My review is for the last 2 months, where i have seen the home return to the higher standards, held by the previous nursing manager, who sadly left just under a year ago. The whole atmosphere has changed in the past 2 months, staff seemed less stressed and the residents more settled. I have always been
happy with the care my Uncle gets and with his main carers. He can be very challenging and they have an agreed plan for the team to follow which is reviewed regularly and i am kept informed by the carers and nursing management of any changes, incidents and concerns, professionally and with genuine emphathy. For me, the care is one of the important factors and one the main reasons we choose the homes we do for our loved ones. Well done for the recent changes, long may they continue.

I have previously written a review when Dad first came to the villa over 2 years ago.
A big hole was left when the nurse/manager left. She was something very special. The carers were and still are amazing, working through different and changed circumstances.
In the last month or so, through sad circumstances
there has been another change of management. Since this has happened you can visually see changes happening for the better. The villa seems a happy place. Staff seem happier. The residents are active and involved in activities if they are able.
There appears to be a new way of working, and at least one carer is always available in the lounge, in case of any issues.
The cleanliness of the villa is always good. The lounges have been re-arranged for residents to actively sit at the tables for food if they're able.
I've always been happy with the staff and how they look after Dad, but it's nice to see his "home" becoming that again.

My wife has been a resident at Orchid Villa for 15 months. Placing your LO in a home is the hardest decision you can make but I have not regretted choosing Orchid. The home has long, wide bright corridors which is important as my wife (61) is physically fit and needs to exercise. The staff are very
attentive and caring, every one of them. The food is varied and good proportions. And when I leave after a visit I'm comforted in knowing that she is being looked after so I don't need to worry. I totally recommend this home

I find the care at Orchid Villa good on the whole. The staff are friendly, and reasonably attentive.
Recently, there has been a decline in the activities available since the activities coordinator changed roles. There is very little offered now. One member of staff in particular is exceptional and
deserves a promotion; his care is fantastic.

My husband moved into Grosvenor Villas in November 2023 having previously been a resident in a "residential" care home but now needing dementia nursing care. I viewed several homes in this category, Grosvenor Villas being the chosen one, mainly for the initial reception given by the manager, the welcoming
attitude of the care staff, and the general "homely" surroundings. Now that my husband has been a resident at Grosvenor Villas for several months, I cannot praise the care sufficiently. All the staff are so caring, go out of their way in giving 110% to the residents and also treat family members in a very sincere manner, almost as a part of "the Grosvenor Villas family". Residents are treated with dignity and respect, and their wellbeing and stimulation are evident in every aspect of their care.
I am relieved to have found a nursing home where I know that my husband is being looked after without any concerns to me. I give a big thank you to every member of the staff for the excellent care and sincerity they all show.
I would most definitely recommend Grosvenor Villas to anyone looking to find a good nursing home.

Last November I came to the UK as it was evident that my mum needed help in finding a nursing home for my dad as he transitioned from a care home. Living abroad, this was a challenging and stressful situation to handle. Having visited six other care homes, as soon as I entered Orchid Villa I felt we
had found somewhere we could call 'home' for my dad. Whilst this will never replace his 'real' home this is absolutely the best place. We received a warm welcome from all staff and every question was answered in a professional and friendly manner. The manager reassured both me and my mum and allayed all our anxieties. Seven months later I have come to visit my dad and I cannot express the admiration I have for Orchid Villa. The quality care the manager and all the staff show towards my dad displays professionalism, dignity and kindness. While this will never be an ideal situation, I am comforted with the knowledge that my dad is in the best place possible suited to his needs for which I cannot convey my thanks enough to all the staff.

Such a lovely, friendly atmosphere. The carers and nurses are so lovely and patient with the residents and visitors. They all work extremely hard and are absolute angels. My father was a resident at Orchid Villa from June 2021 to his passing in July 2024. During this time, the staff have been amazing, caring, supportive, friendly and patient and have taken a genuine interest in my dad. We have been kept updated on his care throughout. We have never had any concerns or
worries. All the staff do a tremendous job, with diligence and sincerity. As a family, we will be forever grateful for everything they have done.

The best care for Dad. I can't thank the team at Orchard Villa enough for the way they cared for our dad over the 3 years he was a resident. He was in very safe hands throughout his time there and as challenging as dementia is, they showed the most incredible amount of love, respect and patience for
him. Dad was always clean, shaven and dressed when we arrived. They took great care of his personal needs and he was included in as many activities as possible with his condition. We were always kept fully informed of any issues Dad's health presented right up until the end when he needed urgent medical attention. Thank you so much to everyone at the Orchard Villas from me and my whole family. We will never forget you.

My dad spent a few months in Orchid Villa after his previous home would no longer cater to his advancing dementia. I am so impressed by the care he received here, and the lovely thoughtful facilities like the quiet room. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure the residents are comfortable, cared
for, safe, and extremely well looked after. It's also lovely that it's all on the ground floor with access to the pleasant little garden.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Grosvenor Villas. And I cannot thank each and every staff member enough for looking after him in his final months.

The only concern I have is the monitoring of the front entrance door. The time it takes to open the front door entrance can take up to 5 minutes for the door to be opened. A bell or buzzer needs installing.

Orchid Villa was my mum’s home for almost 8 years. During that time her needs were complex and forever changing. The staff at the villa were always caring and patient. I could ring or visit any time and the nurses would always make time for me and other family members. It has been a difficult journey,
but I want to say a very big, heartfelt thank you to all the staff who cared for her. Mum is at peace now. Thank you.

Our dad spent the last few weeks of his life in Orchard Villas. It was a very difficult and sad time but the staff did everything they could to look after him and our family. Every member of the team working there was helpful, friendly and always had a welcoming smile. They could not do enough for us.
The care home was very well lead and we were kept updated at all times. We can highly recommend Orchid Villas.

Mum has been at Grosvenor Villas for over 12 months now and we have found her care to be excellent. The staff are friendly and really caring towards Mum. We are kept up to date with Mum's care and any issues arising.

When it was known that my father needed a care home, I was extremely apprehensive as I didn't know what to expect. I shouldn't have been! From my first visit to view, the staff and management at Orchid Villa have been nothing more than wonderful and reassuring to both myself and my dad. He has come
on leaps and bounds, he is so settled and much healthier. It is lovely to see the interaction between him and the staff. He is happy.
