practical with a large TV. There were a few lounge areas, all very comfortable and homely as well as practical. The staff were very professional, attentive and friendly, they all tried extremely hard to make my Mum feel settled as well as meeting her care needs.
It is such a comfortable, homely, place. All the staff, in all departments, are what make it the special place it is.
A wide range of activities are available everyday. All meals are freshly cooked. Lovely, clean rooms. Laundry. Not forgetting the exceptional care, everyone receives.
Lots more is included in the price. No extras. All in!

And she has!

The care is amazing, my father moved in as a recently bedridden man and within days he was able to take short walks, a result solely of the support and care offered. I am just so impressed. They didnt see him as a broken man but as someone whose quality of life could be improved. He feels and is well cared for.
The staff are cheerful and always welcome me with a smile and an offer of hot drinks.
The buiding is new and was designed around the needs of the residents with bars, cafe areas, library, cine room, garden room all included to keep residents involved and included. The bedrooms are lovely, my father has a door to the gardens and he is looking forward to summer when he can enjoy that fully.
It is more expensive than other local care homes but the combination of care and accomodation make it worthwhile in my view.
Thank you for your kind words, we are very proud of the team we have and we will be sure to pass this on.
Dale brook is light and bright with lots going on the staff are kind happy but above all competent, the residents are first priority treated with respect spoken with and listened too.
It was my dads first visit to a care home for respite and he was very reluctant but from the minute he arrived he was treated with genuine care and attention which he loved and he thrived so I did't need to worry at all.
I can honestly say i cannot fault Dale Brook, the rooms are modern and comfortable with everything you need better than most hotels I've stayed in there's also a cinema room and a bar a restaurant area set out beautifully, a lounge and a garden room.
Visitors are welcome to join there loved ones for a meal too which is prepared by cooks in the kitchens on site which I must say is very good.
Thank you not only for looking after my dad but for giving me peace of mind
Thank you so much for your kind words Lesley! We loved having your dad stay with us and are pleased to hear that he enjoyed his time as well. I will be sure to pass your lovely review on to the rest of the team.
We call it her Hotel because that's what it feels like a luxury hotel with fab caring people, brilliant chefs and great activities. Mum has dementia and I felt relaxed and happy whilst away.
They went out to a local Christmas fayre and to the pub for a sing along , had therapy dogs visit and a Filipino dance group . They also had coffee morning with chesterfield footballers to collect toys for hospital
Lots to be involved with and visitors can go anytime day or night .
Many thanks for you kind review. We are so happy your mum settled in here at Dale Brook and hope that she will come back for a visit soon! We will be sure to pass on your kind words to all of our care team.
I had a lovely welcome when I entered the home, staff were really friendly and caring. My friend is having respite care for a few weeks and I could see that she was thriving, enjoying the food and activities and chatting to other residents. Lovely relaxed atmosphere throughout. I was invited to join in a Christmas card making activity. My friend said her room was lovely but I didn't get round to seeing it.
Many Thanks for these kind words. We are so proud of our Team here at Dale Brook and we will be be sure to pass this on to them.
My Gran is currently at Dale Brook on a long term stay up until at least Summer 2026.
She has dementia, though not currently severe.
The staff speak to her very kindly and have already made her feel welcome and at home.
The building, though strange looking from the outside, is absolutely perfect within.
The food and drinks on offer is sublime and the activities and very fun.
I would highly recommend this care home to anybody within Derbyshire.
Thank you Joseph for your lovely review. We really do appreciate your feedback and we are happy that Gran is doing well and that you are happy with home and services we offer.
Although from the outside the building does not look inviting Dale Brook is a wonderful place.
The staff, accommodation and food is superb.
Nothing is too much trouble, they are looking after my mum with care and attention which is all you can ask for. Having experienced other Care Homes I can honestly say this is the best one I have ever come across.
I would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone.
Thank you Janet for your very kind review. We are so happy your mum has settled in so well and we will pass on these kind words to our team who will be very proud.
This is truly a care home. The staff are all not just working, they care. It is like a 5-star hotel, yes it is! It is also extremely homely, no sitting in circles staring into space. The layout is of a very nice open plan house. The bedrooms are luxurious with lovely facilities and decor. It is the only place I would let my husband go to.
Many thanks for your very kind review, June. We are very proud of our team and are proud we are your Care Home of choice. This means the world to our team.
She is staying for a few weeks respite and the staff have been very attentive with daily activities and especially with her specific dietary needs.
Due to get enjoying her stay so much she has extended it for another week.
The facilities and decor and cleanliness are very good and I visit her regularly whilst she has been there.
No residential home is particularly cheap but it compared favourably to others at the same level.
Many thanks for your kind words. We are exceptionally proud that your mother enjoyed her stay as much as we enjoyed having her. We will be sure to pass on your kind words to our team.
Dale Brook are looking after my mother-in-law and have been so attentive to her needs.
