I am so glad that I that I found Lavender Oaks for my mum. The care she receives is exemplary. All of the staff in all departments care deeply for the residents and go out of their way to engage with them so helping with their wellbeing. I would thoroughly recommend Lavender Oaks to anyone looking for
a care home for a loved one.

We couldn't have asked for better support during what was a difficult transition from hospital into care. The team were incredibly supportive of us as a family throughout the whole process, making everything feel much easier and reassuring.


The care my father has received has been outstanding. He

has settled in remarkably well, which is a real testament to the kindness and dedication of the staff. Everyone is so warm, friendly, and genuinely caring-it really shows in how comfortable and happy he is.


The home itself is thoughtfully laid out, creating a calm and welcoming environment, and his bedroom feels truly homely and personal. We feel very grateful to have found such a wonderful place.

We have used Barley Manor when care required for Mum during 2024/25 and 26, plus 2 weeks respite for my late Dad in 2025. The welcoming, kind and caring nature of staff, along with lovely environment, fantastic meals, companionship and varied activities have made their stays relaxing and enjoyable.
Nothing is too much trouble. I highly recommend Barley Manor.

Father came in initially on respite and subsequently chose to stay. Staff and care is excellent with fantastic patience with my father. Everyone is welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much. We chose this home having had my mother here previously and would recommend going forward.

My Mum came to Barley Manor for respite care following a hip replacement. From the administration, catering team, through to the carers, the staff were always friendly, caring and helpful. Charli the floor manager was super helpful on Mum's transition back to her own home ensuring, she had the required
supply of medication and re-registered her back to her own GP surgery. As family we were grateful for their care of Mum

Grandma turned 100 on 18th March, and all the staff at Wiltshire Heights made a great fuss of her! They arranged a super lunch for her and our family on her actual birthday. They also helped us plan a bigger family party for her a few days before. The food was incredible, and the staff pulled out all
the stops. Thank you so much for making her feel special!

Our relative, in Wiltshire Heights on respite care was thoroughly spoiled. She enjoyed the comfortable views from her large clean window - of squirrels and bird life, trees, shrubs and bushes. Her room was clean and had every convenience. She resented in her armchair and guests made welcome in a soft
chair also. Though she found the bed a little uncomfortable she understood the need for a sanitised option and doesn't sleep well generally anyway. The bathroom was hygenic and easy to use, plenty of storage space. The staff at Wiltshire Heights must be praised for kindness for caring, for treating individuals with respect and dignity. Nothing was too much trouble. Our relative enjoyed the meals and joined in poetry activity.

When I have visited my father-in-law I have been pleased to see him happy in a safe, caring environment. He certainly is enjoying the varied activities available to him. The staff I have had dealings with are very friendly & professional.

I feel very happy my grandad is at Cotswold Gate. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and I'm pleased he is being looked after so well. Everywhere is clean and well kept and it is a happy place to be.

Fabulous welcome by warm friendly receptionist. Excellent care and nursing. Very approachable and friendly. Fantastic food. The whole home is centred around the care of the residents. This is apparent as soon as you enter the building. Residents all appear extremely well looked after. Wonderful leisure
and wellness opportunities. The place is beautifully clean.

Mum is well cared for and is now fairly settled and contented at Haddon Hall. Thank you for this. She is very fond of nature and being outside, and so the garden was a great attraction in our selection of a suitable home for her.
Therefore, I was extremely surprised and disappointed to find not a single
spring bulb either planted or in bloom in March. Ports and troughs were untidy and very neglected at a time when Buxton was full of Spring colour elsewhere. It was depressing and dull. Mum is too frail to go far, and a little effort in the Autum could make the garden a place of joy for her and others.

Grandmother is currently residing here and the care she's receiving is brilliant, it's always nice to go in as the home has a warm welcoming feel. The environment, including the gardens (which considering recent weather is very impressive) are in great condition, the staff are friendly and experts

I can only give high praise for the help and care that Upton Mill have shown in organising my mother's move into care during a very stressful time. Extremely professional with a very friendly approach. The home is always clean and welcoming for visitors, we are only a few weeks in and mum is settling
into what she described today as a very busy life. All the staff are absolutely lovely, bringing a lot of joy to everyone.

We could not have wished for such a pleasant, comfortable and welcoming care home. The treatment and care given to my sister were wonderful and dignified. The staff were excellent, both to my sister and family, always welcoming and smiling. Her room was lovely, well-kept and food was of excellent quality.
Nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend Porthaven to anyone. Thank you for your care, especially in her final days, to her and us.

My father was a resident in Lincroft for 3 years. The level of care was appalling. He was admitted to hospital quite a few times, all as a result of dehydration. Terrible level of service especially given he was paying about £2,500 per week!! Shocking!!
