Nina, my PAT dog, and I have now visited the care home several times, and we have always received a warm welcome from the staff. The residents are a pleasure to visit, and they clearly enjoy spending time with Nina. It is lovely to see the smiles she brings and the positive impact our visits have on everyone.

After over 2 years as a resident at this wonderful care home Mum passesd away. We can not thank Christine and the whole team on Scotney enough for the dignity, dedication and care they showed to Mum and the family during her final weeks. We had always been delighted with the level of care and support at the home and the end of life care made the journey for us all so much easier to accept. We truly feel they went above and beyond what was expected and thank them all from the bottom of hearts.

Another good review for this wonderful home to show how they care for relatives as well as residents. I celebrated my birthday with a sit down Sunday lunch in the private dining room together with 7 other members of my family. It was lovely for my husband, a resident, to be included in this family gathering. Darren did us proud with a lovely traditional Sunday lunch, and produced a wonderful birthday cake which was quite unexpected. An example of how the staff at Tonbridge House always go the extra mile.

For my husband's birthday I booked a buffet luncheon in the private dining room for 10 family members, including 5 grandchildren. The chef had to deal with varied dietary requirements including a serious peanut allergy and gluten free food. The spread which greeted us was a fantastic variety of savoury and sweet finger food and drinks. The G.F birthday cake was delicious and presentation was first class. Well done!

Review of Cavell Park Care Home from Kelly R (Daughter of Resident) published on 27 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My Mum moved into Cavell Park August 2024, she had just turned 71. She agreed to move in due to her needing 24/7 nursing care.
She lived as part of the Cavell Park community until the 5th May 2026 when she passed peacefully.
During her time there she was respected, cared for and during her last week, shown such compassion and care which as a family was so much needed. The staff clearly cared for my Mum as we were not the only ones in tears.
Staff are not only just supportive to the resident but the family visitors too, I went any time day or night to see my Mum.
Mum struggled with activities due to her health and being younger than the average resident. But there is a large activity menu, cinema and small gym there.
The building is modern and fresh, a cafe for residents and visitors, a nice garden to walk around and a lovely bunch of cheerful people working there always happy to help.

I would recommend Cavell Park to anyone needing full time care.

Review of Cavell Park Care Home from Lyn C (Niece of Resident) published on 13 May 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

A delightful and welcoming environment. The ethos of care, dignity and respect absolutely pervades every part of this residential home. Residents are treated as mature adults who now in their later years require additional help to live valued lives. Staff are always welcoming, friendly, supportive and informed. I know my relative is known as an individual and liked for who she is. The home is spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. It always has a happy atmosphere with lots of activities and chatter.

Overall Experience

I came for respite care after a broken hip due to a fall, not knowing what to expect after reading bad reports on care homes, but I can say all I have received is wonderful treatment and service from a very caring staff. The room is immaculate, very nice to be in. With all the help and needs catered for, even with my health set backs I and they have endured. I feel like this is my home and the staff I regard as my family, and I am deeply sad to be leaving.

My parents went into Cavell Park just over a year ago and I left a review in their first couple of weeks to say how wonderful the staff and facilities are. A year on, I thought it may help others in making their decision based on so much more knowledge this time around. In short, we could not have made a better decision than to choose Cavell Park. The kindness of the team, no matter whether you are talking about catering, housekeeping, reception, caregivers, activities or management, is exceptional. Mum and Dad were both quite poorly when they arrived in January 2025. Over a year on, they are thriving. The atmosphere is just lovely. The residents care for one another too and it is lovely to see the friendships in the Bistro area. The team really knows each individual and the whole building operates like one big family. I feel like family! It is quite an incredibly run place. Gemma and Cristina - you are amazing, along with all of your team. Thank you so much for the kindness and care.

We love the opportunity to eat with our mum in the 'family dining room'. The food here is of an exceptional standard and the chef is always cheerful and accomodating. Also the Valentines afternoon tea was wonderful better than the afternoon tea at a London landmark! Scones and cakes were delicious and the entertainment was fabulous!

I have been to the Valentine's day afternoon tea time with my lovely friend (she is a resident) and I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for the lovely afternoon tea. Everything was beautifully arranged, and it was such a warm and welcoming experience. The delicious treats, the tea, and most of all the wonderful company made it truly special. Special thanks to Kelly, Katie, Kate, the excellent chef and kitchen staff and everyone who was involved. Thank you very much!

It was a joy to spend the afternoon together, and it really brightened our day. Thank you for creating such a comfortable and cheerful atmosphere for everyone.

We were so impressed with the quality and presentation of the "Afternoon at a high end hotel" Valentines day tea.
We felt very lucky to be invited to enjoy this wonderful event, with my Mum, as guests.
The Entertainment Team worked very hard to organise and serve the guests and we were very impressed with the Guest Vocalist.

An uplifting and joyous event.

Kelly and Katie organised a fantastic Valentines afternoon tea for us all to enjoy with my mother, wife, brother and sister in law.
Darren, Kelly's husband, kindly stepped in to sing when the entertainer let them down.
Absolutely fabulous food from the kitchen.
All in all, a wonderful afternoon.

Can't thank everyone enough.

This is a thank-you to everyone who organised and took part in the Valentine Day's celebrations last Sunday. I was unable to attend myself but I had a remarkably favourable report from a close family friend who visited Tonbridge House and attended the afternoon's events with my wife. You offered an excellent spread of food and it seemed that everyone enjoyed it hugely. Many thanks.

My sister and I are very pleased with how quickly our mother has settled in. The staff are very caring and, although mum seemed a little anxious at first, she now seems much more relaxed. It is very reassuring for us that she is receiving the care and support that she deserves at this stage of her life.

Tonbridge House have been brilliant since my dad moved in after having had 2 strokes. As a result he needs some nursing care & a team who are very patient when he gets anxious and panicked, & the team are phenomenal at helping him when he is feeling out of sorts. He is encouraged to do lots of activities, has so many opportunities for day trips out and even helps with some activities (like French lessons!). My dad isn't an 'old' man & at first I was concerned that being in 'a home' would be difficult, but it has been the best decision - more mental stimulus and GP & nurse interaction than ever before. He always looks neat & tidy and his room is beautifully clean every day. On his birthday, the chef did an incredible afternoon tea for him & some of our family in the private dining room. It really meant a lot to us. Despite dad sometimes not understanding about why he needs to be looked after, he is happy and starting to settle very well. The staff are brilliant, very thankful for them.

I have been very impressed with the care my dad has received throughout due to the injuries he sustained in the accident meaning broken neck fracture of the spine and head injury and profound deafness. Several hospital visits. They have dealt with everything with care and understanding and supported me too. If I request something for dad, they promptly deal with it, so thank you.
