Without question Haddon Hall Care Home is outstanding. Every member of staff offers a personal service to residents and their families. The quality of the food preparation and service offers a varied menu and is always of excellent quality. The nursing care and personal care are wonderful, our father
receives care at the highest level. We would highly recommend Haddon Hall so if you are considering a care home please come and take a look!

Since my husband at Haddon, myself and the family have been more impressed as time has gone by. The place is lovely and clean with pleasant decor. The staff are all excellent and cannot do enough to help/support.
We are kept up to date with anything happening to my husband, especially doctor reviews
etc.
The food is excellent, even if David is not eating a lot at the moment, this is not a reflection of how good the home-cooked food is.

My elderly, disabled relative has recently returned home following a week's respite care at the Haddon. Whilst there is no doubt the home is beautiful, what makes it shine are the wonderful, hardworking staff. Can't recommend highly enough!

Thank you to all of the wonderful staff at the Haddon Hall Care Home who cared for my father so professionally and kindly during the last two weeks of his life.
Your end-of-life nursing care and compassion from the moment I spoke to you for your help in getting my father moved to Haddon Hall, right
through the very short period he was with you was perfect and very much appreciated.
I would also mention the extra small personal things you did for him like visiting him in the hospital before he came to you so that he knew who you were and where he was going, the flowers and card in his room when he arrived and for taking in a pet hedgehog to visit him as he loved them so much, this was really lovely. Finally, thank you for the kindness you showed to us in his last few hours with him and the dignity and respect you showed to him at this time, this will never be forgotten.

Mum was at Haddon Hall for approx 18 months. She was always happy and well cared for. The staff became an extension of her family and always looked after us when we visited too.
Mum died there on the 19th of November, and the staff eased her journey and treated her with respect and love.
At all
times, Haddon Hall was clean and calm, with plenty of different activities. The manager is pushing through some very good improvements.

Following a total knee replacement operation, I came to Hadden Hall Care Home for 1 week of convalescence care. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. My room was very well-appointed, and there was a welcome vase of flowers on the table. I was overwhelmed
with kindness and care, and I soon re-established my confidence and mobility. The food was excellent and plentiful, and my stay provided what I was looking for perfectly.

This was my partner's second stay at Haddon Hall for respite care. He was placed in the same room as before, this helped with settling in as he suffers from great anxiety amongst other problems. The staff are kind, considerate of personal needs, very welcoming and conscientious. Food is well prepared
and served with care to personal taste. The environment is spacious, clean and well-decorated.
The management structure is approachable, very knowledgeable and very friendly and supportive of family.
I received a phone call from a member of staff before my partner's second stay to discuss any additional needs or changes for the upcoming stay. I found that very supportive and highlighted the level of professionalism within the entire structure of the home to make sure they could respond to his needs.
My partner will be staying again soon as I know he will be well cared for and for a few days, I can sleep and not worry too much about him.
I would not hesitate to recommend Haddon Hall for respite and nursing care.

I spent a fortnight in Hadden Hall Care Home for respite holiday care while my family were away. I was made very welcome by everyone, the care staff kind and patient, food was very substantial and well prepared and served by the kitchen and dining room staff.

My 94 -years-old mum was cared for following an operation for a fractured hip. We were very pleased with the care given by the staff. She was there for four weeks. I would strongly recommend Haddon Hall.

Nothing about the care at this wonderful home can be faulted. The care staff certainly go the extra mile and show a great understanding of the individual resident and have considerable compassion.

All the day staff are fantastic and look after me very well. I can’t fault them.
I find it less reassuring at night as most of the staff seem to be agency and seem less interested and interactive. My room is lovely.

All care staff are kind, friendly, polite and helpful. Room cleaning service is excellent. Pureed meals provided for my father are usually good, but not quite the same as a proper meal. Provision of fruit in the afternoon is good.

Mum came to Haddon Hall six years ago. From the start, the staff were kind, welcoming, good at caregiving and conscientious. Alongside their unfailing good humour, these qualities - so dreadfully tested during the years of the pandemic - remained undiminished. For someone wanting to be confident that
a person they love will be in the best possible hands, these seem to me to be the most important qualities a care team can have.

Hello, my name is Charlotte, and I am the Home Manager here at Haddon Hall Care Home.


With over 20 years of experience as a registered Adult Nurse, I joined the Porthaven family in 2023 as the Nurse Clinical Manger at Haddon Hall before becoming the Home Manager. My nursing carer has spanned many specialities. I am passionate about caring for our local community and supporting local people. My aim is to provide the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to our residents where each person and their families feel valued, respected and celebrated. My goal is to nurture staff and give them individual opportunities for growth.

Hello, my name is Richard Vaughan, and I am the Client Services Manager here at Haddon Hall.


Having worked in customer service for most of my life, I take pride in putting people first and ensuring service is king. When I joined Haddon Hall I was delighted to see how nice, warm and friendly the team here are and how special they make our residents feel.


My role as client services manager involves supporting people through the process of choosing a care home and offering advice, guidance, reassurance and compassion for individuals and their loved ones. I feel very honoured and humbled to have the opportunity to be able to help at each stage of the process, from showing people around our home to assisting them on moving-in day and everything in between.

I have an NVQ level 5 Management in Health and Social Care and a Petal level 3 in Teacher Training Award, and I have worked for Porthaven for nearly 12 years.


Haddon Hall is an amazing home to work in; the staff and our residents are fantastic, and we think of ourselves as one big happy family. I thoroughly enjoy my role and find training new care staff incredibly rewarding. We pride ourselves on delivering person-centred care and making a positive difference in the lives of our residents.


I have two grown-up children who I raised in Cheshire, and I now have five wonderful grandchildren.
