My dad was a resident for a few months at Kingsacre. During his stay, my dad was cared for with the utmost respect and compassion. Even when my dad's care needed changing the staff never failed him or myself.
All the staff are amazing, but a special thanks to all who really went above and beyond to make my dad's last days comfortable.

As a nurse myself I would highly recommend Kingsacre Care Home.

My dad has been in Kingsacre Care Home for a year and I am delighted he is in such a fantastic home. All the staff are caring and go above and beyond, my dad has come on so much in the last year. Kingsacre organise lots of activities for the residents and my dad joins in if he is able to, they are very inclusive. Home is always clean and welcoming. What more can I say than I am extremely happy with the care provided to my dad by all the staff. Excellent, keep up the hard work, thank you!

Please, please read the Care Commission report. Placing a parent in a Care Home and entrusting their care to strangers is an extremely difficult decision and we will never forgive ourselves for not choosing elsewhere and for allowing our mum to go into this place.

I would like to apologise that this is the experience that you have had with the care home as this is not what we would hope for as we always strive to do our best. We have worked very closely with the Care Inspectorate to quickly resolve identified areas for improvement. These have now all been...

In the time my mum spent at Kingsacre Care Home the care and attention my mum received was first class, from the carers looking after her to the housekeepers and laundry workers. As a family, we would recommend Kingsacre Care Home to anyone.

I don't live in the UK, it's very hard for myself and family to put Mum into care. I am happy to go home now after seeing how well she is treated. The lounge and dining room are good size, where everyone is included. You can also walk in at any time.

Mum is happy and settled which also gives me peace of mind.
The care Mum received from all the staff is first-class. She is always treated as an individual.

The care home is run very efficiently and we can see the enormous amount of hard work the manager has exerted. Kingsacre is somewhere we would like to call home.

As a family, we are so happy that we have chosen Kingsacre for my husband. He has now been there for about 10 weeks and we have seen a difference in him. The staff are lovely and so caring and my husband needs a lot of attention regarding his needs.

The garden party was fantastic. Well organised, great food and fab singer. The staff was really helpful to all patients and guests. What a great day. Looking forward to the next event. The care home condition is great and all staff is so caring to all patients. My dad has improved since he arrived after many months in hospital. Thank you Kingsacre.

We are delighted with Mum's care here. She is always praising the staff and the food. Our only concern is the high turnover of staff, particularly the manager, 3 in a year, which results in little consistency and we have had little opportunity to get to know everyone. Especially to thank everyone and to discuss Mum's welfare.

Reply from Alan Twigg, Regional Manager at Kingsacre Care Home

My Mum moved to Kingsacre Luxury Suites in October 2019. We, as a family have been very happy with the care and love shown to Mum. As expected it takes time to settle into a new environment and with a diagnosis of dementia and the start of new medication, it really does take time. But, I am happy to say Mum is settled in and the Kingacre staff are an extended family. It's a beautiful care home, lovely ensuite rooms, good facilities, plenty of good food and snacks, a gorgeous setting and a great team of professional staff.

The amount of staff, especially managers who have left since my mother moved into Kingsacre Care Home makes me wonder just what is going on in the care home. For one manager to leave only a couple of months after starting especially after stating that they were going nowhere beggars belief.

My mum was very fortunate to be allocated a place at Kingsacre in early December 2020, I can’t thank the staff enough for the amazing care and attention she receives. She is absolutely thriving in her new wee home and seems very happy and settled which is very comforting for us.
Weekly updates from management and the ‘Family Surgery’ afternoon are a great practice of keeping us informed on how our loved ones are doing and the little Facebook updates on fun activities are great to see! In addition, the care staff are excellent at filling me in on my mum’s daily well-being, shenanigans and activities inc. bingo, yoga, cinema, cake making whenever I call, which is very heartening.

Kingsacre has readily accommodated any small request/query we’ve had and we look forward to inside visiting, hopefully in the not too distant future.

My sister went into Kingsacre at the start of July. I am pleased to say she settled well into her new home surroundings. The staff are welcoming, keep her motivated active and have made her feel happy. Communication is great and I am kept up to date with all of my sisters' routines. My sister has not been there long but straight away I knew she would be happy and well looked after. There is so much stimulation from Bingo, coloring, TV, dominos, singing and dancing, all of the things she loves to do. I look forward to when the doors will be open for me to visit inside.

Our father was very fortunate to be allocated a place in Kingsacre a few weeks after it opened in 2019. Like any new environment, it took him a good few weeks to actually settle. During that period, our family witnessed genuine acts of kindness and professionalism from every single member of staff. The ‘Open Door’ policy was particularly helpful in those early days and enabled us to form lasting relationships with the team. The quality of the accommodation is 5* - from the bedrooms to the common areas. Pre Covid19, there were daily activities tailored, where possible, to the interests of the residents. Parties were arranged for birthdays, Easter, Halloween, Christmas etc and an invitation was always extended to family members. We have some fabulous photos showing dad enjoying himself. In summary, Kingsacre is a wonderful care home with amazing staff. Dad has been at his happiest this past year and now regards Kingsacre as his home and the staff his extended family.
