With local community members using the bistro, Upton Mill feels a lot more like the hub of the local community than a care home

My Aunt has been in this home for 3 years and on the whole it has been very good on all counts. (Only exceptions being on the odd occasions when short staffed).

My experience over the past couple of years, by and large has been great. I believe my dad is cared for, supported and helped by all in a 'family' way. My only negative would be that I do not think there is a huge amount of activities - one a personal basis for my dad regularly. He would love to get out more - very disappointed that when the minibus went out of action - there has been no alternative!

The staff & general facilities are great there is always a warm welcome - special mention the Theresa, who is exceptional & friendly & helpful on reception. Dad says he loves the garden & the food is good. He enjoys the skittles & watching tennis, but not keen on trips out & there is too much walking around (can individual trips out be considered). Thank you to all the caring & kind staff.

My mother required respite care after a fall. The staff from administration to nursing care could have not been more accommodating. On her birthday they sang to her. If my mother did not like the menu the chefs would cook something else for her. Her room is spacious and looks out on to a courtyard garden which is beautifully kept and is calm and peaceful. I feel that my mother is very well looked after and safe in their professional care.

Staff were all really friendly so overall a really positive experience for everyone

Lovely place with lovely staff. My nan has settled in very well. Feel very safe leaving her here. Would recomend for anyone Looking for a care home.

My father in law has been so well looked after and nurtured. The food is excellent. Staff are very friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble for them. He really has been receiving the very best of care. His room is comfortable & v.clean and always smells fresh. The care is first class. From fresh flowers on the dining room tables down to the lovely cafe area with delicious patries & biscuits and help yourself coffees & teas, all well thought out in this beautiful purpose built efficiently run care home.

My mother was a resident at Upton Mill Care Home for over two years, and I cannot speak highly enough of her time there. The staff were more than simply professional, they became genuine friends to her, which meant the world to our family. My sister and I never doubted she was in excellent hands. The home is beautiful with exceptional design. Having looked at numerous places before making our decision, Upton Mill was truly a cut above the rest. I can only offer my highest praise and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking outstanding care for a loved one.

Every employee I had dealings with at Upton Mill over the 2.5 years that my mother and father were residents contributed to me giving a top rating. I would highly recommend Upton Mill for all of residential, nursing and dementia care.
