When it was known that my father needed a care home, I was extremely apprehensive as I didn't know what to expect. I shouldn't have been! From my first visit to view, the staff and management at Orchid Villa have been nothing more than wonderful and reassuring to both myself and my dad. He has come on leaps and bounds, he is so settled and much healthier. It is lovely to see the interaction between him and the staff. He is happy.
Thank you very much for your lovely review. It is extremely rewarding to know that our residents, family and friends are happy with the home, the care and the services we offer. Warm Regards.
My mum currently resides in Orchid Villa and has done since March 2022. In the last care home, my mum was not settled, but since arriving at Orchid Villa, she has completely settled and has come on leaps and bounds and is so much happier in herself. All staff here have been amazing, and the care and support my mum receives are exceptional. Every visit is wonderful, my mum is engaged, and the staff are always on hand. Orchid Villa is very well maintained, always clean and has a warm and welcome atmosphere whenever I come to visit. The facilities are great, and my mum's room is perfect and always clean. The activities that they complete on a regular basis with the residents are great for my mum, and she loves to get involved. I would like to mention the amazing Jubilee party the staff here at Orchid Villa worked extremely hard to make happen, it was a wonderful day and memories as a family we will cherish forever.
Thank you very much for your lovely review. It is extremely rewarding to know that our residents, family and friends are happy with the home, the care and the services we offer. Warm Regards.
My husband has been in Orchid Villa, Grosvenor Villas since August 2021. He has been treated with respect and kindness as have my family. The villa manager shows great leadership which reflects in her staff. The food is excellent. We have just had an amazing Jubilee party for everyone which we all enjoyed. I would recommend it to anyone.

I find every member of the staff in Orchid Villa from the cleaners and laundry up to the higher levels including reception staff and managers, and the handyman, very kind, considerate and caring in every way. Always happy to help and always keeps me informed of any problems. Thank you.

My wife was a resident in Grosvenor Villas for over ten years and I couldn’t have wished for a better home for her to spend her final years. Throughout her stay she had many of the same staff to look after her, they became more like family than professional carers. My wife was always treated with the utmost respect and love. Because of the continuity of the staff I always felt confident that any changes in my wife’s condition were identified and dealt with promptly, I was kept well informed of any changes and if I had any issues the staff were always available for me to talk to.
Thank you very much for your lovely review. It is extremely rewarding to know that our residents, family and friends are happy with the home, the care and the services we offer. Warm Regards, The Cedar Care Family.
Caring and friendly staff.
Thank you very much for your review. Warm Regards, The Cedar Care Family.
After a difficult 18 months, it is lovely to get back to visits again. The staff are always helpful and cheerful. The food is excellent. My husband is in orchid villa and it has a very homely atmosphere and the nursing staff always listen to my concerns and deal with it straight away. I would recommend this nursing home.
Thank you very much for your lovely review. The pandemic has been incredibly difficult for us all, however, our staff have continued to strive to maintain the Cedar Care standard. It is extremely rewarding to know that our residents, family and friends are happy with the home, the care and the services we offer. Warm Regards, The Cedar Care Family.
From current experience, I have found only professionalism and a high level of good care at this care home. From various experiences of care homes in the past with both parents, this has been undoubtedly the best experience, With the staff being the most valuable asset, their level of knowledge in handling complex dementia needs and are able to find solutions. They are also thorough with daily care plans and when I call, can tell me exactly my father's condition and how they are assisting him. A strong care team.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. Kind words like yours keep our staff inspired through their days of hard work. We are extremely proud of our staff and new manager who continue to uphold our high standards. We have passed on your comments to our team at Grosvenor Villas and they have been very grateful to receive them.
It is difficult to give a review from my wife's perspective as she has the onset of dementia causing her short-term memory to fail. On my afternoon visits she claims things like she has not eaten anything on that day; as not sleeping at night and also cannot recall recent visits by family members and medical professionals such as her CP and CPN. In my opinion, she is well; cared for, is in a safe environment and the determination in her mental health can be attributed to the inevitable long-term isolation caused by the essential lockdown.
I think the safety procedure is good.
My mother is looked after well and the carers are very kind and helpful. The only gripe is the room could be cleaned better and it is a bit shabby now. I am very fed up with damage done to mum's clothes as many have been shrunk and I have brought many pairs of slippers that have gone missing.
Very kind, helpful and considerate staff. Mum has experienced very good care overall, especially in relation to her Dementia. We are very grateful for the consideration given to mum.
My husband has been here since January 2021 so I have limited knowledge of what happens due to present circumstances. My husband seems settled and is looking well tended to and content.
Excellent care. My wife seems to have settled in well.
As a family, we don't believe our mum could be any better looked after.
My relative has been here several years and has been looked after really well by lovely, dedicated staff.
Staff all seem helpful and friendly. They all seem to know the residents quite well.
My mother is treated with dignity and respect. Staff care is excellent, I feel the regular staff understand my mother's needs. She seems very happy and well looked after.
Super staff, extremely helpful and informative. Mum is very relaxed with them and it is clear she feels at ease and happy in the way she greets them. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
All carers very friendly and helpful.
