My mother is well cared for - the variety and quality of entertainment is wonderful and she loves the musicians who come in. She tells us how good the food is (which we can confirm having sampled the cakes and biscuits on offer in the Bistro). She lets us know how kind and caring the staff are, and are on hand and happy to help her with anything at anytime - we know that she is safe and happy at Bourne Wood, which gives us peace of mind.

When visiting, I am consistently impressed by the air of calm efficiency that pervades throughout. My mother-in-law seldom mentions the food to me but the pastries etc. available to visitors are first class. Two of the strongest USP's are, in my view, the beautiful gardens and the variety & standard of activities on offer on a daily basis.

The home and grounds are very peaceful and I love visiting.

Mum moved into Hartfield House in March 2026. This is her first care home and she has settled in so very well. The care and consideration of all the staff is exceptional.

The communication with the management is not existent - they don't even acknowledge emails, GDPR - the management needs training on basic regulations, staff needs training on medication management. The care home told us that they are a nursing home as well - they should look at the residents needs. I can go on and on

The management are very professional and ensure the quality of the home is kept well.

The staff are excellent, especially team leader Sam who gives me a shower every two days and trims my beard. He also solves any problems with my mobile phone.

I came here to visit an old friend, and the lady at reception was ever so welcoming, professional and attentive to all details. She was never stopping picking up the phone, assisting visitors and residents. Tanya provides an excellent service to both residents and visitors, and her attention to detail is superb. She is always with a welcoming smile on her face, and her mannerism is so professional yet so caring and loving. The representation of the care home with her at the front desk is beautifully completed and assured.

It is always clean and immaculate everywhere with fresh flowers each week. The staff are kind and caring. The bistro area is lovely, with access to the garden with lots of seating when the sun shines!

After a stay in hospital, Bourne Wood was a brilliant choice for the care for my mother in law. All staff are wonderful and have made her feel at home.

My husband's care has been wonderful. The staff are always on hand to look after him, and anything we ask is dealt with immediately, which is incredibly reassuring.

All staff are friendly, helpful and caring. Rooms/bathrooms are furnished to a simple but high standard. Food quality is very good and sufficiently varied to suit most tastes.

We couldn't have asked for better support during what was a difficult transition from hospital into care. The team were incredibly supportive of us as a family throughout the whole process, making everything feel much easier and reassuring.

The care my father has received has been outstanding. He has settled in remarkably well, which is a real testament to the kindness and dedication of the staff. Everyone is so warm, friendly, and genuinely caring-it really shows in how comfortable and happy he is.

The home itself is thoughtfully laid out, creating a calm and welcoming environment, and his bedroom feels truly homely and personal. We feel very grateful to have found such a wonderful place.

Grandmother is currently residing here and the care she's receiving is brilliant, it's always nice to go in as the home has a warm welcoming feel. The environment, including the gardens (which considering recent weather is very impressive) are in great condition, the staff are friendly and experts in creating a community feel that is truly fantastic!

My husband has been here since just before Christmas and I have found all the staff at Bourne Wood extremeley kind and supportive. Nothing is too much trouble and I know he is being very well looked after.

The staff have been so helpful in getting my sister settled after a hard move for her coping with her early onset dementia. Hopefully with their ongoing care, stimulation and surroundings, she will thrive in her new home.

Mum came to Bourne Wood for respitecare and felt so comfortable and well looked after and the added caring care at the touch of a button decided to stay. She looks well now and is relaxed it has been a good decision.
