Review of Wiltshire Heights Care Home from Penelope B (Daughter of Resident) published on 5 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Following a serious fall and an extended stay in 2 hospitals Mum has moved to WH for a period of respite care while we assess if she might be able to return home at some stage in the future.

The team at WH have been amazing from the first conversation and throughout Mum's extended stay. They have been totally on the ball - proactive, flexible, supportive, communicative with both Mum and me.

The accommodation - rooms, communal areas, restaurants, grounds are all excellent thanks to Charlie, Sally and the housekeeping team.

I would like to call out in particular Jas, Shirley, Rosanne, Donna and India but everyone has been tremendous. I very much hope Mum will stay on permanently at WH because I know she will be safe and well cared for.

Thank you all for everything you have done for both of us and continue to do.

The extensive garden area is peaceful and scenic, and serves as the perfect space for events in good weather. The care home is clean and feels safe for the residents. The meal service is excellent and residents are given a good array of food choices throughout the day. It's accessible for family members & loved ones to visit as they please.

We came down from Edinburgh to see David for his first fathers day in your care home.
Delighted with the festival yesterday and all the staff that I have discussed Davids care have been very attentive and listened to all my requests.
Glad to see him settling, but we miss him very much.

Delighted he's now on the ground floor so he can roam freely.

Staff all prompt and helpful and he loves all the food and drink with his only complaint being that he'd like to heat up his dinner. Staff all very lovely and remember all his stories which is lovely. He really loved the poetry club - only wishes it was on more often.

My mother was extremely well cared for by the kind and caring staff. We were very impressed by the cleanliness of the property; there were no smells at all. As visitors, we were made very welcome, and the entry and exit process was explained clearly. Thank you.

Wiltshire Heights provided respite care for my Mother. She was very reluctant to use any respite service but the team at Wiltshire Heights made her feel welcome and all her needs were met.

The staff were amazing, going above and beyond to provide an excellent service. They were informative to me over the phone on the days I was unable to visit. It was soon apparent the staff truly cared about the clients within the establishment.

Review of Wiltshire Heights Care Home from J M (Wife of Resident) published on 22 May 2026 Submitted via Postal Card

The staff at Wiltshire Heights were all very welcoming when we moved my husband in. They were also very sympathetic on what was an emotional day for us. Since my husband's arrival in Wiltshire Heights, we have been asked many times what more they could do, what more could they provide to help him feel comfortable. We have been very impressed by the professionalism of the nursing staff, the care helpers, and by the friendly efficiency with which the home is run.

Grandma turned 100 on 18th March, and all the staff at Wiltshire Heights made a great fuss of her! They arranged a super lunch for her and our family on her actual birthday. They also helped us plan a bigger family party for her a few days before. The food was incredible, and the staff pulled out all the stops. Thank you so much for making her feel special!

Review of Wiltshire Heights Care Home from J B (Relative of Resident) published on 21 April 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Our relative, in Wiltshire Heights on respite care was thoroughly spoiled. She enjoyed the comfortable views from her large clean window - of squirrels and bird life, trees, shrubs and bushes. Her room was clean and had every convenience. She resented in her armchair and guests made welcome in a soft chair also. Though she found the bed a little uncomfortable she understood the need for a sanitised option and doesn't sleep well generally anyway. The bathroom was hygenic and easy to use, plenty of storage space. The staff at Wiltshire Heights must be praised for kindness for caring, for treating individuals with respect and dignity. Nothing was too much trouble. Our relative enjoyed the meals and joined in poetry activity.

Wiltshire Heights went "above and beyond" to help us celebrate my mother's 100th birthday. They accommodated a large number of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in a really helpful way. They assisted us with catering for the event, and the Head Chef exceeded expectations in the quality and range of catering provided.

I visited a friend in the home and was so happy to see how lovely it was and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The Receptionist offered us coffee and cake after a long journey and it felt really homely. Really glad she is happy and would recommend.

I love Wiltshire Heights my parents are residents there and they are so happy joining in the activities, they love the staff and the food. Their rooms are well maintained and always clean. I often joke with the staff telling them I am moving in. All the staff really care about the residents and I know that my beloved parents are well cared for.

Review of Savernake View Care Home from Lorna W (Daughter of Resident) published on 27 February 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

When looking for a care home for mum, I visited about fifteen places in Gloucester, Cheltenham and surrounding areas. We needed somewhere where mum could have both privacy and company and where she could continue to live a stimulating life with quality care. Savernake View stood out as offering a warm but professional approach to care and mum also felt immediately welcome. Since arriving in September 2025, mum has made new friends, joined book group, been out on numerous visits to places of interest, enjoyed many performances and activities organised by the enthusiastic events team and is rarely at a loss for something to do. Savernake View defies all the stereotypes of a care home; the place is often buzzing with chat between residents and staff and all the staff are warm and positive. Communication with us as a family is excellent; we can rely on the care team to get in touch. Mum is no longer lonely and is enjoying life to the full in a safe place.

Overall Experience
Mum moved to Wiltshire Heights yesterday and I had not had the opportunity to view the home personally beforehand as it all happened so quickly
I was delighted with what I found from the welcome at reception to the tour of The Home and meeting members of staff and some of the residents who all appeared to be very happy indeed. The condition of the furnishing and premises overall I can only describe as excellent. I then went onto To meet with my mother who gave me a beaming smile, something I had not been expecting. Her room was clean tidy and looked as if it had been freshly decorated and the furnishings all appeared as if they were new.

With the available activities and on-site facilities, I have high hopes.
