Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
From my very first approach and visit to Bourne Wood Manor Care Home I received the best advice, kindness and help as to how I could introduce my friend, who lived alone, to the fact that she needed to be in a safe environment due to rapid deterioration of Alzheimers despite her young age. The initial
contact and care that was taken throughout the whole process was just excellent and so very caring, the best interaction I could ever have hoped for. We were so welcomed and arrangements were made as swiftly as possible for care to commence at the earliest opportunity. The whole team at BWM Care Home are so engaged, kind, caring, empathetic and considerate of both the incoming resident as well as the carer who carried the responsibility. My friend is in a wonderful home with beautiful gardens, great facilities and activities which are all kept to the highest standard but most importantly she is being so well cared for and is safe.

Mum has been staying at Wiltshire Heights since the end of July and initially she was very unhappy to leave her home. Sadly we lost Dad at the same time so she had a lot of difficult changes all at once. It has taken a little while, but she is now much more settled and happy in her new environment and
constantly says how lovely the staff are.

Woodland Manor Care Home held a World Food Day with a Turkish theme, complete with traditional music and dance. The food as ever was simply delicious, a good selection of traditional Turkish dishes which were enjoyed by all in attendance. The combination of traditional music and dancer worked well with
plenty of enthusiastic engagement by residents and visitors alike resulting in dancing, drum beating, clapping and a lot of smiling faces. In all a very well organised activity that proved to be popular with a good attendance by residents, all of which was well supported by staff and visitors. Thanks Woodlands for an uplifting afternoon!

On every visit, each member makes every effort to be cheerful, friendly and accommodating. The food appears to be of a very high standard. The entertainment, activities and facilities have been many and varied but are currently reduced due to staff shortages. I imagine this will be rectified in the
near future.
I would happily recommend the Lea Grange.

My wife was a resident at Avondale for 18+ months up to July 2025. Putting someone so close into care brings many extreme emotions and concerns. Avondale could not have handled our situation better. With respect, dignity and warmth. During this time, not only did they make my wife feel at home, but
they became a home from home for my family and I too. The people there are a credit to themselves. Management, staff and carers have become our friends. When my wife passed away, I felt a gratitude that her last days were spent in these surroundings. I will be eternally grateful.

During 1st few days I felt immersed in love, care, and support shown to residents by carers; they seem very happy amongst themselves. I am aware of the love, good humour, dignity shown to more frail residents who thrive on that extra individual support. I have watched 3 team leaders serve restaurant
food and also give medications so carefully, to come to monitor my left leg recovery daily re the hematoma that brought me here for respite care. One recently called in 'out of hours' nurse - excellent care.
I enjoy the 2x weekly exercise sessions; I enjoy the lovely garden - and playing grand piano. I'd happily play Christmas carols for residents, if invited. From assessment until now, I have realised good organisation by managers. If I need care in future I would happily live here if you would consider me.

My dad had been in Haddon Hall for 3 years. He was suffering from the later stages of Alzheimer's but I can honestly say that these last 3 years have been some of the best in his Alzheimer's journey.
From the very first day, I have had nothing but peace of mind that he was safe, loved and well cared
for. All the stress I'd had prior to him moving to Haddon Hall disappeared overnight, leaving me free to just enjoy being with him, take him out and have fun.
The care in Haddon Hall is exemplary and I couldn't have chosen a better place for him be for his last few years of life. Every member of staff from kitchen staff, housekeepers, maintenance staff, activity staff, receptionists, carers and managers are all wonderful with every resident and visitor showing compassion and kindness at all times. It's been such a joy being part of the Haddon Hall community.
I couldn't have wished for a better end of life for my Dad. The nurses and staff looked after both me and Dad with such grace and dignity. He died so very peacefully in his home surrounded by all his Haddon Hall family and myself.

Wiltshire Heights Care Home

My parents have been at Wiltshire Heights since the beginning of the year. They have really benefited from the consistent care provided. The rooms, particularly the communal ones are light, airy and beautifully decorated, with a lovely outlook onto the gardens which have an Italian feel to them. The
garden is easily accessible from the residents rooms; my parents have loved sitting out there this summer. They have just celebrated a big wedding anniversary and were absolutely delighted by the party Wiltshire Heights put on for them. It was very special to share this celebration with some of our family, recent neighbor's and one or two very old family friends with what feel like our new friends at Wiltshire Heights. Thank you.

Everyone here not only gives excellent care to residents, but make family and friends feel at home. Each person is treated as an invidual and staff treat them very well. No task or request seems to much trouble. It doesnt feel like a care home, not institutional, more like a comfy hotel. Everyone is
so patient and if there isn't something on the menu that Mum facnies, the kitchen staff always accomodate. I highly recommend.

Mum spent the last 9 months of her life at Lea Grange. It was a difficult time as she suffered from severe vascular dementia but the staff were unfailingly kind and caring and we always had a warm reception. Would recommend unreservedly.

Our mother was living in her own home (with support) until her Alzheimer's, combined with a hospital admission for double pneumonia made full time care necessary 24/7 at the start of 2025.

She came to Savernake View on a respite contract to see how she did. She transitioned well.

All the nuts

and bolts of life are dealt with and I live locally, so can pop in any time (which I do). Mum is capable of accessing all of the entertainment, mini bus trips and exercise opportunities. The staff make sure she is well occupied. She is content.

She would always say she wanted to stay in her own home, but in reality, she is much better off at Savernake View where there is lots going on. It is fresh, modern and sociable. The staff are friendly and kind. My brother and sister like to visit (they live further away) and enjoy taking her out to Savernake Forest and into town, where there are many good coffee shops and lunch venues. She recently turned 95 and her cake was amazing!

My mother was a resident for 2.5 years and from day 1 she felt loved by everybody. Sadly passed away in the first week of October. Thank you all for being so kind, patient and understanding to a grand old lady of 102 years. She didn't mix with many people due to her ongoing dementia but formed a close
bond with a few of the carers and other staff. Mum didnt join in many of the activities, probably due to her illness and deafness, but she was happy to the very end for which we are truly grateful.

My brother moved into Wiltshire Heights about 6 months ago, as he was no longer able to care for himself. We were impressed by the care and attention provided by all the staff to make him feel welcome and settled. Indeed, the same warm support provided by the whole team at Wiltshire Heights has been
in evidence over the subsequent months. The organisation of day trips out and the occasional garden parties has been beneficial in ensuring that his life is not spent entirely within the four walls of his room. My husband, sister, and I are all delighted and relieved that we have made the right decision!
