Verry happy that this is mums home. The staff are so kind and mum genunely likes them and the other residents living in her part of the home. She enjoys the activites and Mags and Barbara are fantastic. Thank you!

my mother has only been here for 2 weeks, but honestly it has been amazing. She came in not looking herself and now looks 100% better Staff are lovely, and carmen has been so supportive.

My grandma was with Woodlands for her final 2.5 years. During those years, she was treated with such respect and dignity as was the family. Having previously been at a setting where we were checking on her daily it was a relief to have found somewhere we could trust and call her home. My grandma had advanced dementia but was treated no differently to anyone else and was inc on all outings and activities, when the time came they helped me to prepare and were so kind to me and my grandma, unfortunately my parents were away so the woodlands staff made sure I was not alone, I can't thank them enough for the support they gave us- Navigating through a dementia journey is exceptionally challenging but Woodlands were there to support us.

We danced along to an Abba song and sang along with the Beatles and Frank Sinatra! Veronica smiled and laughed. What a joy. Thank you, everyone and to the team - you rock!

I came to visit my mum this afternoon, and she was sitting in her favourite place on the first floor balcony with a huge grin on her face. She had been listening to some music being played in the garden below, for BBQ afternoon. She said it was really lovely. My mum has dementia and is very challenging most of the time. It was lovely to find her so relaxed and really enjoying herself. As I missed the BBQ, Sabina very kindly got me some wraps and cake. Not only is my mum looked after really well, but so am I! It makes all the difference. The staff are always there to help and to listen, which is such a huge help. I don't feel alone.

I know the care sector very well. As I also have disabled children, where the care has been abysmal in care placements.

I have to say the staff have been very supportive of my mother's needs, always very welcoming.

It is very clean also, which shows the standard of care, smells nice and clean, lovely food options available, over and above and access to great activities, creating an inclusive atmosphere.

Aged 89, I have just returned home after a 9 week stay in Elizabeth Gardens following hospitalisation in Spain with a broken wrist. The thought of staying in a care home worried me, but being weak and temporarily disabled I felt I had no choice. In the event, the experience was most enjoyable and I felt sorry to leave. The staff were wonderful, and with facilities such as the gym I was able to work my way back to being fully independent again. Being a stickler for timekeeping, my only complaint is that meals were frequently delayed beyond the advertised time. However, the food when it did arrive was always good.

Easy to settle in to a new way of life. Like living in a small hotel.

From the moment we engaged with Elizabeth Gardens the team were nothing but professional, helpful and more importantly caring.

We knew just by seeing the care level at the home and warmness of staff that that this was the right place for dad.

A huge thank you to the team, particularly the client service manager for their support in making this move possible.

We were looking for somewhere for my sister for respite care following emergency major surgery. When she arrived she needed help with most things but within a week she was able to walk, shower and do normal day to day things herself. The care given was exceptional. The home itself is exceptional and of a high standard. I am so grateful to have found this place and would highly recommend it to anyone.

So far so very good. Margery came here 8 days ago and we didn't know what to expect.Carmen steered us through with skills and compassion. We have been impressed with all the cares and how they have drawn Margery into the "family". Ask me again in a months time.

I was very wary at coming to a care home, but after 5 weeks in hospital I couldn't walk unaided and was very weak. The care home has given me confidence back and looked after me excellently. I cannot thank them enough. You certainly have changed my opinion on care homes. Keep up the good work.

Father came in initially on respite and subsequently chose to stay. Staff and care is excellent with fantastic patience with my father. Everyone is welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much. We chose this home having had my mother here previously and would recommend going forward.

We could not have wished for such a pleasant, comfortable and welcoming care home. The treatment and care given to my sister were wonderful and dignified. The staff were excellent, both to my sister and family, always welcoming and smiling. Her room was lovely, well-kept and food was of excellent quality. Nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend Porthaven to anyone. Thank you for your care, especially in her final days, to her and us.

All the staff are delightful in this beautiful welcoming care home. They are like family whilst being totally professional. It would be hard to find any better. We can't thank them all enough.
