I have been talking to Ann (client service manager) for the last couple of years preparing for my step fathers needs regarding full time care. Ann has been unwavering in her communication and help with the timings. When my stepfather was admitted to hospital following a fall the time was right and Ann did everything she could to get him admitted into Falkland care. The whole team here have been exceptional for their care patience, time particularly with the extra nursing care he needed

My father has stayed in Falkland Grange for recovery after a broken shoulder, and the care he has received has been faultless. He has been so well looked after and made to feel at home. The staff have been so kind and compassionate, we would highly recommend Falkland Grange for your loved ones.

My husband, Jeffrey, spent two weeks at this lovely care home having respite care. He settled in straight away and seemed very happy. The staff have been attentive and caring. We will definitely want him to return in the future.

Having brought my father to Newbury from Cheltenham, the staff and residents of Falkland Grange have made him and myself so welcome. Dad now feels completely at home and settled, and I am so relieved that he is cared for and safe. The staff and care is wonderful, the home is beautifully maintained, clean, warm, tidy and friendly.

My mother enjoyed her month at Falkland Grange, which gave us peace of mind whilst we were in Chile. She enjoyed talking to people of her own age, playing Scrabble, poetry, and the food was delicious.

Father has been here for two months, having moved out of his home of fifty years. After settling into a nice room with a view of the garden, he has enjoyed the experience. The staff are excellent and competent. The food and activities are good, and the common areas good.

I cannot say enough good words about Falkland Grange. Dad came here last year after experiencing terrible care in another home which impacted him both physically and emotionally. From the first day here he was welcomed, treated as a person and not a room number. He was allowed and encouraged to be as independent as possible, he gained weight and started to be himself again. One of my favourite memories is finding him in the garden with a group of other residents having a wonderful singsong, lead by the activities coordinator.

Recently Dad's dementia has progressed and his health has declined but I know that he is being cared for with love and kindness and I have witnessed care that goes beyond a job description. The way that staff have responded to his changing needs has been faultless. Nothing is too much trouble.

I required respite for my partner at very short notice and when I spoke to the manager at Falkland Grange I was impressed by the way she dealt with my request and my partner was in the home the following day. The staff at FG are all helpful and professional and most of all caring. Full marks to Daniela and her team.

We know how difficult it can be both emotionally and logistically to find care at such short notice, so I am glad we were able to support you and your partner at this time.

From the first time I visited Falkland Grange, I was impressed by the warm welcome that I received from all of the staff. Dad's transition was handled sensitively, and we were both supported with every step.

Dad has now been in residence for 6 weeks, and all is going well.

My mum was discharged to Falkland Grange after spending seven weeks in hospital after a fall that required a femur mend and hip replacement. After the first week, my mum had made friends and said how good the carers were. She looked great and was very happy. Since then, Mum has grown in confidence, she has put on weight, chats with the other residents and participates in activities and outings. She says everyone is very kind. Knowing that Mum is eating well, getting her medication at the right time and benefitting from 24 hour support has been a huge relief to me.

This is a wonderful care home with excellent facilities and resources, a lively and thoughtful activities programme, wonderful food, and outstanding care by sympathetic and empathetic staff. Families are very much encouraged to join in and visit often (I visit every day). My father only came for 2 weeks' respite care whilst I had an operation, and then he wanted to stay. He has made new friends and tried new activities here, too. Thank you to everyone at Falkland Grange.

We were needing to find a placement for our mother at short notice following a hospital admission. Falkland Grange were very responsive and sensitive, and kind in assessing and offering a place very quickly. We could not be more impressed by the care of all the staff who treat the whole family with kindness and my mum and dad with dignity too. The facilities and activities are excellent too.

From the moment I called to enquire the staff at Falkland Grange have been outstanding. My initial 'look around' was ad-hoc but set the positive tone. The home is bright and airy, spacious and there are plenty of modern facilities. I'm constantly surprised by the friendliness of all the staff and the time they have to spend with residents - there is a calmness and positivity throughout which is refreshing. The entrance and 'Bistro' has a hotel feel and is welcoming - the rooms, shared areas and kitchens clean and, I have to say, the food score from an incredibly picky resident very high! There's always something happening and those involved in the activities are genuinely passionate about engagement. Transitioning from independent living to care has been a bumpy ride, I can't lie, but we've had strong and active support from the team who understand the challenges and have offered sound advice.

Having tried previous home which was satisfactory but didn't understand my husband's need to be able to see outside and be able to walk around. Since he has been @ Falklands he is very settled and bright the staff seem to understand the needs of dementia people without resorting to drugs as a last resort.

I will be having a weeks holiday shortly and I feel comfortable that my husband will be well looked after and he will be happy.
