First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to the manager, Amy and all of her team who work so hard for their patients' welfare. My brother Thomas has extreme nursing care needs as he has suffered brain damage and also needs to be fed via a PEG. He receives amazing care. The home itself is always well looked after, and my brother's room is always spotless. The room itself is very spacious with an ensuite bathroom. I would highly recommend this home on all levels.

My brother in law has been in Ivy Gate since November 2024. My wife and I have appreciated all the dedicated staff, and in particular Aimi, the home manager. The staff also provides medical support via the various feeding devices that he needs. The home and rooms are spacious and quite luxurious. The staff have also helped when he has had to transfer into hospital on several occasions. Aimi has always been helpful and is contactable.

We are very pleased with the care she is getting. The rooms are a very good size. She loves the entertainment as she loves singing. All the staff are very pleasant, and we love that we can take her down to the bistro for a cup of tea as she thinks she is going out.

First class service from every single member of staff. Have had need to visit many care homes over the last few years and this one is certainly amongst the best I have visited. The care and attention given to my uncle is very genuine and we are so pleased to have found this care home. Well done everyone.

Cannot praise the staff at Ivy Gate highly enough. My mum has been resident at I.G. from 18/12/25. Mum suffered from quite advanced mixed dementia, but did not take any medication for it. Instead she was 'managed' 'environmentally'. Which, even though she was in her 90's mobile and very strong minded - could present some challenges. As staff grew to know mum they learnt what does and doesn't work with mum and were very proactive in implementing positive changes. During the last week of mums life - the staff looked after mum and the whole of our family with empathy, kindness and love. They made the most difficult time of our lives bearable. For that I cannot thank them enough.

My father has been at this home for two years now. He had been stuck in hospital for months and was in poor health. He has had wonderful care from day one and grew stronger and happier. He is entering the last stages of his life now and I know he is in the best place with staff who really care about him and he responds positively to them. He is very challenging and I am so pleased with the kindness and patience the staff display towards him. They are truly wonderful. I would and do highly recommend this home.

Unfortunately, my brother was in another nursing home, which I will not name. His experience there was abysmal to say the least. He had very bad bed sores and aspirated pneumonia and spent several months in hospital recuperating from this. Since his arrival in Ivy Gate Lodge, he has received so much care and attention from the special team who work there. You will never know how much comfort this gives my family and I.

We as a family searched many towns and cities looking for a nursing home to look after our mum. I can say it was worth the search. The home and staff have been marvellous throughout. They know we know our mum best and they have respected that, and listened to us to tailor mum' care to what she needs, changing and adjusting it as her needs have changed. I cannot express how thankful we are for their kindness, and friendship shown to mum and the family, and the level of care and humanity all under the management of Amy, the Duty Manager and nurse, she and her staff, clinical and non clinical have been exceptional! Without any hesitation I would highly recommend Ivy Gate. Heartfelt thanks to you all.

My dad has been in a care home for 18 months, and his care deteriorated to the point he was safeguarded. I visited him daily as I was concerned for him. He has moved to Ivy Gate, and within days, I noticed a huge difference. I can now visit him without worrying. The whole ambience is perfect. The staff keep me informed of his wellbeing, and I couldn't fault anyone it's like a family away from home.
