My mum has been at the home for over a year now and a lot of the staff who look after her were there when she arrived. So the staff genuinely know her and take an interest in her health and well being. They know what activities she enjoys, and when she is feeling a bit 'under the weather' and they do let me know. The food is always well balanced nutritionally and like home cooked food, not typical mass produced food. The whole home is always very clean and never smells stale.

What a home! Previously I had only visited a council home and assumed all were alike. How wrong was I! Falkland Grange is like a 5 star hotel with staff to match. My friend didn't have a bad word to say. He loves living there and I can see why. Staff were polite and attentive, the home was just that - a home, and the facilities on offer are amazing. I just hope my finances will cover me in a home like this when I retire.

My husband and I came to visit a friend who is a resident at Falkland Grange Care Home. At the time of the visit, my husband had sadly been diagnosed with terminal cancer and had come to say his goodbyes to his friend. The management put on private dining for us (we knew nothing about this until we arrived) so it could be personal and confidential at such sad times. The food was amazing and even catered for my son-in-law who is a Coeliac. The greeting we received on reception was very friendly, helpful and thoughtful given the circumstances. Management even came to greet us. All the care staff were caring. Whilst we were there the home had a great atmosphere as other residents were in the bistro area chatting and having tea with cake which was lovely to see. We loved the home and was so pleased to see our friend happy and settled.

I cannot praise this care home enough, all of the staff go above and beyond to help the residents feel part of their family. My husband has young onset dementia, he was very withdrawn and lonely before he became a resident of Falkland Grange, since his admission he is living the best life, he is happy, he is engaged in meaningful activities, goes out on trips and is included in all of the social past times as possible. All of the staff always say hello to him in passing and got to know his likes and dislikes very quickly. I would and have recommended Falkland Grange Care Home to several of my friends. Family members that have visited have all stated what a wonderful place it is.

The home has been the perfect sanctuary for my grandma!
She was moved in rather quickly after an episode of delirium following an infection meant admission to hospital. From organising a viewing to getting my grandma moved in was a seamless and fantastic experience.
She absolutely adores it there - the care she receives is superb, the activities are fantastic and she is truly happy there.

More recently, I’ve been liaising with the home about coming to do a talk for a charity event I’m doing for Alzheimer’s Society - the whole home and staff could not be more supportive and accommodating to help me organise something. Overall, a wonderful, wonderful home!

I think tick boxes say it all. I have not much to add in real detail except 1,2,3, below:
1. Rooms are very small and there is little space for the storage of clothes etc.
2. Dignity - I quote from a message I sent to my son:- Today I played Outdoor Softball Bowls and other players who were almost all from the first floor here (mainly suffering from dementia etc). They are all treated so well here and they are really delightful residents.

3. Value for money - much affected by the rise in food prices and staff shortages.

I would like to share my grateful thanks to the wonderful care my Father received during his time at Falkland Grange. He experienced the best care anyone could possibly have. Falkland became a family to brother and myself. We were always made to feel so welcome during our visits and were always kept informed of his health and well being. He was always treated with the utmost respect and never failed to tell us how wonderful the staff were.

My father died recently and the carers treated us with such sympathy and love. We will always return to have a cup of tea and chat with are friends at Falkland. I cannot recommend highly enough this wonderful care home.

Having experienced the standard of care in the home for my late Father I cannot thank the staff enough.
I cared for my father in his own home but started to struggle so I placed my father in the care of Falkland Grange.
The team are all amazing and I can't thank them enough. The nurse who completed the pre assessment at home put my mind at ease and this continued to his last day. They supported me through a difficult period in our life.
Sadly my father has now passed away but my last memories are very kind.

Thank you everyone for being so caring.

I visited Falkland Grange Care Home as my friend's daughter moved in at the beginning of the year. I was really impressed it's friendly, clean, tidy and looks like a posh hotel.

The gardens are beautiful, I know my friend's daughter loves all the plants and birds especially.

My husband, some friends and I visited the home in order to make a special presentation to a friend who is one of the residents. The staff - and one member in particular - showed great interest in the event and could not have been more hospitable, even inviting some of the other residents to join in. Refreshments were provided for us, free of charge, and the whole occasion was very pleasant, with the staff ensuring that our friend had her hair done and was prettily dressed for her special day. Thank you to everyone.

Mum's ideal is to live with her boys but that is not possible and Falkland has provided an alternative that she is really happy with. Everything is 100% and it is really comforting to know that mum is content, safe and really well cared for. Expensive but worth it. Thanks so much!

My father has been a resident for fifteen months and during this time has been well cared for despite him not being the easiest of people. His changing needs have always been met with enthusiasm and rigour. The staff are to a person, caring and kind, and my father always tells me how good they are. The environment at Falkland Grange is well kept and again a credit to the staff. The meals are varied and appetising and always well presented.

I visited my aunt whilst she was at Falkland Grange Care Home the care she received was always to a very high standard. Sadly my aunt passed away but the end-of-life care she received was amazing. She was always made comfortable and the staff could not do enough for my aunt or our family. I would highly recommend Falkland Grange Care Home to anyone looking for a place for their loved ones.

My dad couldn't be happier at Falkland Grange Care Home! I was so relieved when a room came up for him when we really needed it. All the staff are lovely, friendly and can't do enough to help. The other residents are lovely too, so my dad soon made some friends. He has been taken out on several trips already, which he has really enjoyed. I can't recommend it enough!

Due to Covid restrictions, we have had limited exposure to the staff caring for Dad, however, those that we engaged with were professional and caring. Once it became clear that Dad was coming towards the end of his life we were kindly allowed more open access (after appropriate Covid testing and mask-wearing in shared areas). We saw the Home in much more detail.

Firstly the care, both physical and emotional for Dad, was incredible. This was demonstrated in so many ways by the care manager, all the nurses, all the carers, all the office and reception staff, even the in house hairdresser and the lad who was doing the cleaning. The culture that came through from everyone was that they were all invested in and wanted to make sure they did the very best for Dad. It was extremely humbling to see the genuine care and love every one of them showed to Dad.

Staff were always asking whether we needed anything and even every member of staff knocked on the door and waited before entering
