Deer Park Care Home

from J W (Daughter of Resident) published on 20 February 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I have nothing but praise for Deer Park, the welcoming & friendly staff, purpose built facilities, and countless activities available to their residents and regular attendees. Unlike so many care homes, Deer Park permitted Mum to enjoy respite here for a minimum of 1 week at a time. We had attended
some 5 events, which were open to the community, prior to her first stay back in September 2024. This clever business initiative allowed my mum to become familiar with staff and the building prior to her first stay, minimising any feeling of being unsettled, plus reassurance that she was in safe hands. As her needs evolved the first floor (dementia floor) became a better fit for her. Mum made some wonderful friends and always seemed extremely at home whenever we went back for various open events. Catering, reception and housekeeping are all excellent. I would not hesitate in recommending Deer Park to anyone, whether it be respite care or permanent.

My sister and I are very pleased with how quickly our mother has settled in. The staff are very caring and, although mum seemed a little anxious at first, she now seems much more relaxed. It is very reassuring for us that she is receiving the care and support that she deserves at this stage of her life.

Deer Park Care Home

from J H (Son of Resident) published on 17 February 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Deer Park Care Home is a very welcoming place to visit. The first thing that strikes you is the buzz of the cafe or "bistro" where residents and visitors can chat over delicious drinks and biscuits. The facilities are impeccably clean and second to none - from the hairdressing salon to the small cinema
upstairs, the whole place feels more like an upmarket hotel than a care home. I particularly like the many beautifully appointed lounges (of different sizes) scattered throughout the building so that when visiting with family, there is always somewhere to gather.

The staff are unfailingly lovely, caring and professional. They also regularly e-mail round the long list of weekly activities which helps keep everyone informed about events such as films, singing groups and outings.

I have no hesitation in warmly recommending Deer Park if you are looking for a new home for yourself or a loved one.

Tonbridge House Care Home

from J C (Daughter of Resident) published on 17 February 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Tonbridge House have been brilliant since my dad moved in after having had 2 strokes. As a result he needs some nursing care & a team who are very patient when he gets anxious and panicked, & the team are phenomenal at helping him when he is feeling out of sorts. He is encouraged to do lots
of activities, has so many opportunities for day trips out and even helps with some activities (like French lessons!). My dad isn't an 'old' man & at first I was concerned that being in 'a home' would be difficult, but it has been the best decision - more mental stimulus and GP & nurse interaction than ever before. He always looks neat & tidy and his room is beautifully clean every day. On his birthday, the chef did an incredible afternoon tea for him & some of our family in the private dining room. It really meant a lot to us. Despite dad sometimes not understanding about why he needs to be looked after, he is happy and starting to settle very well. The staff are brilliant, very thankful for them.
Reply from Matthew Anstee-Brown, Regional Director at Tonbridge House Care HomeThank you for taking a moment to leave us such a kind review. It is a pleasure and an honour to care for your dad, and I am thrilled to hear you are happy with our home.

Lea Grange Care Home

from S B (Daughter of Resident) published on 16 February 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mum moved into Lea Grange at the end of November and settled in far more quickly than I ever thought she would. From the moment we walked in, it felt warm, calm and genuinely welcoming, which was such a relief.
The care on the Dementia floor has been really positive and responsive. The Dementia Manager
and her team are brilliant and clearly know the residents well. Even before mum moved in, the Customer Services Manager made us feel welcome and supported, which took away so much of the stress around the move.
Mum now joins in with activities, has made friends, and often tells me how much she likes the staff. It also really stands out that wherever we are in the home, staff know mum by name - that personal touch means a lot.
The home is always spotlessly clean and has a relaxed, caring feel. There's clearly a lot of thought and professionalism behind everything they do. As a family, we feel very grateful and reassured knowing mum is safe, happy and well cared for
Reply from Teresa Torres, Home Manager at Lea Grange Care HomeThank you for taking a moment to leave us such heart-warming feedback. It fills me with pride to hear you speak so highly of our team and home. It is a joy to have your lovely mum with us here at Lea Grange.

Lincroft Meadows has been excellent in all respects with the care of my mother. In particualr Suzie, the manager, is incredible in all respects. Mum said that the remainder of the staff are also good. Lincroft Meadow is a diamond!

From the day contacted Lea Grange the staff were helpful, attentive and friendly and this continued throughout my mums stay. They were very helpful in helping with any deliveries my mum received and ensuring she was ready with her hospital appointments.
Overall I would definitely recommend Lea Grange
whether for respite care or longer term care.

Recovering from a hip operation, I could manage to do most things without the help from staff, but even so, there were always staff available and ready to help if need be. Having stayed for 2 weeks, I found the home was well run and have no complaints.

Overall happy with care and general surroundings. The food could be more basic, it can be a little too fine dining for my usual liking. More hearty basic meals would be lovely.

I have been very impressed with the care my dad has received throughout due to the injuries he sustained in the accident meaning broken neck fracture of the spine and head injury and profound deafness. Several hospital visits. They have dealt with everything with care and understanding and supported
me too. If I request something for dad, they promptly deal with it, so thank you.

My mother has dementia and spent 2 months in respite care. The time, energy and care taken to settle into the home and new structure of her days was exceptional. My mother was clearly settled and content in her surroundings. The home played a big part in getting medications improved and better suited
to her condition. My family are very grateful to the staff for making my mother's stay a positive experience.

Father has been here for two months, having moved out of his home of fifty years. After settling into a nice room with a view of the garden, he has enjoyed the experience. The staff are excellent and competent. The food and activities are good, and the common areas good.

I just want to say how amazing all the carers have been since my Grandmother Ruby has come to stay. The family have felt so comfortable knowing she is in good caring hands. Our Grandmother/mother is so precious to us all so it means a lot to us the great care she is getting. I would like to say Ivy-Rose
has been amazing and honestly treats our Ruby as her own family such a kind hearted person and also a massive thanks to Rebecca who I've seen taking good care of our loved one in great respect. Also Jorge and Mary who are always also so kind too. Thank you to Lea Grange for making this hard time in our lives a little easier we appreciate it so much x
Reply from Teresa Torres, Home Manager at Lea Grange Care HomeThank you for your five-star feedback. It is a joy to have your grandmother with us, and we cherish her greatly. I will be sure to pass your feedback on to the named individuals, who I have no doubt will appreciate your kind words greatly.

With huge help from management we were able to transfer our mother to Woodland Manor from Hospital after a months long stay. The staff welcomed here and she settled into a beautifully appointed room. Nothing is too much trouble and our mother has 24.7 care which is exemplary.
