We are very pleased with the care provided for Liz. We find it difficult watching her dementia progress but staff seem to know her well and how to cope with her ways. We are sorry that she has not taken part in the wide range of activities provided during her time at Penhurst (over 3 years now). The staff have tried to engage her but she's not interested. We prefer to be told things as they are - we find some staff better than others at this. Our overall experience is excellent, and management are easy to speak to.

'Above and beyond' are the words I would use to describe the care my cousin and her husband have received at Penhurst Gardens. They had previously been residents at several care homes but none can compare. Lynne and her team are truly exceptional and we are so grateful to them.

The staff are all so kind and happy to help the residents. You can tell that the home has a real community atmosphere and that the staff are dedicated to give the best care possible to residents. Having volunteered at the home for just over a year I can say that it is one of the best care homes I have personally experienced.

My husband has been to Lincroft for respite for me for more than 5 years. In June he needed to go there full time. The staff are amazing with his complex dementia. I love the fact that they check on how I am doing as well as caring for my husband. I can discuss different problems with the staff so I still feel involved with his care. I can have meals with him in the Bistro.

A week in Penhurst was a great way to recover from 3 days in Hospital. I knew the home from the time my husband stayed + died there. The atmosphere is clean + efficient, staff are all friendly + prepared to help at any time. Food was greatly improved since 2018 + excellent + well presented.

Only been 3 weeks but feels a lot longer, carers are true to their title. All the team are 5* + with level of help. Only fly in oitment is Laundry. Takes a long time. And over heard one resident say they were wearing someone else's clothing. But I also know that happens in every Care home.

My Mother isn't the easiest person to please but she is so happy in this wonderful care home. The staff are absolutely amazing, they are kind, patient, fun, I cannot praise them enough. All staff, from the receptionist to the cleaners are all wonderful. Jean is so happy & keeps saying this place is amazing. I haven't mentioned the food which is delicious. There is not enough space for this to say everything

P has stayed at Penhurst Gardens for a period of 1 week. He has received the best of care and understanding. All of the staff, without exception, have been most helpful and caring. P had been ill, took time to settle but enjoyed himself. All of this enabled the 'carer guilt' to be minimal and gave peace of mind. Thank you all! P will be returning.

My friend of 50yrs has moved into Penhurst Gardens due to having had a stroke. She's been there over 12 months now and has been very happy. The food is brilliant & we all love the pastries, cake, tea & coffee available in the lounge. The staff have been so kind & helpful, it seems like nothing is too much trouble for them. When we visited Val recently the staff & activity team had worked with her to organise a surprise birthday party for me!! It was fantastic. The kitchen prepared lots of lovely food & an amazing birthday cake & the activity team had helped Val construct a quiz & other games. Everyone was bowled over to think that was possible in a care home.

My wife and I have recently returned to Yorkshire after visiting our very good friend Val in Penhurst Gardens We have visited 2 or 3 previous times and on each visit we are so pleased she is there. We had been concerned about her moving out of her own home into a care home, but she is so happy there and feels so safe and secure. We have found the staff to be truly outstanding. They are so welcoming and friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. Our friend says she loves the food & we got a chance to eat in the Fine Dining room with some of her family and Val and us, That was a wonderful time for all of us. Penhurst Gardens really is a home away from home.

Lincroft Meadow is first class. I managed to move my father here rather urgently and from the initial phone call, I just knew he was going to the right place, which was confirmed in practice by the lovely welcome he was given on arrival, and the care he has had subsequently....the colour returned to his cheeks within 24 hours! All the staff are exceptionally kind, helpful and thoroughly professional. The facilities and extras are all great. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

We have no regrets that we chose Penhurst Gardens.

It's lovely to know we can pop in at any time to visit and always receive a warm welcome.

I had a very satisfactory respite stay at Penhurst between the 7th of March and the 11th of April 2026, following replacement knee surgery. I find the facilities, food and the staff all excellent. Staff very caring and helpful. Indeed the whole stay and surroundings were all very much fit for purpose for my needs. Based on my experience, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Penhirst to others with similar needs.

I often visit my friend who is a permanent resident at Cotswold Gate, I am always made welcome by the staff. My friend is well looked after, and enjoys the activities, sometimes I join too. The singers are always good to watch.

After looking at other care homes locally my sister and I chose Lincroft because the staff were all so friendly and welcoming, everyone smiled and/or said hello. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, It was also spotlessly clean. We could not be happier with her care.

They are very kind and offer help to Me with anything. The food here is very good and there is always extra if I want it. My room is well equipped and I have my own shower. The cleaner comes in every day. I enjoy the activities.

I am delighted with the care my relatives have received over the last month. The care home Manager and all the staff have gone out of their way to help them settle in . I could not ask for more, it feels very homely.
