Mum moved to Haddon Hall in December 2024, and every day since then she has received compassion and has been treated with the utmost respect. She is afe and this gives us - her family - great reassurance. The care staff are helpful and patient. They are all friendly and have a happy disposition. Many
of the care staff go above and beyond, helping us as family members as well as residents. Families of other residents are helpful and supportive. Haddon Hall is Mum's home - it feels like one big family here.

The care Mum receives is really good. Staff are helpful, friendly and very respectful in Mum's care. The care home is always clean & tidy and very inviting for visitors.

The care and support mum received was excellent, she was treated with compassion, dignity, the nurses and care staff are amazing + go above + beyond for the people they care for. The domestic team, are very good at what they do, brightening mums day with their conversations whilst working. The kitchen
always did their best to arrange alternative foods if mum wanted something different. Overall we cannot praise the manager + her teams enough for everything.

Due to declining health, my cousin has moved to Haddon Hall. As soon as I made contact and viewed the care home, I immediately knew he would be happy and professionally cared for. My sister-in-law has been a resident at Haddon Hall Care Home since August of this year. We visit at least three times a week and are always greeted in a warm and friendly manner by both office staff, management, service and nursing staff. The care and love the staff show towards the residents is obvious
for all to see.

I came here for two weeks of respite after feeling very low after the death of my husband and having a nasty chest infection, I felt the need for some care and rest. I have found this a wonderful experience. The staff are so caring, and nothing is too much trouble. I have really enjoyed my time here

This home provides fabulous care for my mother. She has been there for 2 years and is cared for by a team of fabulous people. Her carers, the longstanding and incredibly hard-working and empathetic social and events team, the food, the excursions are all fabulous. Mum has been on van trips and outings,
made lots of crafty things, and enjoyed singalongs and performances and movie nights. The team at Haddon Hall have become her extra family. My mum has benefitted hugely in her well-being and enjoys her time living at Haddon Hall.
There are moments when I can see that there may be benefits from the management team having more empathy for their staff, and appreciating and respecting their efforts and time their staff spend caring and working with their residents. There have been a number of management changes in the time Mum has been there. Sometimes the staff seem to have been under a lot of time and roster pressure, but the care is and remains faultless for our Mum. We are so grateful to Haddon Hall.

Hello, my name is Charlotte, and I am the Home Manager here at Haddon Hall Care Home.


With over 20 years of experience as a registered Adult Nurse, I joined the Porthaven family in 2023 as the Nurse Clinical Manger at Haddon Hall before becoming the Home Manager. My nursing carer has spanned many specialities. I am passionate about caring for our local community and supporting local people. My aim is to provide the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to our residents where each person and their families feel valued, respected and celebrated. My goal is to nurture staff and give them individual opportunities for growth.

Hello, my name is Richard Vaughan, and I am the Client Services Manager here at Haddon Hall.


Having worked in customer service for most of my life, I take pride in putting people first and ensuring service is king. When I joined Haddon Hall I was delighted to see how nice, warm and friendly the team here are and how special they make our residents feel.


My role as client services manager involves supporting people through the process of choosing a care home and offering advice, guidance, reassurance and compassion for individuals and their loved ones. Hello, my name is Sharon Gillespie, and I am the Home Trainer here at Haddon Hall.


I have an NVQ level 5 Management in Health and Social Care and a Petal level 3 in Teacher Training Award, and I have worked for Porthaven for nearly 12 years.


Haddon Hall is an amazing home to work in; the staff and our residents are fantastic, and we think of ourselves as one big happy family. I thoroughly enjoy my role and find training new care staff incredibly rewarding. We pride ourselves on delivering person-centred care and making a positive difference in the lives of our residents.


I have two grown-up children who I raised in Cheshire, and I now have five wonderful grandchildren.
