Glenview Nursing Home

My name is Ben and I am the manager of Glenview Care Home. I work hard in maintaining person-centred care for all of our residents making sure they are happy. I am very approachable and have a good rapport with the service users who feel they can talk to me about anything - I always have time for them. I maintain good relationships with the families and always make them feel welcome and let them know that I am here to talk about anything and will go above and beyond to help them, our residents and my staff in any way I can.

I am Aby, the deputy manager, clinical lead and nurse. Caring is my passion. I have vast experience in dementia and dealing with challenging behaviour. Glenview is my second home. I trained in Zimbabwe and have 4 years of experience in the UK.

My name is Mary Ann and I am the team leader at Glenview. In the past, I have worked as a nurse assistant for 1 year and as a private caregiver for 6 years, both in Bilbao, Spain. I am also a registered nurse in the Philippines and worked under this title in the neonatal intensive care unit.

My name is Abi and I trained for 4 years in Counselling Skills, from this experience I learnt about person-centred approaches, how to actively listen and the importance of being in the moment with someone and allowing them to lead a session but with help from my guidance. I am also trained in Indian Head Massage and gained an adaptation of this in Indian Head Massage for the Elderly. I am a creative, caring person who feels our older generation needs to feel like they still have a voice and a purpose and to continue teaching us all they know and I feel blessed to be in their company.

My name is Basil and I have 14 years of experience as a chef. I went to university and gained a BSc degree in Hotel Management and Tourism Studies. Whilst studying I worked as a Commis chef. I have experience working in an Italian restaurant situated in a hotel and for various cruise lines. After working as a Commis chef I soon progressed to a Chef de Partie. Throughout my previous work where I cooked and presented high-quality dishes, managed and trained Commis chefs, was responsible for à la carte operations and assisted with menu planning, I am bringing all of these skills to Glenview. I put a lot of passion, time and creativity into my dishes and I can cater for large events which a huge selection of foods. I am open to new ideas and am very dedicated and hard-working.

My name is Betciya and I am the admin assistant. Whilst back home in India I worked for 4 years in admin, accounting, hosting and as an auditor, from this experience I know how things work from the beginning to the end. I recently took a master's degree in Business and Administration at the University of Central Lancashire.
