My father and I are totally happy and content now that my mother is receiving the care and support that she needs. Kingsacre is a really good care home and the staff are great at what they do best and seem to have so much time for the residents and have built up a relationship which is so important as these are the go-to people for our loved ones. The only downside sometimes is the communication, I feel that we are not informed about some of the key things, such as reviews (6 monthly), changes to key carers etc. Happy to discuss this further.

My mother moved to Kingsacre late last year and since she moved, she has received outstanding care. Her dementia is fairly advanced, but she is still encouraged and assisted to actively participate in life in the home.

Carers and managers and everyone else on staff all seem upbeat and positive. Friend always treated kindly. It would be nice if food dribbles on clothes were cleaned up and glasses cleaned regularly.

We visited a number of possible homes for my Mum and she chose Kingsacre in advance of needing to live there. We agreed with the choice and I am very pleased that we all did. Her room is warm, bright and comfortable and the staff have been excellent. The staff are seemingly always bright and cheery and know everyone's name and are up to date with any issues or concerns and look out for their residents.

We were concerned about a possible UTI and on calling them, Kingsacre staff had already discussed the situation with her GP and had antibiotics ordered. We are confident that she is safe, warm and well cared for and that is a huge relief for the family.

My mother-in-law collapsed at the home in the early hours of the morning. The response by the care home staff was excellent. We were kept fully informed of what was happening. She was admitted to the accident and emergency unit of the nearby hospital and throughout her wait, a member of the care team stayed with her. Once she was discharged the home arranged for a taxi to transfer her and the carer safely back. It was a relief to know she had been so well cared for when we were unable to attend the hospital.

My mother was a resident in Kingsacre since January. The staff are amazing, very caring and nothing is too much trouble. Her room was lovely. The home was kept spotless. The furniture is stunning. She sadly passed away on July 4th. I was glad she spent her last few months in there where she was very content. A big thank you to all the staff.

My dad has been a resident of Kingsacre for 6 months now, and he says he loves it there and considers it his home.
I have to say in all honesty I just can't fault the place at all, the staff are friendly and helpful and the place is always spotless.
There also always seems to be activities on and as many of the residents are encouraged to join in, be it 'fitba skills' or visits to the golden friendship club.

I am so glad my dad is in a place he feels safe and happy in and loves to call it his home.

I had no idea how to even start to choose a care home for my father, I contacted many to arrange a tour and the whole experience was daunting.
However, from the moment the phone was first answered at Kingsacre I knew that was going to be my father’s new home. Everyone was so friendly and caring for Dad.
Dad settled in very quickly and it is his home, he is safe and secure, and more importantly very happy.
The staff are amazing with him and really care how his day is going. There are many activities which Dad enjoys going to and loves the company of everyone there.
On our first visit to view Kingsacre, we were told 'let us look after your Dad, so when you visit him, it’s a visit' and that’s how it is.

All his needs are looked after by the staff, and he is thriving at Kingsacre.

Moving our mum to care was one of the hardest decisions we ever had to make, but the minute we met with the manager to discuss we knew it was the right decision and place for our mum. Mum settled quickly and is thriving with the constant support, stimulation and activities from the team at Kingsacre. She is loving all the amazing home-cooked meals and for us, the consistency and ensuring her medication is right and on time is also making such a difference to her health. We are so grateful to have got Mum in here and as I have always been so involved in her care I always found it hard to pass this on to anyone else but know she is in great care and well looked after here.

My mum spent her last days in Kingacre. I found the staff care and compassion outstanding. They not only looked after my mum with kindness and dignity, but they also looked after us as we sat with her. I am pleased that my mum passed in a warm, comfortable environment with family and caring staff around her.

I looked at several nursing homes before choosing Kingsacre nursing home for my wife. The other nursing homes didn't even come close to being considered. The manager gave me a tour of the nursing home and answered all my questions as she was talking to me. My wife has been a resident in Kingsacre for 10 months and the care that the staff provide is excellent. The staff keep me updated on my wife's condition and let me know if my wife requires anything. I could not have chosen a better place for my wife to be cared for at the end of her days.

An amazing place. The manager ensured that all of my mum's needs and requirements were met before going into the care home and this gave me great peace of mind. The staff are excellent and provide personal care and attention with a personal touch.

The care home facilities are fantastic and to a very high standard. My mum's overall health has improved since arriving at Kingsacre and this is due to the love, care and attention and good food that she has received. Thank you Kingsacre.

Where do I start? Making the decision of having to hand over the care of our precious dad was one of the hardest decisions we ever made. Months of guilt consumed me at the thought of it but I couldn't provide the care myself anymore. But in the end, I had absolutely nothing to worry about. My dad received palliative care here for the last 3 months of his life and the love and care shown to him and us as a family was nothing short of outstanding. The way they interacted with him, had a laugh with him, cared for him with so much dignity and respect are things we can never thank you all enough for. We will never forget you all. Thank you so much. What a beautiful bunch of people!

Nice glossy brochure, magnificent sales pitch by the home’s manager on-site and again at my mother’s home regarding dementia patients. Unfortunately, my late mother’s care and well-being at their hands was the complete opposite. Reality is different from fiction.

Read Care Commission’s report, before placing a loved one here. The home will reply to this review at the mention of CC Report. Strange that on the day and since my late mother was taken away by ambulance we have never had one phone call from them, it was as if she was never there! Poor nursing, poor communication, poor management.

My aunt has been a resident now for 18 months and I cannot fault this establishment in any way. The building is well equipped, clean and homely. The staff consistently go above and beyond for every resident and their family. My young children are made welcome by staff and residents. The staff deal with matters with dignity and respect no matter how busy they are. I honestly don’t know how they do it, it’s a job I couldn’t do.

The fundamental standards of care provided by Kingsacre are questionable after seeing the care my grandmother received during her stay. Please contact the care commission for their 2022 report regarding Kingsacre prior to thinking of admitting a loved one here. I would have preferred the option to have selected a no stars rating as this is more in line with my opinion of Kingsacre.

I would give no stars if that option was available. Due to the standard of care given to my mother during her very short stay in this care home. I would advise contacting the care inspectorate for their most recent report regarding this care home before admitting a loved family member to their care.
