Family updated me of his move to Lake View Lodge and what a great decision they made! Beautiful place, AMAZING staff, what a blast with the entertainment they bring to the home and honestly could not be happier to assist! Fathers day BBQ was lovely.
Grandad isn't one to faf or be pestered but everyone knows him well and takes great, great care of him, even when he's being stubborn hahaha. It's been a pure joy to visit him and honestly so grateful to be going back to Australia knowing he is in very good hands! Had many a laugh and so happy to see him in such good care.
Really appreciate everyone there and give yourselves a pat on the back for David ;) An absolute sweetheart but just can't be told hahaha. TY
Thankyou so much for you kind review. We are delighted to hear you had such as positive experience during your visit. We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment and providing the highest standard of care. Thankyou for your kind words which are greatly appreciated and will be shared with the team. Thankyou for placing your trust in us
We've just been celebrating mum's 90th birthday at Lake View Lodge. The staff, cake and setting were amazing. My mum has only been there few months. The place is like a five star hotel but most of all my mum is happy there. Thank you to all that work there.
Thankyou for your kind and positive review. We are delighted to hear that her birthday celebrations went so well. Your kind words have been greatly appreciated by our team.
I cannot praise highly enough the very high standard of every aspect of this establishment. Clearly, the staff are selected with enormous care and demonstrate outstanding courtesy and respect, combined with professionalism and great kindness. Nothing is too much trouble! My sister is in full possession of her mental faculties and appreciates the very high standards she sees throughout the day (and night). She says she is very happy and content here.
Every one of the staff from the admin team to the nurses and catering team were all fabulous.
Should my dad need a permanent home or more respite, we shall return!
The upbeat attitude shown by the staff clearly impacts the residents who appear to respond in a positive way.
Thank you for your kind review. We're delighted to hear that the upbeat attitude of our staff makes a positive impact on our residents. Creating a warm, encouraging environment is very important to us. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback
Having recently moved mum into Lake View Lodge, I can say it was the best move. Her previous care home had gone downhill rapidly. Lake View is very much like a first class hotel and in no way looks like a care home. I have found everyone so welcoming and the care given to mum is exemplary. The oyster care home group certainly have the correct ethos. Everything is included, there are no hidden extras, no restricted meatimes. Relatives can visit anytime. Brilliant place. Thank you.
Our team works hard to create a warm, welcoming environment that feels more like a home-from-home than a traditional care...
My Mother has been in this home for 4 months. The facilities are excellent. The staff very caring. The food is superb. A good range of activities arranged for residents. What more could one ask for. Can't recommend it more highly.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. We're delighted to hear that your mother has settled in well and that you're pleased with our facilities, staff, food, and activities. Our team works hard to create a welcoming and supportive environment, and it means a great deal to know we're meeting your expectations.
My dear wife has been at Lakeview Lodge for the last 6 weeks and the care for her has been outstanding. From the moment she arrived the management and staff have treated the family with kindness, respect and dignity. My wife has received such genuine compassion and I could not have wanted more for her. Everyone of the staff have gone above and beyond for her comfort, dignity and happiness. Thank you all so very much.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It really is a pleasure to have you both as part of the Lakeview family.
Welcoming helpful friendly staff, clean and smelt nice in every part of the building I went in, resident I visited is so happy and comfortable she said she was worried she would miss her home but loves it here and feels very safe and wants for nothing.
Thank you so much for leaving us a lovely review. We are so glad to hear that your friend has settled so well into Lake View Lodge and feels safe in her new home. We look forward to welcoming you again, next time you visit.
The meals are cooked by a chef, and are delicious. I can say that because I had lunch with Mum on Fish & Chip Friday, which is another lovely touch.
Mum's room is spacious, has an en-suite and has a wonderful view over the lake.
I cannot recommend Lake View enough!
Thank you so much for leaving us such a lovely review. We are so glad that your mum has settled so quickly and feels at home. It's great to hear that she is enjoying our chefs home cooked food too. Fish and chip Friday is a favourite!
I visited my mum today, was treated to freshly cooked scones cream & jam whist visiting. The carers were so kind, couldn't do enough for me and mum. Since living there, mum is looking so much healthier and happier. We were once worried about her weight having lost so much but the chef and staff has turned this around in no time.. so very pleased, thank you

from the moment Mum moved into Lake View Lodge, She was treated with kindness and compassion. The staff and facilities are fantastic and the difference in Mum has been amazing. In just a week, she has become more alert, eating wonderfully prepared food and joining in with organised activities. I cannot thank all the staff enough for the personalised care Mum is receiving and the friendly welcome they have given to myself and Mum's family.

When visiting my Grandma, the staff have always been friendly and accommodating (and constantly feeding me cake). The facilities are absolutely fantastic and highly overachieve in comparison to other homes I've visited! The care customers receive is amazing and my Grandma has been happy whenever I've visited. The rooms are equal to a 5 star hotel stay. I would highly recommend their services to any and all who need it.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. We are so pleased that your Grandma is happy and we are so pleased that you enjoy visiting. We look forward to welcoming you to the home with some cake soon!
I find my room to be very comfortable and adequate for my needs. I would recommend Oyster Homes to any enquirer.

Came into this wonderful care home after a knee operation. The care and kindness shown to me was unbelievable which has helped with my recovery. Thank you Oyster Care Home what would I have done without you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a glowing review. You have been sorely missed since returning home but we are so glad your recovery has been so successful. Please don't be a stranger, we would love to welcome you back to Lakeview Lodge again soon!

With a fun and positive approach to life, Sally looks forward to making the future residents of Lake View Lodge smile every day she’s on duty. She believes life is too short not to enjoy it.
After leaving school, Sally began her career at Thanet Technical College in Broadstairs, where she earned City & Guilds qualifications in General Catering, Hotel Reception, and Housekeeping.
Her career took off in London hotels, initially working in reservations and later transitioning into accounts. Over time, her journey led her to Nursing and Dementia Care Homes, where she started as an Administrator and ultimately progressed to Hospitality Manager.
Outside of work, Sally keeps busy with an allotment she and her husband took over a year ago. They’ve already grown vegetables and raspberries – a rewarding experience for both! Recently, they also adopted two very playful kittens who keep them on their toes and bring much joy to their home.

Dan has been part of the care industry since the age of 18, beginning his journey as a kitchen assistant while studying at Westminster College. Over the years, he has worked his way up to Head Chef, gaining valuable experience across various care companies and witnessing first-hand how food in the sector has evolved—a change he finds refreshing and inspiring to be part of.
Dan believes that everyone enjoys good food, and care home residents are no different. That’s why listening to them is so important. He is passionate about delivering well-presented, home-cooked meals that not only meet nutritional needs but also spark memories and bring joy. For many, mealtimes are the highlight of the day—a chance to relax, socialise, and enjoy a great meal and perhaps even a glass of wine. Getting these moments right is a top priority for Dan and his team at Lake View Lodge.
In a previous role, Dan’s team reached the finals for ‘Team of the Year’ at a national awards ceremony in London—an achievement he’s immensely proud of, especially as it came within the first three months of the home opening.
Outside of work, Dan is a devoted West Ham United fan and enjoys boxing. He’s also a proud father of five, one of whom is training to become a chef—much to his delight. He shares his home life with his beloved show cocker spaniel, Benny.
