Such a beautiful care home, it's like a hotel, decor is great. Staf are outstanding, we love visiting. Entertainment is fantastic for everyone so much to keep them going and involved in lots of activities. A member of staff welcomes you in with such a lovely smile. The senior manager, and got so much
energy and helps everyone always there for everyone help to join in with everything, smiles and a very happy person she is in the right job.

I cannot fault this care home. My mum is on the memory floor where the staff are wonderful. All the staff are so welcoming, caring and friendly. The decor is like a 5* hotel and my mum comments on the good food. There is a bistro area where we can take her for a drink and cake. The activities are brilliant,
as are all the facilities(cinema, hair salon etc). I like the fact that they have put pictures up on the wall for her. She is well cared for both medically and personally. I feel she is very safe and in good hands. The lady in charge of the memory floor is outstandingly good at her job. The whole place feels like home and has a lovely calm atmosphere.

We would like to thank the staff at Lea Grange for making a difficult couple of months for my mother that bit easier. We had lots of questions before and during her admission and these were patiently answered. We appreciated all the support we were given as Mum moved in. Mum is now settled and speaks
highly of both the care and nursing teams. She is also a fan of the good food. It all helps put our minds at rest that she is being well looked after.

Staff have been helpful getting my dad into the routine of residential care. All staff have been friendly and responsive to both his needs and ours as relatives.

I came for respite care following an operation. I found the staff very caring and supportive. The facilities are excellent, my only gripe, and I do realise the difficulty the kitchen have providing food for three restaurants, but often the food was overcooked, making it hard and more solid than should
be. Portion size was fine. Condiments other than salt and pepper not available. Overall, I found Lea Grange, which is only 3/4 of a mile from where I live, the best option in the area. Just a few tweaks and it would be excellent.

Lea Grange is a 5 star hotel, I can't praise it enough. Being beautifully furnished throughout. All features and fittings supplied by top brands, with no expense spared. A very comfortable hotel. The staff are very attentive and happy and helpful.

Dad moved into Harpenden this month. The staff have made him very welcome and he has settled in very easily. The care has been very good so far, and addressed all my questions very efficiently. I am very happy with the home, which has exceeded my expectations.

Excellent service, peaceful and befitting to end of life.
The palliative care was second to none, we were fortunate to have husband, father, grandfather taken into the care of Lea Grange.
The staff were amazing, caring and respectful throughout the end of life care, as a family we could not fault
any of the services provided.

Mum was very comfortable staying over the Christmas period. The staff were very friendly and caring and mum was very safe and well cared for. She only had breakfast and was with family during the day so did not really take part in any activities. Thank you for your care and kindness. Happy New Year.

I cannot express enough how grateful we are to have had the pleasure of the staff at Lea Grange Care Home.
The care and respect my father and family members received from the moment our father was accepted into the care of the staff and home was amazing.
During palliative care, my father was in the
best place, where the staff were attentive, and surrounded by his family in a quiet peaceful environment, till my father's passing.
I cannot thank the people who took care of our father and also the family members who also needed support during this difficult time.

My wife needs respite care to overcome recurrent falls and a spell in hospital. Lea Grange Care Home has been totally outstanding in providing this care. The facilities are new and second to none. The staff, including the management team, have gone out of their way to be helpful. The food is tempting
and well presented and the activities organisers have gone out of their way to involve my wife and accommodate her disabilities. Overall 10 out of 10 with no reservation.

Having cared for my mother for 17 years, I have first-hand experience looking after individuals living with dementia, and I know how important finding the right care for a loved one is.


I am happily married and have three wonderful sons, and we all enjoy going on holiday and spending time together socialising and entertaining. I am very much a people person and like building relationships. I am also a keen horse lover!
