Wiltshire Heights Care Home

from Hilary G (Respite Resident) published on 19 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My husband goes for Respite, they look after him very well especially as he has medical and physical issues. I am extremely happy with his care and would not leave him if that wasn't so. Staff are friendly and we are treated as part of the family. They encourage him to take part in the activities and
to join in with the many things they put on for the residents. I can't speak highly enough about the people or the care home. Which is why I picked Wiltshire Heights.

Mum has been in Bourne Wood for 2 1/2 years now and is so much happier and healthier than if she had stayed at home on her own. She tries to join in activities but advancing years and poor health make it hard however the staff really encourage her and she loves all the interactions with them. It's a
great home with lovely staff all of whom deserve praise. All of them from admin to carer will muck in and help which is lovely to see.

The care that my mother received has been way above and beyond my expectations. The staff are truly wonderful, compassionate and it can be seen clearly in their eyes how upset they have been at the treatment my mother received in her previous care facility. Virtually starving from lack of help she ate
a 3 course meal when she arrived here and enjoyed a bath. She trusted the staff immediately on arrival. I cannot thank the staff enough for their warm welcome and support for both my mother and me.

Upton Mill Care Home

from Jane K (Daughter of Resident) published on 7 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

My mother lived at Upton Mill for 5 months before she died there. The carers were brilliant - with one or two exceptions, they were kind, efficient, took great care, they loved mum. The care home enabled my sister and I to stay 24/7 with Mum in her last days. All the staff were friendly, supportive
and caring. They all knew Mum's name and treated her respectfully. We never regretted choosing Upton Mill. Our 2 concerns were 1) using district nurses and 2) very expensive compared with the wages carers were paid.

Reply from Alyson Day, Home Manager at Upton Mill Care Home

After two months stay in hospital in February and March, my wife found this residential care home in Marlborough to facilitate my recuperation from the effects of double pneumonia and sepsis.
We are fortunate indeed to have found Savernake View Care Home here in Marlborough and I have been here for
the last three months. I am both impressed and encouraged....
The expert team here have been extremely kind and considerate enabling me to progress from being bedbound in April when I arrived to being almost completely mobile and walking by the end of this July 2025.
It is my hope to be able to move back into my own home and I am close to achieving this, due to the all-round expertise of nurses, carers and management as well as first-class facilities provided in this purpose built care home. There is capacity for 68 residents with varying needs; great facilities here including a cinema and extensive but secure gardens.
Highly recommend!

My Father has been a resident at Chiltern Grange for a year now. He has Alzheimer's.
All the staff there are wonderful, every time we arrive we are met by happy smiling polite members of staff, who ask how we are and are willing to help us straight away.
The level of care, patience and compassion
my dad receives is incredible, the food is always delicious and the place is spotlessly clean.
When someone you love has this condition and you have to hand them over to strangers to be cared for it can be very distressing, but because of the care he is receiving we can all relax a bit. It really is so comforting for me, my dad's wife, his granddaughter, all the rest of my dad's family and his close friends, who visit on a regular basis.
I cannot thank every member of staff at Chiltern Grange enough for being the team they are.
Xxxx

My husband was a resident on the Dementia floor of Chiltern Grange recently. He was treated with care and compassion by all members of staff and all his needs met promptly. Our family were able to be involved with all aspects of his care at all times. In essence the care at Chiltern Grange is exemplary

Over the past year, whenever we have visited our friend here, he has seemed increasingly comfortable and 'at home' and as visitors we too feel very at ease and welcome in the relaxed atmosphere such that we positively look forward to our regular visits. The staff are so attentive and, most importantly,
kind and patient in their care.

My brother sufferers from Alzheimer's and mercifully my sister in law found Chiltern Grange .
The staff are exceptional people ! Nothing is too much trouble.
The building is tastefully furnished and you truly feel like you are in a hotel rather than a care home !
The meals are outstanding and the
attention to detail in the restaurant is so uplifting for the clients but their families too - flowers on the tables to name a few extra things that make it special .
I can sleep at night knowing my beloved brother is being well cared for and no harm will come to him in their care .
I only wish I was closer in distance to visit him more often .
A million thank you's to all the staff !

Lincroft Meadow Care Home

from E W (Daughter of Resident) published on 31 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Our mum was a resident at Lincroft Meadow for almost 4 years. Throughout her stay, she was met with kindness, care and respect. Her ability to join in with activities was limited but she enjoyed the musical ones and the church services in particular. Taking the decision to move Mum from her home
to Lincroft was extremely difficult but we do not think she could have been in a better place as the impact of Alzheimers and her nursing needs were understood and met. As relatives, we were always welcome and kept up to date with any changes in her care and routines. The staff were friendly and professional and we appreciated the consistency in the management and nursing teams. Prior to her death Mum was treated with compassion and dignity and we are so grateful for the support and understanding that we received. We will miss our visits there.

Cavell Park Care Home

from Philip H (Husband of Resident) published on 28 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I find Cavell Park a really good nursing home, the management and staff are all very helpful and caring, although my wife has been there for two months, she is treated like one of the family and is loved by everyone. As I write this, the weather is very hot (33 degrees), and although my wife has a fan
supplied by the family, could the rooms not be fitted with fans for such a modern nursing home?

Reply from Gemma Fryer, Home Manager at Cavell Park Care Home

Thank you for leaving such a wonderful review, we really appreciate your kind words. We're so glad your wife feels at home here at Cavell Park. We appreciate your point about the heat and will certainly look into the possibility of fitting fans in rooms to ensure everyone stays comfortable during hot weather. Your input is valued and helps us improve.

My overall experience was very good, made to feel very comfortable. My only criticism is that the gardens look very tired and need tending to a lot more. The rooms are very nicely decorated and clean.

Reply from Gem, Hom at Cavell Park Care Home
