My brother spent 2 weeks in respite care at Haddon Hall Care Home and was a changed man - he gained weight and mobility and was generally a much more cheerful person.

Having been in two care homes between January and April and not happy with either, we moved my mother in a bit of a rush to Haddon Hall. They were exceptional in helping us facilitate this move and my Mother settled in quickly and soon made friends. All staff have been very friendly, chatty and patient with my mother and with me. She has always been encouraged to join in activities which are varied and regular with outside entertainers coming in about once a month. The carers are amazing, although very busy, they always have a cheerful manner when coming in to help Mum, which Mum really appreciates. Office staff are very efficient with the financial side and any queries have been quickly resolved.

Overall Experience
A close friend of mine has spent eighteen months in Haddon Hall Care Home and I visited regularly, usually once a week. During that time he has always been treated with the utmost care and consideration. The staff at all levels have been helpful, compassionate and caring. A high degree of professionalism runs throughout the organisation.
The home has a welcoming air of calm efficiency. Standards of cleanliness are high and it has always been a pleasure to walk into the place as I visit.
Staff selection and training seem excellent. All contacts I have met there, from management through to carers and maintenance, have been helpful, efficient, friendly and often charming.
Any small problems that I have encountered have been dealt with courteously and efficiently.

I have no hesitation in recommending Haddon Hall to anyone in need of care facilities.

From the initial enquiry to leaving the care home, the service was exceptional. The care home is beautiful and the staff are amazing. The level of care is beyond expectation. Having a relative move from their home is a difficult experience - Haddon Hall care team made it something wonderful. My mum could not have been better looked after.

My mother spent the last seven weeks of her life at Haddon Hall. All of my family, who constantly visited her at London Road, wanted to thank all the staff there for their cheerful, professional and dedicated help and support for her. Over the six months of my Mum's illness, we saw the issues of the elderly and of their health care from the inside, rather than as a news item that one viewed from the outside. We also saw the worst and the best of Britain's care and health services. Your place was distinguished by the very highest standards. Not only did you make our wonderful mother's last days as good as they possibly could have been, you also treated us with kindness and consideration. Your standards of care were exemplary and we cannot thank you enough.

There is only one word I can use to describe this care home and that is excellent in every way. It is beautifully decorated in a light modern way that is most welcoming and there is everything for a patient's comfort and well-being. I found everybody there, from the senior staff to the cleaners, most cheerful and pleasant. I can highly recommend this care home service.

Myself and my family as a whole were very happy with the care that my late great grandma was given at this facility until she passed away in May last year. We found the facilities were very good and its staff friendly and approachable. It is maybe dearer than other care homes in the area but it's very good. Can deffo recommend it.

My husband goes into Haddon Hall roughly 4 times a year to give me a break.

The staff always greet him like a long-lost friend. He is very happy there. If his condition worsens a lot, I would have no hesitation in placing him there permanently.

My mother stayed at Haddon Hall Care Home from the 10th November until the 20th December 2016 when a vacancy unexpectedly became available at a care home just a short distance from our home. This was the only reason we moved her. The care she received at Haddon Hall was absolutely first class from both the administration staff and the carers. Clearly, the carers were most in contact with my mother and we were really overwhelmed by their kindness to her and their professionalism. Everything about Haddon Hall, from the furnishings to the activities and to the food was of top quality. We would have absolutely no reservations whatsoever about recommending this Care Home to others.

My mother needed to be in a care home as a matter of urgency. The staff at Haddon Hall were fantastic during the admission procedure. They acted quickly, efficiently and sensitively. My mother, though confused, was happy and settled surprisingly well. However, she has moved rooms three times since June, the last time to a different floor with different staff and residents around her. This has not been ideal.

The cleanliness is so noticeable on entering all parts of Haddon Hall. Staff are cheerful and welcoming - are always approachable.

Staff are always sympathetic and friendly to all residents. The activities are stimulating and varied, the trips in the mini-bus are varied and well thought out. No problems with the variety of food. Lovely - well looked after gardens, plenty of seating outside for residents and visitors.

After looking after my mother for six years I did not think anyone could do the job as well as me. Thankfully I was wrong. Mother has severe Alzheimer's and the staff at Haddon Hall are so good with her in all ways I feel happy to leave her there. All the staff are absolutely brilliant, nothing is too much for them and all done with a smile.

In my postal review, now reading it back, I feel I have 'underplayed' the amazing excellence of the staff. All my life I can only remember my mother as a critical dictatorial woman, now she is happy and relaxed. This is all thanks to the quality of care she receives and the environment in which she lives. They are all wonderful and always pleasant in a very challenging area and the home is beautiful. Thank you to the manager and all your team for everything you do.

My mum has dementia and is living at Haddon for end of life nursing care, I looked around 9 nursing homes that I compared to Haddon. From my first phone call I was put at ease, after months of hospitals I finally felt someone really wanted to give mum the help she dearly deserves. They make me feel I am 100% part of her care, I'm always welcomed by warm, smiling, attentive staff, nothing is ever too much trouble. They care for mums every need, giving her care, support, dignity with true kindness and love. I have met dozens of staff and each and everyone deserves my thanks and admiration, they are truly in the right profession for the right reason. I feel extremely lucky to have found such an inspiring home for my amazing mum to spend the rest of her life in. I will be eternally grateful x.

Cannot praise this care home highly enough. It is clean and bright in all areas. My mother is treated with great care. All staff, that includes house keeping, carers and management are pleasant and friendly at all times. After all the scares about care homes in press and on TV, I feel happy and confident mother is safe and well looked after in Haddon Hall Care Home and I am sure this high standard will be maintained.
